ANGUS, Theresa - A the Cornwall Community Hospital, McConnell Site, on Monday, June 22, 2009. Theresa Angus (Baird) (Famous Basket Maker) of 171 Wade Lafrance Memorial Road, Akwesasne; age 68 years. Wife by a previous marriage of Albert Baird. Dear mother of Anthony Baird of Connecticut. Predeceased by two sons, Steven and Raymond Butterfield. Loving grandmother of Brett, Alesha and Jimmy. Dear daughter of the late Frank Angus and the late Josephine (Lazore) Angus. Dear sister of Paul (Wilma) and Jack both of Snye, Anne (Bob) of Millers Falls, Massachusetts, Elvera (Richard) of Fort Covington, NY, Frankie (Tina), Timothy (Treasa), Jeff (Sheri), Cyndi (Randy) Debbie and Ms. Michelle Villeneuve all of Malone NY. Predeceased by Rick (husband of Ellen), Jackie and Peter. Resting at Kateri Hall, Hogansburg, NY from 7 p.m. Tuesday. Funeral Thursday, June 25, 2009 for Mass of Christian Burial in St. Regis Church at 2:30 p.m. followed by cremation. William Edward Langford Morgan

MORGAN, William Edward Langford - Aged 98 years. passed away peacefully at Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Tuesday June 23, 2009 with her family present. Langford retired from Union Gas Co., Port Alma in 1975. He enjoyed Horse races, Car races and was always ready to play a game of cards. Beloved husband of Jean (Tweddle). Predeceased by his first wife Enid (McApine) 1937. Dear father of Elda (Jim) Walsh, of Ailsa Craig, Linda (Dale) Bowers of Port Alma, predeceased by his daughter Karen, 1987. Dear Grandpa of Jim Jr. (Kerri) Walsh, Donna (Bill) Simpson, Kim (Brent) Drew, Angela Bowers, and Kevin (Karen) Bowers. Dear great grandfather of Melissa Simpson (Andy Oomen), Brandon Drew, and Damien Drew. Predeceased by his brothers Arnold 1956, and Earle 1981, and Clarence 2004. Friends will be received at the SECORD & SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 8 Aberdeen Street, Merlin Tel: 519- 689-4261 on Thursday June 25, 11:00 a.m. till time of funeral service at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Lloyd Brown officiating. Burial in the Shanks Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society C-K Unit.

Jerry Geracimos Zaras

ZARAS, Jerry Geracimos - On Sunday, June 21st, 2009 at his home in Brockville at the age of 43 years. Beloved son of Serge and Angeline (Spiliotopoulos) Zaras of Brockville. Dear brother of John and cousin of Denise both of Montreal. Also survived by his aunt Katy and by several cousins. Predeceased by grandparents, John and Diana Spiliotopoulos, and Jerry and Barbara Zaras. Family and friends may pay their respects at the IRVINE FUNERAL HOME and CHAPEL, 4 James Street East, Brockville on Friday, June 26th from 10:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the Hellenic Community Orthodox Church on Friday at 1:00 p.m. Interment to follow at St. Francis Xavier Cemetery. In remembrance, donations to the Hellenic Community Orthodox Church will be gratefully acknowledged.

Hazel Grierson

GRIERSON, Hazel - At the Kingston General Hospital on June 22, 2009. Hazel Ann Tyers Grierson in her 64th year. Devoted and loving wife to James Grierson, and cherished mother of Daniel James (Kim), Mark Douglas and Matthew Grierson (Tanya). Also survived by her five grandchildren Jacob, Hayden, Devon, Devyn and Kassandra. Dear sister of Olive Tyers, Sharon Brightman, Bill, Ken, Stan, Carl and Marvin Tyers. Predeceased by brothers Joseph and Harvey. Private arrangements are entrusted with the IRVINE FUNERAL HOME and CHAPEL, 4 James Street East Brockville. Cremation will take place at Roselawn Crematorium, Maitland. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Red Cross Homemakers or the Brockville Shrine Club will be gratefully acknowledged. A memorial party in celebration of Hazel's life will be held at the Mallorytown Legion on Saturday June 27, at 1 o'clock.

Winnifred Joan Matthews (blancher)

MATTHEWS (Blancher), Winnifred Joan - At the London University Hospital on Monday, June 22, 2009 in her 73rd year; ex-wife and friend of Les Blancher; cherished mother of Leslie(Mary), Robert, Terry (Sue), Raymond (Maria), and Sharon Thompson (Ed). Survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren and brother Harold Matthews, and many family & friends. Pre- deceased by parents Stanley & Alice Matthews, step-mother Connie, brothers Carl and Allan, and sister Mary Sullivan. The family will receive friends at the “THORPE BROTHERS' FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL“, 96 West Street, on Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. A Funeral Service will be held in the chapel on Friday, June 26, 2009 at 1 PM followed by cremation. In memory of Winnifred, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the S.P.C.A. GUTHRIE, Margaret Jean (nee Nash) - Peacefully and with grace, at Brantford General Hospital, on Monday June 22, 2009, a longtime resident of Paris, in her 91st year. Margaret was blessed to remain in her own home until her recent illness; she was a longtime member of Paris Presbyterian Church. Beloved wife to the late William; loved step-mother to Muriel Ireland (George) of London, Mary Williams (Gary) of Ayr, and Noreen Jones (Bob) of Drumbo; cherished grandma to Susan, Robert, Colleen, William, Kim, Christine, Craig, and Jeff; dear aunt to David Lee (Linda), Jim Lee (Cheryl), Margaret Playle (David), Cathy Dunk (Bruce), Edith MacNinch (Larry), Walter Nash (Sandy), Donald Nash (Marilyn), Tom Nash (the late Sandy) and their respective families. Predeceased by her stepdaughter Carol, her sister Dorothy Lee (George), her brother Edgar Nash (Edith) and her parents Walter Nash and the former Charlotte Hicks. Friends may call at the WM. KIPP FUNERAL HOME, 184 Grand River St. N. Paris, on Thursday June 25, 2009, from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. Funeral Services to be held at Paris Presbyterian Church, 164 Grand River St. N. FRINDIK, Joseph - At the Brantford General Hospital on Monday, June 22, 2009 in his 73rd year, Joseph Frindik, beloved husband of Helen Frindik. Loving father of Andrea Carman and her husband Jamie. Dear brother of Margaret Vajda, Veronica Dobrai and the late Miklos, Peter and John Frindik. Joseph Frindik was a retired employee of J.I Case. GIBSON, Linda Veronica - passed away suddenly at her residence on Sunday June 21, 2009 at the age of 57. Beloved wife of the late Sheldon “Gibby“ Gibson (2006). Dearly loved mother of Jamie (Leah) Gibson. Dear sister of Ann (the late Clinton) Snider, Denise (the late Rick) Snider, Joe (Lee) Routhier and Bob (Joanne) Routhier. Sadly missed by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Albert and Catharine Routhier. Linda had worked as a waitress at Betty's Restaurant for 40 years where she will be missed by her friends and co-workers. Cremation has taken place. Friends are invited to call at the PATTERSON FUNERAL HOME, 6062 Main St. visiting Thursday 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. A private graveside service will follow at Fairview Cemetery. In memory of Linda donations to her favourite charity, the Cancer Society would be appreciated by her family.
