Fox, John,
Died: November 12, 2004

Peacefully, surrounded by his family, at Grey Bruce Health Services in Owen Sound, on Friday, November 12th, 2004. John Thomas Fox, of Owen Sound, in his 59th year. Beloved husband of Barbara Fox (nee Bishop). Loving father of Ian Fox, of Guelph, Sarah Cook & her husband, Wayne, Blair Fox & his friend, Sarah Dacey and Amy McConachie & her husband, Mark, all of Owen Sound. Loving 'papa' of Taylor & Ben McConachie and Nate & Noelle Cook. Predeceased by an infant brother, Harold Fox. John was a professional musician who lived his life in the service of the community. Beginning at the age of 13, he was a baritone soloist, piano and voice teacher, accompanist and choral conductor. With Isobel Dennison, John founded and directed the Goldenaires of Meaford. He served as an organist and choir director for several churches in Toronto, Owen Sound and Meaford including Christ Church Anglican in Meaford, St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church and Knox United Church in Owen Sound. As a Group Home Supervisor at Community Living in Owen Sound, he fostered a spirit of family amongst his clients. He had a heart as big as the whole community he so generously served. John Fox was known internationally as a breeder of lop-eared rabbits, Great Pyrennees dogs, sheep and goats for which he received several awards and national championships. He was a superb chef and gardener and delighed in sharing the bounty of his garden and kitchen with others. Friends may call at the BRIAN E. WOOD FUNERAL HOME, 250 - 14th Street West, Owen Sound, (376-7492) on Tuesday rom 2:00 - 4:00 and 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass for John Fox will be held on Wednesday, November 17th, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. at Knox United Church, 890 - 4th Avenue East, Owen Sound with Father Mark Gazin and Rev. Bob Giuliano officiating. A Vigil Service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday evening at 8:30 p.m. Interment St. Mary's Cemetery, Owen Sound. If so desired, the family would appreciate donations to the Knox United Church Organ Fund as your expression of sympathy.

Christie, Margaret,
Died: November 12, 2004

Peacefully, at Kelso Villa in Owen Sound, on Friday, November 12th, 2004. Margaret Lavina Christie (nee Harvey) of Owen Sound, in her 85th year. Beloved wife of the late John Kennedy Christie. Dear mother Lynne Stott and her husband, Paul, of Toronto, Jane Patterson and her husband, Paul, of Waterloo and Bill Christie and his wife, Sheila, of Owen Sound. Proud grandmother of Christie Henderson (Kirk Biggar), Sarah Henderson, Graeme Henderson, Jeff Patterson, Dan Patterson and Adam Christie. Loving great-grandmother of Charlie and Finlay Biggar. Margaret will be sadly missed by her two brothers, Howard and Don Harvey, and her sister, Beryl Cole, all of Manitoba. Predeceased by her husband, Ken (1990) and her daughter, Tiffany Bonnie Karen Henderson (1991). Friends may call at the BRIAN E. Danard, Jean,
Died: June 27, 2004

Peacefully, at Central Place, in Owen Sound, on Sunday, June 27th, 2004. Jean Bernice Danard (nee Sargeant), of Owen Sound, in her 91st year. Loved wife of the late Gordon Danard. Loving Mother of Harold & his wife, Mary, of Owen Sound, Kenneth & his wife, Margaret, of Waterloo, Elwyn & his wife, Donna, Bernice & the late Glenn McArthur and Lorraine Wright & her friend, Bob Campbell, all of Owen Sound. Special "Mom" to Donna Lynn Stewart, and Darlene Skinner & her friend, Bruce Wardrop, both of Owen Sound. Proud Grandma of seventeen grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Predeceased by one son, Clifford, and infant daughter, Frances, five sisters, Alfretta Henderson, Ruth Henderson, Vera Jones, Helen Kirk, Dorothy Robertson and two brothers, George & Albert Sargeant. David Shearman officiating. There will be special music by great-grandson, Mark Stewart. Interment in Greenwood Cemetery, Owen Sound. Ringel, Frederick,
Died: June 25, 2004

Peacefully, after a short battle with leukemia, at the Grey Bruce Health Services, in Owen Sound, on Friday, June 25th, 2004. Frederick Charles Ringel, of Owen Sound, in his 66th year. Loved husband for 44 years to Shirley Ringel (nee Steffler). Son of the late Henry & Ida Ringel. Loved father of Laurie & her husband, Mike McMillen, Rick & his wife, Sandra, and Scott & his wife, Jaime. Proud grandpa of Brooke, Tessa, Kaden, Sheldon and Chris. Fred is also survived by four brothers, Stan & Marie Ringel, Ray & Leone Ringel, Delbert & Doreen Ringel, Hud & Marilyn Ringel; and three sisters, Fay Brake, Marline & Don Smith and Eileen & Dwayne Lougheed. Predeceased by his brother, Williard Ringel. Fred will be sadly missed by his mother-in-law, Edith Steffler and many sisters and brother-in-laws. At Fred's request, there will be no visitation or service. Cremation with interment of ashes in Greenwood Cemetery. McLean, Harvey,
Died: June 23, 2004

Peacefully, at the Grey Bruce Health Services, in Owen Sound, on Wednesday, June 23rd, 2004. Harvey William McLean, of Owen Sound, at the age of 73 years. Loved husband for 49 years to Joyce McLean (nee Nicholson). Son of the late John & Gladys McLean. Loving father of Julia & her husband, Tom Ramage, of Owen Sound, Jeff & his wife, Michelle, of Balmy Beach, Cheryl & her husband, Russell Cunningham, of Sullivan Township, Patricia & her husband, Dave Munro and Chris & his wife, Kristi, all of Owen Sound. Special grandpa and poppa to Matt, Kristen, Kurt, Graham, Morgan, Amy, Annette, Alana, Rosie, Victoria, Alex & Avery. Harvey is also survived by five great grandchildren; three sisters, Ruth L. Clark, of Owen Sound, Linda McLean, of Waterloo, Lorna Oatt, of British Columbia and one brother, Jack McLean, of Amhertstburg. Peacefully, at the Grey Bruce Health Services, in Owen Sound, on Saturday, June 12th, 2004. Robert Clyde Lobban, of R.R. #3, Owen Sound, in his 87th year. Clyde was a World War II Veteran & member of the R.C.A.F. Loved husband for 60 years of Mary Lobban (nee Pretty). Dear father of Lois Lobban & her partner, David Farley, of R.R. #2, Meaford, Don Lobban & his wife, Glenda, and Bruce Lobban, both of R.R. #3, Owen Sound.
