Ronald Harvey Metcalfe
1922 - 2013

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Harvey on Monday, June 24, 2013. Much loved husband of Stella Metcalfe (nee Doth). Dear brother of Bill Metcalfe (Jean). Predeceased by one sister Erma Baird (John). Dear son of the late Rupert Metcalfe and the late Edna Peresian. Dear brother-in-law to Claire Besner (late Bruno), Vanita MacDonald (late Ron), Gilles and Irene Doth, and Claude and Doreen Doth. Cherished uncle to many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call at the Munro & Morris Funeral Homes Ltd., 20 Main St. South, Maxville (613-527-2898) on Friday, June 28, 2013 from 10 am until 1pm. 1926 - 2013

At home on Monday, June 24, 2013. Elizabeth Joyce Cumming (nee MacKay) of Lancaster; age 86 years. Joyce was born in Saskatchewan, raised in Cape Breton and nursed in Montreal. Beloved wife for over 60 years of D. MacNaughton Cumming. Loving mother of Rosann Carr (Sheldon) of Bainsville, Malcolm Cumming (Bonnie) of Williamstown, Ian Cumming (Allison) of Green Valley, and Alex Cumming (Mary) of Williamstown. Predeceased by 1 son Allistair Cumming, by one daughter in law Dorothy Cumming, by 2 grandsons Eric and Liam Cumming and by 3 sisters Evangeline Landsburg, Evelyn Shupe, and Jeanette Lepatourel. Dear daughter of the late J.D. MacKay and the late Bertha Little. Also survived by 15 grandchildren Dan, Emily, Kylie, Alicia, Callum, Marissa, Vera, Margaret, Mac, Mei Le, Ebba, Bryce, Pamela, Lynn and Evelyn, and by 1 great-grandchild Fiona. Loving father of Joseph Occhionero and Chelsea Ellis both at home. Dear brother of Gary Occhionero (Maggie) of Innisfil, Ontario and Keith Occhionero (Karen) of Elmira, Ontario. Beloved son of Ronald Occhionero of Toronto and the late Willa Parsons. Dear uncle of Griffin, Logan, Tyler, Braydan and Oliver. At the St. Joseph’s Continuing Care Centre, Cornwall on Friday, October 26, 2012. Edward Sabourin of Moose Creek; age 84 years. Beloved husband of Theresa Sabourin (nee Dumesnil). Loving father of Gary Sabourin (Lana) of Ottawa. Dear brother of Archie Sabourin (Diane) of Moose Creek, Lionel Sabourin and Andre Sabourin (Margaret) both of Cornwall, and Lucien Sabourin of Montreal. Predeceased by 9 brothers Leo, Raymond, Alcide, Fernand, Adelard, Maurice, Rolland, Wilfred and Jerome. Cherished grandfather of Emily Campbell-Sabourin and Jessica Hyatt. Dear son of the late Ernest Sabourin and the late Emily Charlebois. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Angels Catholic Church, Moose Creek on Saturday, November 3, 2012 at 11 am. Peacefully at Chateau Gardens Nursing Home, Lancaster on Saturday, October 9, 2010. Elizabeth ‘Tibi’ McRae (nee McNaughton) of Lancaster; age 95 years. Beloved wife of the late Lloyd George McRae. Loving mother of Ron McRae (Carolyn), Wendy Wert (Les) and Colleen Shepherd (Gary). Predeceased by her infant son Brian. Proud grandmother of Lee (Jill), Wendy (Kennedy), Tamara (Dave), Todd (Wendy), Kim (Rodney), Tracey (Steve), Shawn (Tara); and great-grandmother of Leiland, Ross, Abby, Jack, Grant, Matthew, Lloyd, Ellie, Campbell, Lochlan, Duncan, Norah, Malcolm, Harry, Derek, Graydon, Alastair, and Molly. Dear sister of the late Annabell McNaughton, the late Margaret ‘Peggy’ Thompson (late Edwin), the late Alex McNaughton (Margaret); and sister-in-law of Blanche McRae (late Milton), the late Joan McRae Rost (late Wilfred), the late Jane Oxley, the late Ross McRae, the late Anna McFarlane, and the late Jack McRae. Daughter of the late Edgar L. McNaughton and the late Maude McNaughton (nee Sangster). Tibi graduated from Kemptville Agriculture School in the spring of 1938. She married that autumn, and until she was widowed in March 2000 lived at the McRae Farm in Bainsville. Active in Women's Institute for over 70 years she enjoyed her home, family, community and church. She was a wonderful mother, great cook, avid gardener, and loved sewing and needlework. Shirley McGregor

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Shirley McGregor (nee McNaughton) at the Ottawa General Hospital on September 27, 2010 in her 79th year. Dearly beloved wife of the late David H. McGregor. Dearly loved mother of Lynn Hendrie (Jack) and Lori Prendergast (Mark). Proud grandma of Dylan and Samantha Prendergast. Loving sister of Jean Harrison (John). Predeceased by her parents the late Leonard J. McNaughton and the late Florence M. McLaurin and her brother John Alexander “Jack” (late Lillian). Adored aunt of many nieces and nephews and grandnieces and grandnephews. Robert Alexander "Alex" McNaughton
November 17, 1923 – October 4, 2007

After a full and wonderful life, and a long struggle with cancer, Alex peacefully passed away in Alexandria in his 84th year. He cherished his family and will be forever missed by his beloved children Robert (Wendy) of Calgary, Brian of Bainsville, Debbie of Calgary, Geoffrey of Bainsville, Maureen (Brian) of Ottawa, grandson Ross, granddaughter Laura and wife Margaret (nee Warrington) of 53 years. He leaves behind his sisters Annabell and Elizabeth “Tibi” McRae of Lancaster and his brother-in-law Edwin Thompson of Long Sault. Predeceased by his parents Edgar and Maude McNaughton (Sangster) and sister Margaret “Peggy” Thompson. Alex is survived by many nieces and nephews. Alex graduated from Kemptville Agricultural School in 1947 and returned to share the operation of the family farm with his father. McNaughton View Farms is a century farm with a dairy operation. Over the years with many changes and expansions and with the help of his own sons and daughters all enjoyed a busy productive life. Alex was a Holstein Breeder for over 50 years and a prized plowman. He served in local government for a span of 16 years as councilor, deputy reeve, reeve and Warden of SD&G in 1970. A life member of Lancaster Masonic Lodge #207. Alex followed his father as a board member and president of the Glengarry Farmers Mutual Fire Insurance Company. Recognized for his agricultural contribution and community involvement he was inducted into the Glengarry Agricultural Wall of Fame and was a recipient of the Queens Jubilee Metal. Already missed by his faithful border collie “Sandy”. Alex’s family would like to express a great debt of thanks to the staff and volunteers of the Glengarry Memorial Hospital for the love and care they provided during his Hospital stay. Special thanks to Mrs. Ray Spooner, palliative care.
