John Henry Hutzler

HUTZLER, John Henry - Peacefully at Extendicare Hamilton on Wednesday, June 17, 2009 in his 97th year. Predeceased by his wife Jessie Wilhelmina (Billie) in 1993. Dearly loved and missed by his sons Don (Elaine) and Michael (Rennie), daughter Teresa Clushman (Michael), grandchildren Kathy, Jeff, Jennifer, Kevin, Matteke, Kellen and Brynn and great-grandchildren Katie, Taylor, Brock and Burke. Predeceased by his brother Robert and wife Jean. John was a long time employee at Bertram's for 47 years. In his younger years, John volunteered as a firefighter and played baseball for Dundas teams and enjoyed bowling and reading. Friends will be received by the family on Sunday afternoon and evening from 2-4 and 7-9, at the CATTEL, EATON & CHAMBERS FUNERAL HOME, 53 Main Street, Dundas. Funeral Mass will take place at ST. AUGUSTINE'S CHURCH, 58 Sydenham Street, Dundas on Monday at 11:00 a.m. Interment Grove Cemetery. In kindness, donations to Villa Italia Retirement Home or St. Augustine's Church would be appreciated by the family.

Dorothy Pearl (Avery) Kleinsmith

KLEINSMITH, Dorothy Pearl (Avery) - passed away at the Bluewater Health - Mitton Site on Thursday, June 18, 2009 at 81 years of age. Predeceased by her beloved husband Elmer Kleinsmith (1996). Dear mother of Arthur Elmer and wife Patricia of Revelstoke, B.C., Lester Edward and friend Miriam of Windsor, Robert Perry and wife Carla, Constance Anne and husband Tony Yarc and Paul Douglas and wife Mary Anne all of Sarnia. Loving grandmother of Terry (Malin), Jeffery( Lisa), Travis (Kristi), Danielle, Dustin, Joshua, Nicole, Ryan and Lauren. Cherished great grandmother to Kela Marlo. Visitation at the STEWART FUNERAL HOME, 254 George Street, on Sunday, June 21, 2009 from 2:00 - 4:00 pm. And 7:00 - 9:00 pm. Funeral Service will take place at Redeemer Lutheran Chuch, 429 Indian Road N. on Monday, June 22, 2009 at 11:00am. With Rev. Dr. Roger Ellis officiating. Interment in Lakeview Cemetery. George Burton Bailey

BAILEY, George Burton - of Espanola passed away at the Espanola General Hospital on Thursday, June 18th, 2009 in his 84th year. Beloved husband of Theresa (nee Savoie) Bailey of Espanola. Dear father of Jane (Mrs. Kevin Ellis) of Espanola, Tim (wife Janice) of Windsor, Robert (partner Cathie) of Gore Bay. Will be sadly missed by grandchildren, Christopher, Jason, Cassandra, Ryan, Andrew, Stephanie & Michael. Very dear brother of Robert Bailey of Pickering, Bill Bailey (wife Phyllis) of London, Mary (Mrs. Frank Bussieres) of Calgary & the late Marion Bowers (husband Harry). A Memorial visitation will be held at the BOURCIER FUNERAL HOME, Espanola on Monday, June 22nd at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. at St. Jude Roman Catholic Church, Espanola with Father Gilles Grandmont officiating. Interment in the Espanola Cemetery. If so desired, Memorial tributes may be made to the Northern Cancer Research Foundation.

Norman F. Hodgson

HODGSON, Norman F. - passed away peacefully with family on Thursday June 18, 2009 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. A long time resident of Chatham and an active community member. Retired as Superintendent of Schools for the former Kent Board, Norm spent his latter days enjoying family, golf and volunteering. Loving husband of the late Anne Hodgson (Shea) and dedicated father of the late Brad Hodgson, Byron Hodgson and Lisa McMahon (Hodgson) and father in law to Loree Hodgson-Harris (Anderson), Tina Hodgson (Amelia) and James McMahon. Very Proud Papa to Anna Joy, Meaghan, Dakota, Connor, Tara, Grace and Callum. Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and loving others. CURTIS, Benson - Suddenly at the QHC-Trenton Memorial Hospital on Wednesday June 17, 2009 at the age of 55 years. Beloved husband of 37 years to Tina Curtis of Trenton. Loving father of Leigh Ann (Shawn) and Melissa all of Trenton. Dear grandfather of Kaleigh & Ciarrah. Survived by his siblings Brenda(Tim), Iva (Vernon), Perley, Andrew (Loretta), Yvonne (Norm), Sharon (Roddy), Lynn (Edna Mae), Alley and the late Ivan. The family will receive friends at the WEAVER FAMILY FUNERAL HOME - East Chapel, 29 Bay St., Trenton on Monday from 12:00 to 1:30 pm with service to follow at 1:30 pm. Cremation to follow. Leonora Forsyth (nee Murray) Croft

