Ken Warren

WARREN, Ken - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ken Warren on the 23rd of May, 2009. Beloved husband of Denise, loving and devoted father of Monique and husband Paul of Whitby, Blake of Calgary and Patrick and wife Suzanne of Tottingham. Proud Poppa of Stephanie, Luke, Kendra, Annette, Chantal and Elise and great-grandfather to Matthew and Ryan. Survived by brother Jack and sister Nancy in Sudbury. Visitation prayer service will be held at Mount Lawn Memorial Gardens in Whitby on Tuesday May 26th from 3:00 to 8:00pm. Memorial Mass and Internment will be followed at a later date in Sudbury. He was a brave and valiant man who cared deeply for his family and friends and will be greatly missed.

Margaret Wereley

Margaret Wereley (née Lapierre) at the Elizabeth Bruyère in Ottawa on July 18, 2013. Margaret Wereley of Limoges (formerly Lancaster); age 81 years. Loving mother of Elaine (Pierre) Tessier of Limoges. Cherished grandmother of Joshua Tessier of Ottawa. Predeceased by her husband Clarence Wereley and her son David. Dear sister of Pauline Brisson (late Rene) of Michigan, Jacques Lapierre (late Jeannine) of Lancaster, George Lapierre (Christina) of Summerstown, Jean-Guy Lapierre (Judy) of Ingleside, and Pierrette MacDonald (Ken) of Cornwall. Predeceased by her brothers Maurice Lapierre (Madeleine of Lancaster) and Edmour Lapierre. Dear daughter of the late Dan and Cécile Lapierre (née Leroux). Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Friend of Claude Lalonde (Lancaster). Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of the Munro & Morris Funeral Homes Ltd., 46 Oak Street, Lancaster 613-347-3629. In keeping with Margaret’s wishes no visitation will be held, cremation has taken place and a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Lancaster on Wednesday, July 24, 2013 at 11:00 am followed by burial in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy Memorial Donations to the Kidney Foundation or the Elizabeth Bruyere Palliative care unit would be appreciated by the family.

Arlene Celine Stratton

STRATTON, Arlene Celine - Suddenly at University Hospital in London on Monday, May 18, 2009. Arlene Stratton of Wiarton at the age of 16. Beloved daughter of Danielle Stratton (nee Le Gourrierec) of Wiarton and Lee Stratton. Sadly missed by three brothers Jesse Spears and Justin Le Gourrierec both of Owen Sound and Jamie Lee Stratton of Wiarton. Dear granddaughter of Sunday Roberts and Andrew Le Gourrierec and Clayton Stratton and Norma Gillingham. Aunt of Lily Spears, niece of Tammy Spears and her husband Larry and their girls Amanda and her husband Scott, and Kara, Sarah and Melissa Spears and niece of Amy Tuck and her husband Colin and their daughter Colleen. Also survived by many cousins and friends. Friends are invited to the TANNAHILL FUNERAL HOME for visiting on Friday from 11 o'clock until service time. The funeral service will be conducted in the chapel on Friday afternoon at 1 o'clock with Ken Holley officiating. Memorial donations to Victim Services would be appreciated.

Diane Linda Larabie

LARABIE, Diane Linda - In loving memory of Diane Linda Larabie, 47 years, of Sudbury, who passed away Sunday, May 17th, 2009 at the Maison Vale INCO Hospice, Sudbury. A well respected and loved life resident of Sudbury, Diane was a skilled and gifted kitchen designer. Beyond the workplace, Diane generously shared her talents and creativity with the Canadian Hearing Society. She designed and decorated the homes for their very successful home lotteries. Recently she had received a provincial award from the Hearing Society for her efforts. She was also an accomplished quilter. She enjoyed quilting with Anja having produced beautiful quilts that raised significant funds for cancer agencies. Diane will also be remembered for her inspired worth ethic and love of life. Even during her illness her light encouraged and empowered all she met. The focus of her life was her loving family. She was happiest spending quality time with them and now she will be their guardian angel in Heaven. Beloved wife, soulmate and best friend of Dany Maltais. Loving mother of Joel Hamelin, Tania Belanger (Daniel) and Angelique Maltais. Cherished grandmother of Olivia, Danika and Jenevieve. Loving daughter of Homer Larabie (Lucille) and Calleen Caverly (Bill Crack). Dear sister of Carol Anne Larabie predeceased, Richard Larabie and Daniel Larabie (Lise). Special aunt of Michael and Alain. Sadly missed by canine buddy Nichi. Memorial Visitation at the LOUGHEED FUNERAL HOME, 252 Regent St. at Hazel St. Memorial Mass in Holy Redeemer Church, 1887 Bancroft Dr. Sudbury, Thursday, May 21st, 2009 at 11 a.m. Cremation with entombment in the Civic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Maison Vale INCO Hospice would be appreciated. (Friends may call 2 - 5 and 7 - 9 p.m. Wednesday only).

