Job 10:12 - Gone to be with his Lord and Saviour, Hugh Alexander Lynn, of Owen Sound, passed away peacefully at the Grey Bruce Health Services in Owen Sound, on Monday morning, January 24th, 2005. He was in his 89th year. Dearly beloved husband for 61 years of the late Edith May Lynn (nee Parker), who predeceased him in 1998. Dear father of one son, Hugh Merrit "Mike" Lynn & his wife, Estelle, of Sarnia, and one step-daughter, Margaret Patterson, of Kitchener. Proud grandfather of five grandchildren, Kelly Lynn, Kerri Lynn & her fiance, Kevin Tilson, Tom Patterson & his wife, Susan, Paul Patterson & his wife, Jay and Jennifer Lauzon & her husband, Vince. Also survived by seven great-grandchildren, Ibrahim, Noah, Erin, Jeffrey, Dan, Meagan and Jordan, and three great-great-grandchildren, Keenan, Lily and Bronwyn. Hugh will be sadly missed by one sister, Dorothy Hilsden & her husband, Al, of St. Catharines, and one brother, Rev. Jack Lynn & his wife, Edna, of Kelowna, B.C. Predeceased by his parents, W.J. & Margaret Lynn, his three brothers, Harvey, George & Bill and his one sister, Marion MacGillivray. Hugh was a friend to all who knew him. He was a family man through and through. His first passion was his Father in Heaven and the Lord Jesus Christ. His earthly passions were fishing, golf, gardening and oil painting. Hugh was employed by the Circle Bar Knitting Company prior to W.W.II. He was a veteran with the R.C.A.F 405 Bomber Squadron. After the war, he returned to the Circle Bar for a number of years. He was then employed by the Owen Sound P.U.C. for 24 years, retiring in 1982. Hugh was a long time member of the Rockcliffe Gospel Temple. Friends may call at the BRIAN E.
