HUTZLER, John Henry - Peacefully at Extendicare Hamilton on Wednesday, June 17, 2009 in his 97th year. Predeceased by his wife Jessie Wilhelmina (Billie) in 1993. Dearly loved and missed by his sons Don (Elaine) and Michael (Rennie), daughter Teresa Clushman (Michael), grandchildren Kathy, Jeff, Jennifer, Kevin, Matteke, Kellen and Brynn and great-grandchildren Katie, Taylor, Brock and Burke. Predeceased by his brother Robert and wife Jean. John was a long time employee at Bertram's for 47 years. In his younger years, John volunteered as a firefighter and played baseball for Dundas teams and enjoyed bowling and reading. Friends will be received by the family on Sunday afternoon and evening from 2-4 and 7-9, at the CATTEL, EATON & CHAMBERS FUNERAL HOME, 53 Main Street, Dundas. Funeral Mass will take place at ST. HODGSON, Norman F. - passed away peacefully with family on Thursday June 18, 2009 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. A long time resident of Chatham and an active community member. Retired as Superintendent of Schools for the former Kent Board, Norm spent his latter days enjoying family, golf and volunteering. Loving mother of Margaret Hutchins of Minnesota, and Laurie Bury of Belleville (friend John Logue of Stirling). Much loved Nana of Jill Allen, Matthew Allen (Stephanie), and Meaghan Bury. Dear “Mimi” of Timothy Blank, and Kathryn Blank. Fondly remembered by Jasmyn “little bits”. Survived by brother-in- law George Tinwick of Windsor. Leonora was born in Bermuda, and was predeceased by her parents James and Winifred (nee Frith) Murray. A private interment will be held at the Niche Wall at Belleville Cemetery. Sister Gabrielle White (Sister M. St. Richard) - It is with great sadness that The Sisters of St. Joseph of Sault Ste. Marie announce the death of Sister Gabrielle (Gaye) White at St. Joseph's Motherhouse, North Bay on June 16, 2009. Born in Cochrane, Ontario on November 4, 1936, Gaye entered The Sisters of St. Joseph of Sault Ste. Marie in September 1959. Sister Gaye ministered as a teacher and principal in Elliot Lake, North Bay, Sault Ste. Marie, Sudbury, Thunder Bay, Hawk Junction, Nipigon, White River and Espanola, Ontario as well as in Nassau, The Bahamas. Following retirement from teaching, communities in India, Espanola, and Florida were blessed with Sister Gaye's volunteer ministries. Relationship with God, family, community and friends were a vital part of Sister Gaye's life providing joy and meaning to her life and to all who knew her. Love of the outdoors and sports were a lifelong passion. Predeceased by her parents, George and Diomere (Tremblay), and her siblings Anthony, Dennis, and Priscilla, Sister Gaye is survived by her brothers Ernie (Joyce), and Donald (Linda) and many nieces and nephews. The body of Sister Gaye will be received at 2:00 p.m., on Thursday, June 18, in the Holy Family Chapel, St. Joseph's Motherhouse. A prayer vigil will be held at 7:00 p.m., Thursday evening. Funeral liturgy will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 19, 2009, in Sacred Heart Chapel, St. Joseph's Motherhouse, North Bay, Ontario. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, North Bay. Beloved wife of the late Stan Dobson (predeceased 1986). Dear daughter of the late John Holpainen and the late Lempi Holpainen Maenpaa (Komppa). Predeceased by her Step-Dad Eino Maenpaa and step-son Stanley Dobson Jr. (wife Eydie). Always remembered by Eydie Dobson and family, David (Monica), Brent (LeeAnne), Bruce (Era) and Bryan (JoAnna) and great grandchildren Erin Lee, Erica Anne, Brenna Maureen, Owen Stanley and Ethan Ryszard. Ingrid treasured all friendships developed over the years. She was proud of her Canadian Finnish heritage. Born in Levack, residing in the Sudbury area throughout her lifetime. In earlier times, the camp on Lake Penage was a favourite summer place for Ingrid and her husband and family.