Marsha Keeling

KEELING, Marsha - Peacefully at Participation Lodge, R. R. #1, Holland Centre, on Friday morning, May 15th, 2009. Marsha Diane Keeling, of R. R. #l, Holland Centre, in her 32nd year. Dearly beloved daughter of Diane Keeling and Donald Keeling, both of Owen Sound. Loving sister of Michael Keeling and his wife, Kristina, of Collingwood and Melissa Keeling and her fiancé, Andrew Kivell, of Shallow Lake. Marsha will be sadly missed by her grandparents, Russell and Kathleen Feltis, of Owen Sound and Stewart and Helen Keeling, of Chatsworth and her four nephews, Anderson, Ashton, Ayden and Austin. The family would sincerely like to thank the staff at Participation Lodge for taking such good care of Marsha. A Funeral Service for Marsha Keeling will be held in the chapel of the BRIAN E. WOOD FUNERAL HOME, 250 – 14th Street West, Owen Sound, Ontario N4K – 3X8 (519-376- 7492) on Tuesday afternoon, May 19th, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. with Dr. Brad Clark officiating. Dear father of Eric Vaillancourt of Ottawa and Jennifer Vaillancourt Menard of Cornwall. Dear son of the late Rosaire W. Vaillancourt and the late Claire (Archambault) Vaillancourt. Dear brother of Michel Vaillancourt (Lucie) of Charlesbourg, QC, Diane Labelle (Denis) of Blainville, QC and Sylvie Vaillancourt (Donald Perron) of Rouyn-Noranda, QC. Resting at LAHAIE & SULLIVAN CORNWALL FUNERAL HOMES, East Branch, 614 First Street East (613-933- 2841) from 7 p.m. Friday. Funeral Saturday, May 16, 2009 for Service in the Memorial Chapel of the Funeral Home at 1 p.m. followed by cremation. Loving father of Patrick and Sebastien. Cherished son of Michel and Juliette (nee Aubin) Robert of Capreol. Dear brother of Stephen (Lori) and uncle of Jessica and Kayla all of Capreol. Sadly missed by his mother-in-law Valerie Read (Richard), his brother-in-law Chris Read both of Capreol and his sister-in-law Tina Poitras (Donald Gauthier) of Val Caron. Also survived by many aunts, uncles, relatives and friends. Daniel always put his family first and truly loved his dog Star. He was an outdoorsman enjoyed quading, skidooing, hunting and fishing. Memorial visitation at the LOUGHEED FUNERAL HOME, Hanmer/Capreol Chapel, 4605 Michelle Dr., (at Hwy 69N), Hanmer. Memorial Mass to be held at Our Lady of Peace Church, Capreol on Saturday May 16, 2009 at 1:30 p.m. Cremation at Park Lawn Crematorium. Dear brother of John Gallinger (Verla) of Ingleside, Eleanor Zeran (Bert) of Finch and Ralph Gallinger (Rita) of Grand Prairie, Alberta. Sadly missed by numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Willis and Jenna (Dunbar) Gallinger, one brother Donald Gallinger and one sister Hazel Rutley (Wilburt of Cornwall). Visitation will be held at the BROWNLEE FUNERAL HOME MacDougall Chapel & Reception Centre, 14815 County Road 2, Ingleside on Friday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. [A service in celebration of Bill Gallinger's life will be held in Trinity United Church Ingleside on Saturday May 16, 2009 at 11:00 a.m.]. Reverend Gary Stokes officiating. Interment to follow at Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Ingleside.
