Hazel Grierson

GRIERSON, Hazel - At the Kingston General Hospital on June 22, 2009, Hazel Ann (Tyers) Grierson in her 64th year. Devoted and loving wife to James Grierson and cherished mother of Daniel James (Kim), Mark Douglas and Matthew Grierson (Tanya). Also survived by her five grandchildren Jacob, Hayden, Devon, Devyn and Kassandra. Dear sister of Olive Tyers, Sharon Brightman, Bill, Ken, Stan, Carl and Marvin Tyers. Predeceased by brothers Joseph and Harvey. Private cremation has taken place at the Roselawn Crematorium, Maitland. A memorial party in celebration of Hazel's life will be held at the Mallorytown Legion on Saturday, June 27, at 1 o'clock. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Red Cross Homemakers or the Brockville Shrine Club will be gratefully acknowledged. Arrangements entrusted to IRVINE FUNERAL HOME, 4 James St., E., Brockville.

Blake Schneider

SCHNEIDER, Blake - at the Greater Niagara General Hospital on Tuesday June 23rd, 2009. Peter (Beverly), Beatrice, Elizabeth (Bob), Keith, Allen and Beverly (George). Predeceased by his parents Edward and Florence. Friends may call at THE WILLIAMS FUNERAL HOME 722 Ridge Road North, Ridgeway from 2-4 and 7-9 Friday. Funeral services in the chapel on Saturday morning at 11 o'clock. Memorial donations would be appreciated to the charity of one's choice.

Kevin Jodouin

JODOUIN, Kevin - passed away Monday, June 22, 2009 at North Bay General Hospital, Scollard Site, due to a long term illness. Loving son of the late Marina and Albert Jodouin and step-son of Kievin Mathieu. He will also be sadly missed by his loving children, Jeremy and Kyleea Jodouin and their mother, Val Spivey. He was the dear brother of Judy and Barry Jodouin; dearly remembered by his nieces Trisha, Skyler and Dakota and his many, many friends and family. Kevin was an active member of the North Bay Community. He gave timeless hours volunteering with the North Bay Heritage Festival, D.I.A., Big Brothers, Diabetes Association, and the Trappers. He was passionate about music and heavily involved in the music community. He worked for many years in mortgages and business. However, his greatest love was for his two young children and his family. Visitation at McGUINTY FUNERAL HOME, Friday from 7 to 9 pm. Funeral service will be held at the McGuinty Funeral Home Chapel, Saturday at 2 pm. Cremation at Forest Lawn Cematorium. In lieu of flowers, donations to a trust fund for Kevin's children would be greatly appreciated by the family.

Robert Laferriere (brooks)

LAFERRIERE (Brooks), Robert - passed away at North Bay General Hospital, Scollard Site, Saturday, June 20, 2009. Robert Laferriere loved fiancee of Ellen Murray and former husband of Debbie Hampel in his 52nd year. Dearly loved father of Lindsay Laferriere. Loved son of Annette Brooks and 'dad' Paul Brooks. Dear brother of Paul Brooks, Allen Brooks (Helen) and Joyce Cliche (Gary). Robert was a member of North Bay Golf Club and very active in sports and his community. Lovingly remembered by his many nieces and nephews. Family receiving friends at the McGUINTY FUNERAL HOME, Wednesday 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 p.m. Funeral service will be conducted in the McGuinty Funeral Home Chapel, Thursday at 11:00 a.m. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Heart & Stroke Fund would be gratefully appreciated by the family.

