Died: April 26, 2004

Peacefully, at McMaster University Medical Centre, Hamilton, on Monday, April 26th, 2004. Eleanor Shea (nee Irving), of Owen Sound, in her 89th year. Wife of the late Frank Shea Sr. (1954). Daughter of the late John Edward and Alice Ann Irving. Loving mother of Karen Duggan & her husband, Don, Paddy Hillyer & her husband, Tim, both of Owen Sound and Frank Shea Jr. of Thamesville. Loving grandmother of Steve Duggan, Shelley & Nino Apostoli, Krista & Mike Ballis, Maria & Colin Barley, Sarah Duggan, Carolyn & Scott Mack, Luke, Andy, Elizabeth and Katherine Hillyer. Devoted 'GiGi' to Alyssa, Daniel, Michael, Rachel, Erica and Allison. Devoted aunt to her many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her infant daughter, Alanna, her sister, Gladys Fairley and her brother, Ed Irving. Friends may call at the BRIAN E. WOOD FUNERAL HOME, 250 - 14th Street West, Owen Sound (376-7492), on Thursday from 2:00 - 4:00 and 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass for Eleanor Shea will be held at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, 554 - 15th Street East, Owen Sound, on Friday, April 30th, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. with Father Paul Walsh officiating. Cremation to follow with interment of ashes in Mount Hope Cemetery, Toronto. A Vigil Service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday evening at 8:30 p.m. If so desired, the family would appreciate donations to Breast Cancer Research or the Grey Bruce Health Services, MRI Foundation as your expression of sympathy.

At Summit Place in Owen Sound, on Friday evening, April 2nd, 2004. Alvin John McCutcheon, of Owen Sound, in his 73rd year. Beloved husband of Maribelle McCutcheon (nee Shields). Dear father of Doug & Louise, of Milton, Paul, Bruce & Becky, Rob & his wife, Robyn, all of Owen Sound, and Sheila & her husband, Patrick Holder, of Barrie. Dear grandfather of April, Justin, Jesse, Barrett, Brodie, Jared, Joshua, Jade and Quinton. Alvin will be sadly missed by his sister, Margaret & her husband, John Tirpkoff, of Thornbury. Dear father of Jim Leslie & his wife, Jane, of Owen Sound, Ross Leslie & his wife, Nancy, of London, Margaret Miller & her husband, Lee, and Ruth McMeekin & her husband, Paul, both of Owen Sound. Sadly missed grandfather of Ryan & his wife, Ami, Sarah, Megan, Emily, James, Ashley, Nicola, Taylor and Rory. Dear brother of Jean Bishop, of Owen Sound. Friends may call at the BRIAN E. Dr. Donald Cheetham
Friday, October 19, 1917 - Wednesday, April 01, 2009

Dr. Donald Ashenhurst Cheetham passed away peacefully at John Joseph Place in Owen Sound, on Wednesday, April 1st, 2009 at the age of 91 years. Dr. Cheetham had been a dentist in Owen Sound since the mid 1940’s.
Don was born in Toronto and grew up on Lee Avenue in the Beaches area. He attended Malvern Collegiate Institute and then the University of Toronto from which he graduated as a Doctor of Dental Surgery in 1942. Before graduation, Don had enrolled in the Canadian Army. He was a member of the Royal Hamilton Light Infantry and saw active service as a dentist in Canada, England, The Netherlands, Belgium and Germany from 1942 – 45.
Don dedicated himself to public service. He was president of his graduating class at the U. of T. He was active in the Red Cross, the Lion’s Club, the hospital and other organizations in Owen Sound. He was the representative for Grey-Bruce to the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario from 1967 – 1976. In 2000, the Faculty of Dentistry at the U. of T. honoured him as a Distinguished Alumnus.
Don met Enid MacKenzie in high school. They were married in Toronto in 1942 and moved to Owen Sound just after W.W.II. Enid died in 2008. They had been married for almost 66 years. Don is survived by their only child, Mark and his wife Elizabeth Harvey and their children, Nicholas and Anthea. Don will be interred next to Enid in Orono Cemetery, Orono, Ontario. Donations in Don’s memory may go to the Community Foundation Grey-Bruce and may be made through the BRIAN E. WOOD FUNERAL HOME, 250 – 14th Street West, Owen Sound N4K – 3X8 (519-376-7492).

Mrs. Barbara "Barb" Bolton

Suddenly at the Grey Bruce Health Services in Owen Sound, on Sunday, April 5th, 2009. Barbara Luella “Barb” Bolton (nee Rolls), of R. R. # 2, Annan, in her 58th year. Beloved wife of the late Richard Bolton. Loving mother of Jeffrey Rolls and his partner, Ann-Marie Geertsma, of Chesley, Darrell & Kim Bolton and Shane Bolton and his wife, Angela, both of Owen Sound . Dear daughter of Rosaline Rolls, of Sarnia and the late Stuart Rolls. Proud grandmother of Myles, Kyra-Lane, Austin, Kayla, Richard, Emily, Stewart and Stephanie. Barb will be missed by her siblings, Alva Whitter, of British Columbia, Howard Rolls, of Sarnia, John Rolls, of Stratford, Susan (Mark) Downey, of Sarnia and Randy (Linda) Rolls, of Halifax. Surrounded by his family’s love, at the London Health Services, on Friday April 3rd, 2009. Theo’s work on earth was done and he was welcomed into his father’s open arms. Theodore Ostrom of Owen Sound in his 59th year. Beloved husband of Melanie Ostrom (nee Middleton). Loving brother of Kathie Martin, Linda Taves, Brenda Schickler and her husband Allan, Anastasia Barbour and her husband James, Heather Lauzon, Newella Ostrom and her fiancé Terry Schmidt and Steve Ostrom and his fiancé Ruby Bruno. Dear brother-in-law of Bill Middleton and his wife Tammy, and Mark Middleton. Son-in-law of Sharon Middleton. Theo will be missed by many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Dearly beloved husband of the late Evelyn Millman (nee Gray).
