Robert Laferriere (brooks)

LAFERRIERE (Brooks), Robert - passed away at North Bay General Hospital, Scollard Site, Saturday, June 20, 2009. Robert Laferriere loved fiancee of Ellen Murray and former husband of Debbie Hampel in his 52nd year. Dearly loved father of Lindsay Laferriere. Loved son of Annette Brooks and 'dad' Paul Brooks. Dear brother of Paul Brooks, Allen Brooks (Helen) and Joyce Cliche (Gary). Robert was a member of North Bay Golf Club and very active in sports and his community. Lovingly remembered by his many nieces and nephews. Family receiving friends at the McGUINTY FUNERAL HOME, Wednesday 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 p.m. Funeral service will be conducted in the McGuinty Funeral Home Chapel, Thursday at 11:00 a.m. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Heart & Stroke Fund would be gratefully appreciated by the family.

MACPHERSON, Dale - At North Bay General Hospital, Scollard Site, Saturday, June 20, 2009. Dale MacPherson beloved husband of Bozena MacPherson (nee Szymkowicz) in his 58th year. Dearly loved father of Martin and Sarah MacPherson both of North Bay. Dear brother of Karolin MacPherson of North Bay and Philip MacPherson of Pennsylvania. Predeceased by his parents Lorna and Gilbert MacPherson. Family receiving friends at the McGUINTY FUNERAL HOME, Tuesday June 23rd from 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 p.m. Funeral service will be conducted in the McGuinty Funeral Home Chapel, Wednesday June 24th at 2:00p.m. Interment Forest Lawn Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Heart & Stroke Foundation would be gratefully appreciated by the family.

Allan James Mccaffrey

McCAFFREY, Allan James - Husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, friend, Allan James McCaffrey, a lover of travel, took one last journey this morning. Al, 69, died peacefully in the arms of his wife of 46 years, Jean, at their home in Battersea, Ontario. He was a member of the Elevator Local 96. Al was well loved by all. People are invited to visit with Jean, Sharon & Will, Darrin & Ruby, Gerald & Annette and their families. Join us for a toast and bring along fond memories this Sunday June 21, 2009 from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. - 1863 Wellington Street, Battersea, Ontario. Donations may be made to Battersea United Church - kitchen renovation. Allan enjoyed the camaraderie and many meals prepared in this kitchen by the local community.

Joe Maclean

MacLEAN, Joe - passed away suddenly at his residence on Thursday June 18, 2009 at the age of 56. Beloved son of Mae and the late Alex MacLean (1991). Dearly loved brother of the late Mary (1971), John (Josie), Mike (Diane), Therese (Andre) Czychun, Betty (Leigh) Darby, Don, Deanie, Rose (Pete) Methner, Paul (Patti), Shirley (Paul) Krueger and Dave (Dina). Predeceased by his niece Renee Krueger (2006). Uncle Joe will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his many nieces and nephews and by several aunts and uncles. He also leaves behind many good friends to cherish his memory, especially Meg Mulligan. Friends are invited to call at the PATTERSON FUNERAL HOME, 6062 Main St. visiting Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at St. Patrick's Church. Cremation will follow. In memory of Joe donations to the Arthritis Society would be appreciated by his family.

McTAGUE, Timothy David - (Tim the Flower Guy) - at the Douglas Memorial Hospital on Friday June 19, 2009. Tim McTague, husband of the late Jean (2008) and loving brother of Brenda (Ron) Mitchell, Jim, Barbara (Jim) Merry, John (Shirley), Ed (Sharon), Elizabeth, Michael and Kevin (Teresa). He will be sadly missed by Cuddles, his best friend and companion, by his friends Diane and Bill and by his second family at Garden City Growers. Predeceased by his sister Rosemarie. Friends may call at THE WILLIAMS FUNERAL HOME 722 Ridge Road North, Ridgeway from 2-4 and 7-9 Monday. Funeral services in the chapel Tuesday morning at eleven o'clock. Interment Ridgeway Memorial Cemetery. Memorial donations would be appreciated to the Juravinski Cancer Centre Foundation.

Grandmother to Michelle Collins, Patricia Jones (Kirk) and Leanne Collins. Great grandmother of Sarah, Julia, Joshua and John. Sister-in-law of Dorothy Armstrong & Gertrude English. Visitation will be held on Monday, June 22, 2009 from 1-2 p.m. at the NISBETT FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 600 MONAGHAN ROAD S., PETERBOROUGH, (705) 745-3211. Memorial service will be held in the Nisbett Chapel at 2 p.m. on Monday, June 22, 2009. In memory of Georgette, donations to the Heart & Stroke foundation would be appreciated.

MICALLEF, Thomas “Tom“ - passed away peacefully at his residence surrounded by his dear Elly and Max on Thursday, June 18, 2009. Tom Micallef of R.R. 4, Lakefield in his 58th year. Beloved husband and best friend of Elizabeth “Elly“ (Van Zutphen). Always remembered by his daughter Sherrie Micallef of Australia. Also survived by his father, two sisters and two brothers. Cremation has taken place. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to a charity of one's choice.
