Marie Stastny
Passed peacefully at Soldiers Memorial Hospital in Orillia on Monday October 29, 2012 in her 83rd year, following a short battle with cancer. Marie, predeceased by her loving husband Frank of 54 years, will be sadly missed by her sister Sidonie (Sidi) Kessler, by her sons Peter (Lori) of Port Colbourne, and Frank (Meg) of Richmond Hill, and by her grandchildren Ryan, Sean, Austin, Lindsay Kirkham, and Michael Kirkham. A memorial service will be held at the Doolittle Chapel of Carson Funeral Homes, 54 Coldwater St. E. Orillia, (705) 326-3595, on Saturday November 3, 2012 at 11 o’clock. Reception to follow at the Carson Funeral Home – Old Rectory Reception Centre. If desired memorial donations may be made to the Soldiers Memorial Hospital Foundation and would be appreciated by the family.

Shirley Elizabeth Davis
Passed peacefully at Trillium Manor in Orillia on Monday October 29, 2012 in her 75th year. Shirley, loving wife to Bruce, will be sadly missed by her children Jeff (Deb), Heather (Martin) Stevens, and Kevin (Janice), by her grandchildren Kristin (Kevin) Welsh, Matthew (Charlene) Davis, Andrea Stevens, Ashley Davis, and Ryan Davis, by her sisters Norma McLeod and Jean Beers, and by her brother Ronald Barnes. Shirley is predeceased by her sister Orma. The family will receive friends at the Doolittle Chapel of Carson Funeral Homes, 54 Coldwater St. E. Orillia, (705) 326-3595 on Thursday November 1, 2012 from 7 – 9 p.m.. Funeral services will be held at St. James Anglican Church on Friday November 2, 2012 at 1 o’clock. Interment at St. Andrews St. James cemetery to follow. If desired memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society and would be appreciated by the family.

Thomas George Mercer
passed away peacefully at Georgian Bay Hospital in Penetanguishene, Ontario on Monday, October 29, 2012 at the age of 80 years. Beloved husband for 62 years of Joan of Victoria Harbour. Dear brother of Les (Jill) and brother-in-law to Dennis, Kathleen (Al), Louvaine (Doug) and Tish. Predeceased by sister Kathy. Cherished cousin of Buster (Audrey). Dear father of Maureen (Doug), Tom (Amanda), Lu-Anne (Dave), Rick (Theresa) and Darlene (Jeff). Loving grandfather of Melissa, Alicia, Christine, D’arcy, Sarah and Travis. Great-grandfather to Kayden, Lily, Mason and Drew. Cremated at Carson Funeral Home, Midland, Ontario. Tom will be fondly remembered, greatly missed and forever loved by his many family and friends and a celebration of his life will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Heart and Stroke Foundation as expressions of sympathy.

Earl Richard Levack
passed away peacefully on Sunday October 28, 2012 at the Georgian Bay General Hospital, Midland, in his 49th year. Earl Levack, of Wyevale, beloved son of the late Norman Betty Levack. Dear brother of Norman (Jill) of Midland, Peter (Jean) of Elliott Lake, Robert (Esther) of Midland, Michael (Pat) of Penetanguishene, Howard (Cathy) of Midland, Harold (Andra) of Kingston, Kathleen (Don) Cox of Penetanguishene, Judy (Mark) of Nova Scotia and Michael Molloy of Midland. Will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his sister Luanne. Private family service was entrusted to Carson Funeral Homes – JH Lynn Chapel, 290 First Street, Midland (705) 526-6551. A celebration of Earl’s life will take place at a later date. Trevor Earl MacMillan
Suddenly as the result of an automobile accident on Monday October 15, 2012, in Summerside, Prince Edward Island at the age of 32. Trevor MacMillan formerly of Orillia, loving father of Nina & Daniel. Beloved son of Brenda MacMillan & the late Glenn. Loved brother of Earl MacMillan (Elizabeth) and step brother of Clinton, Shawna and Lisa. Dear uncle to Glen, & Jessica. Loving partner of Cherie. Trevor will be sadly missed by his many aunts, uncles, cousins, all his friends in P.E.I., close family friend Emily Cole and the mother of his children Kelly. Cremation has taken place. Christine Mary Theressa Pirie (Nee Smith)
passed away suddenly on Wednesday October 24, 2012 at the Georgian Bay General Hospital, Midland, in her 69th year. Christine Pirie, of Port McNicoll, beloved daughter of the late James and Christine Kerwin. Loving mother of Cindy Pirie (Jake Tower) of Port McNicoll, James Madigan of Penetanguishene, Mike (Sylvia) Madigan of Midland, and Samuel (Lisa) Buttineau of Port McNicoll. Dear grandmother of John, and the late James Pirie; Colin Marchand; Michael and Jessy Madigan, Brook and Taylor Madigan, and Melissa Buttineau and Jordan Charlebois; great grandmother of Cody, Steven, Landon, Sarah, Skylar, Sarah, Selena, and Aurora. Survived by her brother Abe (Shirley) Meness, and sisters Marie Meness, Patsy Kerwin (Leo Bottineau), Barb (John) Longlade, Carol Kerwin, Mary Jane Kerwin, and Betty (Jim) Kerwin. Predeceased by her brother Tony Smith and son-in-law Butch Juneau. Christine will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncle, and extended family and friends. Donald "Don" Alexander Thomson
Passed peacefully at Champlain Manor in Orillia on October 22, 2012 in his 83rd year. Don is predeceased by his wife Pat, and will be sadly missed by his awesome children Susan Thomson of London England and Andrew and his wife Tricia Thomson of Middleburg Virginia, and by his even more awesome grandchildren Max and Sammy. Leslie "Les" Arthur Wade
(WWII Veteran)
Peacefully at the Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital on Saturday October 20, 2012, in his 91st year. Leslie Wade of Orillia, beloved husband of Mildred Wade. Loving father of Carol Johnston (Gerry) of Maple. Cherished grandfather of Christopher Leggett (Gemma) and Adam Leggett (Debbie). Loved great grandfather of Elona, Carter & Owen. Dear brother of Hazel Thomes (Ernest predeceased) and the late Frederick Wade. Leslie served with the RCAF/RAF #419 Squadron stationed in England between 1941 and 1945. During that time he completed one tour of operations and received his Gold Operational Wings. Leslie was the last survivor of his squadron. Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation or funeral service. If desired, memorial donations to the Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family. Kirsten Marie Scudder
passed away peacefully at home on Thursday October 18, 2012 with her mom and dad by her side at the age of 13. Kirsten, of Midland, beloved daughter of Stephen and Jayleen Scudder. Kirsten will be sadly missed by her Nana and Papa Bertin, Gramma and Lee Cole, Grandpa and Monica Scudder, by her uncle Bubba and auntie Linda, uncle Brent and auntie Christine, uncle Andrew and auntie Lois, and auntie Jodi and Steve, Grammi and Pal, Gamma Jan and AL, and her cousins Mike, Ty, Jenn, Tay, Court, Jake, Kenzie, and Ashley. Kirsten will also be missed by her many friends from Bayview Public School. Family and friends will be received at Carson Funeral Homes – JH Lynn Chapel, 290 First Street, Midland (705) 526-6551 on Tuesday from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 PM. A funeral service will be celebrated in the chapel on Wednesday October 24, 2012 at 1 o’clock. Patsy Contois