CROFT, Leonora Forsyth (nee Murray) - passed away peacefully at the Belleville General Hospital on Wednesday June 17th, 2009 at the age of 77. Beloved wife of the late Gordon K. Croft. Loving mother of Margaret Hutchins of Minnesota, and Laurie Bury of Belleville (friend John Logue of Stirling). Much loved Nana of Jill Allen, Matthew Allen (Stephanie), and Meaghan Bury. Dear “Mimi” of Timothy Blank, and Kathryn Blank. Fondly remembered by Jasmyn “little bits”. Survived by brother-in- law George Tinwick of Windsor. Leonora was born in Bermuda, and was predeceased by her parents James and Winifred (nee Frith) Murray. A private interment will be held at the Niche Wall at Belleville Cemetery. Friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service at St Columba Presbyterian Church, Belleville on Monday June 22nd at 11:00 a.m. Donations to St Columba Presbyterian Church, or the Christian Children's Fund of Canada would be appreciated by the family. Gabrielle White

Sister Gabrielle White (Sister M. St. Richard) - It is with great sadness that The Sisters of St. Joseph of Sault Ste. Marie announce the death of Sister Gabrielle (Gaye) White at St. Joseph's Motherhouse, North Bay on June 16, 2009. Born in Cochrane, Ontario on November 4, 1936, Gaye entered The Sisters of St. Joseph of Sault Ste. Marie in September 1959. Sister Gaye ministered as a teacher and principal in Elliot Lake, North Bay, Sault Ste. Marie, Sudbury, Thunder Bay, Hawk Junction, Nipigon, White River and Espanola, Ontario as well as in Nassau, The Bahamas. Following retirement from teaching, communities in India, Espanola, and Florida were blessed with Sister Gaye's volunteer ministries. Relationship with God, family, community and friends were a vital part of Sister Gaye's life providing joy and meaning to her life and to all who knew her. Love of the outdoors and sports were a lifelong passion. Predeceased by her parents, George and Diomere (Tremblay), and her siblings Anthony, Dennis, and Priscilla, Sister Gaye is survived by her brothers Ernie (Joyce), and Donald (Linda) and many nieces and nephews. The body of Sister Gaye will be received at 2:00 p.m., on Thursday, June 18, in the Holy Family Chapel, St. Joseph's Motherhouse. A prayer vigil will be held at 7:00 p.m., Thursday evening. Funeral liturgy will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 19, 2009, in Sacred Heart Chapel, St. Joseph's Motherhouse, North Bay, Ontario. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, North Bay. May Sister Gaye rest in peace.

Ingrid Lempi Dobson

DOBSON, Ingrid Lempi - In loving memory of Ingrid Lempi Dobson (nee Holpainen), 82 years, who passed away Thursday, afternoon, June 18th, 2009 at the Extendicare Falconbridge, Sudbury. Beloved wife of the late Stan Dobson (predeceased 1986). Dear daughter of the late John Holpainen and the late Lempi Holpainen Maenpaa (Komppa). Predeceased by her Step-Dad Eino Maenpaa and step-son Stanley Dobson Jr. (wife Eydie). Always remembered by Eydie Dobson and family, David (Monica), Brent (LeeAnne), Bruce (Era) and Bryan (JoAnna) and great grandchildren Erin Lee, Erica Anne, Brenna Maureen, Owen Stanley and Ethan Ryszard. Predeceased by longtime devoted friend Peter Jaru. Fondly remembered by close friends Linda Dailey and Angie Zambelli of Sudbury and Olga Quesnelle of Mississauga. Ingrid treasured all friendships developed over the years. She was proud of her Canadian Finnish heritage. Born in Levack, residing in the Sudbury area throughout her lifetime. In earlier times, the camp on Lake Penage was a favourite summer place for Ingrid and her husband and family. Funeral Service in the LOUGHEED FUNERAL HOME, 252 Regent St., at Hazel St. Saturday, June 20th, 2009 at 11:30 a.m. Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium. Donations to Sudbury Regional Hospital Foundation would be appreciated. (Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Friday and after 10:30 a.m. Saturday).