LEVAC, Germaine (née Perreault) - 1932-2009 La famille Levac a le regret d'annoncer son décès, survenu à l'hpital Régional de Sudbury, emplacement St. Joseph, le lundi 22 juin 2009, a l'âge de 77 ans. Fille de feu Gaspard et de feu Délicia (née Savignac) Perreault. Épouse bien- aimée depuis 55 ans d'Ernest Levac de Sturgeon Falls. Mère de Jacques (Claudette) de Huntsville, Marc (Diane) de Sudbury et Réjean (Shannon) d'Edmonton. Grand maman de Mélanie, Gilles, Nicole, Danielle, Eric, Justin et James. Arrière- grand-mère d'Alex et de Seanna. Lui survivent également ses frères Maurice (Ginette) de Montréal, Vital (Laurence) de Sturgeon Falls, ses soeurs Simone Valade (feu Johnny) de Sturgeon Falls et Solange Perreault de Sudbury. Prédécédée par ses frères Roger (Rose de Sturgeon Falls), Rhéal (Evelyne de Windsor), Léonard (Denise de Chelmsford), René (Cécile de Montréal) et par sa soeur Thérèse Lavergne (Aldebert de Sturgeon Falls). Germaine était une enseignante et directrice d'école dans la région de Sudbury pendant de nombreuses années, entre-autres à l'école Nolin, Sudbury et l'école St. Marc, Markstay. Dans ses moments de loisirs, elle aimait jouer au bridge et pratiquer la danse en ligne. La famille Levac recevra parents et amis au SALON FUNÉRAIRE THÉORET BOURGEOIS, 119 rue King, Sturgeon Falls, le jeudi 25 juin de 14h-16h et de 19h-21h. La messe funéraire sera célébrée le vendredi 26 juin 2009 à 11h dans l'église Sacré Coeur, Sturgeon Falls.

HUNTER, Charles Alexander - It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden but peaceful passing of a wonderful, devoted and caring husband, father and grandfather Charles Alexander Hunter on Monday, June 22, 2009 at the age of 69. Loving husband and best friend of Marjorie (Ward)(Armitage). Devoted dad of Lea Ann McQueen & her husband Scott, Sarnia, Dawn Chafe & her husband Rob, Sarnia and Vikki McKinlay & her husband Chris, Counna. Best grandpa to Kyle, Kirstie, Sarah, Amanda, Nicholas, Connor and Molly. Grandpa also loved his pals Kramer, Karley and Stella. Brother-in-law of Irene Hunter, Myrtle Beach, Kathleen & Peter Glaab, Sarnia, Virginia McGill, Sarnia, Don & Ann Ward, Seattle, and Harvey & Helen Blais, Sarnia. Also surviving are several nieces & nephews. Predeceased by his parents Vilma & Archie Hunter, brothers Warren & Bill Hunter, mother & father-in-law Joe & Agnes Ward, brothers-in-law Lorne McGill and Bruce Johnson and sisters-in-law Marilyn Johnson & Marilyn Hunter. Charlie was a member of Br. 62 Royal Canadian Legion. Visitation will be held at the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 431 N. Christina St., Sarnia on Thursday from 12 noon until 1:45 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the McKenzie & Blundy Chapel Thursday at 2 p.m. officiated by Fr. Terence Runstedler. Interment Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery. MacINTYRE, Douglas - Peacefully at the Winchester District Memorial Hospital on Tuesday June 23, 2009 age 87 years. Douglas Marshall MacIntyre of Finch. Beloved husband of the late Audrey MacIntyre nee- Cameron. Loved father of Ronald MacIntyre of Kanata, Earl MacIntyre (Donna) of Finch and Allan MacIntyre of Orleans. Dear brother of Mary Tufford of Toronto. Sadly missed by his grandchildren Jason MacIntyre (Tracy), Jennifer Atchison (Kelly) and his great grandchildren Dillan, Devin and Sarah. Predeceased by his parents Alexander 'Sandy' and Jessie (Pritchard) MacIntyre. Visitation will be held at the BROWNLEE FUNERAL HOME 18 Front Street, Finch on Thursday from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. [A service in celebration of Douglas MacIntyre's life will be held at the funeral home on Friday June 26, 2009 at 11:00 am]. Interment to follow at the Finch Community Cemetery.