passed away peacefully on Thursday October 18, 2012 at the Georgian Bay General Hospital, Midland, in her 60th year. Predeceased by her son Chad and parents Henry and Helen Contois. Survived by her brothers Alex (Yvette) Contois, Jerry (Rosemary) Contois, Ron (Kim) Contois, and Steven Contois all of Midland, and sisters Peggy (Martin) Charlebois also of Midland, and Shirley (Lionel) Brunelle of Penetanguishene. Patsy will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Robert Timothy Annis
Born November 19, 1954 in Tinsdale, passed away at Soldiers Memorial Hospital in Orillia on October 9, 2012, after many months fighting pulmonary fibroses, in his 58th year. Timm is survived by his brothers Paul of Winnipeg, Brian of Tinsdale and Jerry, and by many nieces and cousins. Timm will be sadly missed by his special friend Gail Bell. Helen O'Hare Schulz (Nee Temple)
Passed peacefully at Soldiers Memorial Hospital on Friday October 5, 2012 in her 88th year. Helen, predeceased by her husband Harry, will be sadly missed by her children Carolyn Harmer of Orillia, Bill Schulz (Gudrun) of Orillia, and Donna Mauriera (Estaban) of Orillia. Helen’s memory will be cherished by her grandchildren Christine, Kirk, Lori, Lisa, Katie and Matthew, and by her great grandchildren Shannon, Nicholas, Karen, Quinton, Luke, Jake, Rebecca, Emily, and Amelia, and by many nieces and nephews. Helen is predeceased by her daughter Janet McKenzie and by her brothers Lorne Jr. Temple, George Temple, and Edward Temple. Private family services. Passed peacefully at Leacock Care Centre in Orillia on Sunday October 7, 2012 in his 92nd year. Earl, loving husband to Ella, will be sadly missed by his son Paul (Diane) Horne, by his grandson Brent, by his granddaughter Andrea (Andrew), and by his sister-in-law Edith. passed away suddenly at home on Thursday September 27, 2012 in her 66th year. Shirley Beaudoin, of Penetanguishene, beloved partner of Norman Sharp for over 35 years. Loving mother of Karen (Richard) Gagne of Penetanguishene, John (Brenda) Beaudoin also of Penetanguishene, and Michael (Carol) Beaudoin of Midland. Shirley will be sadly missed by her 6 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, her sister Barb Legault and brother Orville Wright. Predeceased by her sisters Isabel Matthews, Teresa Wright, Doreen Legault, and brothers Elmer Wright, Clifford Wright, Raymond Wright and Russell Wright. Margaret Ruth Young
passed away peacefully on Thursday September 20, 2012 at the Georgian Bay General Hospital, Penetanguishene, surrounded by family after a brief illness. Margaret Young, of Midland, in her 81st year; a devoted Christian with the Midland Gospel Hall Church; will be sadly missed by her niece Wendy Young and her heart family. Survived by her brothers Lloyd (Edith) Young, and David (Pat) Young, and her sisters Helen Elsen, Joan Grondin, and Betty Musgrove. Margaret will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews and extended family and friends along with her faithful companion, dog Miracle. Family and friends will be received at Carson Funeral Homes – JH Lynn Chapel, 290 First Street, Midland (705) 526-6551 on Monday September 24 from 11:30 until 1 o’clock when a graveside service will take place at St. Mark’s Anglican cemetery , Midland.
