Doris Ferguson

At the Cornwall Community Hospital, McConnell site on Tuesday, May 26, 2009 at the age of 86. Retired high school teacher and proud member of the United Empire Loyalist Association of Canada. Cherished mother of Lynn Lafave (Brent) of Williamstown, and stepmother of Janice, George (Shirley), Darryl (Lise), Kerry (Robin), and Kent (Dianne) Ferguson. Sadly missed by her grandchildren Jesse (Lisa), Jordan, Jenna, Aaron, Cathy, Michael, Melissa, Travis, Connor and Emma, and by one great grandson Tristan. Predeceased by her husband Leonard Ferguson of Strathmore, her parents William and Margaret McWhinnie, her brother Warren (Rae) and her sister Marian McNaughton (Buddy). Survived by her sister Vivian Walker (Lorne) and by her brother Lester McWhinnie (Bernie). Relatives and friends may call at the Munro & Morris Funeral Homes Ltd., 46 Oak St. Lancaster (613-347-3629) on Wednesday, May 27, 2009 from 7-9 pm, on Thursday from 1-4 pm and 7-9 pm and on Friday from 9:30 am until 10:30 am. Albert Brewer

Suddenly at his home on Tuesday, May 14, 2013, Albert Edward Brewer of Monkland; age 93 years. Beloved husband of Agnes Christie-Brewer (nee McNaughton). Loving father of Albert (Laurette), Marilyn Arrowsmith (David) and the late Edward (Rachèle). Dear brother of Diana Wakely (Bryn), the late Margaret Chapman and the late George (Joan). Predeceased by his parents Emily and George Brewer and his first wife Marjorie Brewer (nee Gartshore). Proud grandfather of Oona, Zoe, Danny, Kim, Jeannette and Robbie. Deeply missed by his 7 great-grandchildren. Albert was a proud member of the Royal Canadian Air Force from 1941-1945 and saw action in WWII as a surveillance photographer. Agnes Hamre

At St. Joseph’s Villa, Cornwall on Thursday, March 24, 2011. Agnes Catherine Hamre (nee McNaughtan) of Cornwall; age 86 years. Beloved wife of the late Edmund Hamre (1970). Loving sister of Anna Mae Wightman (late Clifford) and Jean Gardner (Melvin). Predeceased by two brothers Theodore “Ted” (late Esther) and Duncan (late Anne). Dear daughter of the late James Alexander McNaughtan and the late Anna Bella Campbell. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. A veteran of WWII as a WAC, Agnes packed parachutes at Shilo Camp, Manitoba. After an honourable discharge in 1946, Agnes returned to work in the payroll department at Stelco Steel Co. in Montreal. Interment in Mount Royal Cemetery, Montreal at a later date beside her beloved Eddie. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of the Munro & Morris Funeral Homes Ltd., 114 Main St. South, Alexandria (613-525-2772). As expressions of sympathy Memorial Donations to the Lung Association would be appreciated by the family.

Pearl Rozon

At the Cornwall Hospice on Monday, September 2, 2013. Sarah Catherine “Pearl” Rozon (nee McNaughton) of Williamstown; age 91 years. Beloved wife of the late Rene Rozon. Loving mother of Joan Rozon (David MacIntyre) and the late Lloyd Rozon. Caring sister of Hazel Demoulin (late Harold) and the late Malcolm McNaughton. Dear daughter of the late Peter McNaughton and the late Catherine Belle McCallum. Survived by two grandchildren Tamara Finch (David) and Todd Rozon (Wendy), and by four great-grandchildren Matthew, Graydon, Lloyd and Harrison. Pearl will be missed by a special friend, Anna MacDonald. At home on Monday, June 24, 2013. Elizabeth Joyce Cumming (nee MacKay) of Lancaster; age 86 years. Joyce was born in Saskatchewan, raised in Cape Breton and nursed in Montreal. Beloved wife for over 60 years of D. MacNaughton Cumming. Loving mother of Rosann Carr (Sheldon) of Bainsville, Malcolm Cumming (Bonnie) of Williamstown, Ian Cumming (Allison) of Green Valley, and Alex Cumming (Mary) of Williamstown. Predeceased by 1 son Allistair Cumming, by one daughter in law Dorothy Cumming, by 2 grandsons Eric and Liam Cumming and by 3 sisters Evangeline Landsburg, Evelyn Shupe, and Jeanette Lepatourel. Dear daughter of the late J.D. MacKay and the late Bertha Little. Also survived by 15 grandchildren Dan, Emily, Kylie, Alicia, Callum, Marissa, Vera, Margaret, Mac, Mei Le, Ebba, Bryce, Pamela, Lynn and Evelyn, and by 1 great-grandchild Fiona. Annabelle McNaughton

Annabell passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 8, 2009 at Chateau Gardens Lancaster in her 96th year. She is survived by her sister Elizabeth “Tibi” McRae of Lancaster, and by her sister in law Margaret McNaughton. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Edgar and Maude McNaughton (Sangster), by her sister Margaret “Peggy” Thompson, and by her brother Robert Alexander and brother in laws Lloyd McRae and Edwin Thompson. Annabell graduated from Ottawa Normal School. She spent ten years teaching in Glengarry County, where she was born. She then crossed the province to Leamington in Essex County, where she spent the next thirty years as principal of Mount Carmel, Ridge, and Margaret D. Bennie Schools. Annabell’s family would like to express a debt of thanks to the staff and volunteers of Chateau Gardens Lancaster for the love and care they provided while she was there. Loving mother of Warren MacDonald and Stanton MacDonald (Helen), and grandmother of Kerry, Keegan, Katie and Kody. Dear sister of Jean Hay, Iris Morrison (late John), Edwin (late Pheobe) and Kaye Hay, and sister in law of Duncan (Mary), and Hughie (Gertie). Predeceased by 5 brothers Alexander (Anna Margaret of Lochiel Rd.), George, Thomas, Lance and Hubert, by 2 sisters Gertrude and Violet, and by 1 brother in law Elmer (Inez of Alexandria). Dear daughter of the late Thomas Hay and the late Christina Ross. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by one son Robert, by 2 brothers Henry and Gerald, and by 2 sisters Thérèse and Alfreda. Dear son of the late Andre Larocque and the late Edith Deguire.
