As a bride in 1940 she moved to Sudbury and joined the Elgar Singers, and later at the invitation of Monsignor Humphrey, became a founding member and soloist of the choir of the Church of Christ the King. For many years she was active in Church and community organizations, serving as president of the home and school association and president of the Catholic Women's League at Christ the King where she was a parishioner for over 60 years. As a young mother Anne encouraged her two daughters in their studies and musical pursuits, and enjoyed entertaining and especially baking for her family and friends. She was always interested in and supportive of the activities of her grandchildren and their families. Anne enjoyed a good game of bridge and the many friends she played with over the years. As well she and Frank spent several winters at their home in Meadowwood Farms near Ocala, Florida. Anne had a positive outlook on life and during her final years considered every day a gift which she made the most of.
