FRENCH, Lois E. (Clackett) (nee Barclay) - A resident of Chatham and formerly of Dover Twp. Lois French passed away at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance- Chatham Campus on Thursday, June 18, 2009 at the age of 85. Born in Chatham daughter of the late Hiram and Sarah (Echlin) Barclay. Loving wife of the late Verdun F. Clackett (1993) and the late Edward M. French (1997). Dear mother to Bev and Karen Clackett of Grand Bend, Bonnie and Wayne O'Sullivan of Chatham. Step-mother to Barbara and Phil Thibodeau of Pointe Verte, New Brunswick. Grandmother to Debbie and Michael Meuwissen, Anette Cowan, Michael O'Sullivan, Sean O'Sullivan. Step- grandmother to Celeste Thibodeau, Shannon and Adam Bonnycastle, Sheila Thibodeau, Chantelle and Dr. Michael MacDonald. Predeceased by her brothers Ronald Barclay, Keith Barclay and Douglas Barclay. Lois was an active member of St. Paul's Congregational Church in Chatham as well as a member of the CCW at the church. She was a former member of the Maple City Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star and volunteered at the former Thamesview Lodge. Visiting at the Funeral Home 459 St. Clair St. Chatham on Friday from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. Family and friends are asked to gather on Saturday June 20, 2009 at St. Paul's Congregational Church, 450 Park Ave. W. from 12:30 p.m. until the Funeral Service at 1:30 p.m. Pastor Andrew Hawkins officiating. Interment to follow at Maple Leaf Cemetery, Chatham. James Reginald (Jim) Irwin
IRWIN, James Reginald (Jim) - on Thursday June 18th, 2009, at the Kingston General Hospital, after a long and gallant battle with heart disease, caused by rheumatic fever. Jim was born on April 21st, 1944 in Belleville. Beloved son of the late Gordon and Marjorie (nee Steenburgh) Irwin. Jim will be dearly missed by his loving daughters, Karen of Frankford, and Kathy (Kevin) of Trenton. Much loved Papa of Katelynn. Dear brother of Gord (Pat) Irwin of Grafton, Jack (Laurel) Irwin of Belleville, David (Demaris) Irwin of Crystal Beach, Cliff (Lynn) Irwin of Stirling, and Linda Baker (Fred Trautrimas) of Belleville. Jim will be sadly missed by his several nieces and nephews. Jim worked for Bell Canada, managed the Belleville Muntz Centre on Cannifton Road, and worked for Proctor & Gamble for many years. A special thanks to his nephew Ron Irwin who visited many times and was so kind, many good friends from Proctor & Gamble, Altair Electronics, and many others. Cremation has taken place. Following cremation, Jim will be interred with his late parents at the Belleville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario would be appreciated. Loving father of Heather Plumber of Cambridge, Mark Leybourne, Greg Leybourne (Tracy), Chris Leybourne and Glenn Leybourne (Oanh) all of Toronto. Dear brother of Theresa Lefebvre (John) of Dowling and Sharon Gallagher (Neil Barron) of Britt. Predeceased by his brothers George (late Joan) and Francis. ULLMER, Helga (nee Zumbro) - passed away with her loving daughter by her side on Sunday, June 21st, 2009 at Heidehof Home for the Aged at the age of 91. Beloved wife of the late William. Cherished mother of Doris (Witold) Felsch. Loving grandmother of Joe (Sylvia Clubb) and Cindy (Phil) Downey. Special Omi of Seth, Brooke, Kathleen, Lauren and Shannon. She will be missed by John Ullmer, Muriel Ullmer, Steve and Irma Fung and Elvira and Len Wallace. Helga is resting at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street. WILSON, Judy A. - Peacefully at St. Mary's of the Lake on Wednesday, June 24, 2009 in her 66th year. Beloved daughter of Paul McKegney. Predeceased by her mother Mary with whom Judy is now embracing.
