Raluca-Ioana Sopterian (née Docea)
June 16, 1959 - June 30, 2004

It is with great sadness the family announces the sudden passing of Raluca-Ioana at McMaster Hospital on June 30, 2004. Irreplaceable friend and wife of Sergiu. Devoted and loving mother of Sorana and Tudor. Cherished daughter of Dr. Ioan and the late Dr. Elena Docea. She will be sadly missed by her brother Mihai Docea and his family. Raluca is resting at Friscolanti Funeral Chapel on Sunday 6-9pm and Monday 2-5pm and 6-9pm.

Ronald Brian Richard

Suddenly as the result of an automobile accident on Friday, July 2, 2004, Ron Richard in his 35th year. Born in Toronto, Ont, raised in Parrsboro, Nova Scotia and resided in Hamilton, Ont. Son of Donna Richard (Yorke) (Parrsboro, N.S.), Leo Richard (Etobicoke, Ont) Beloved husband of Silvana Richard. Son Tyler Allen (Amherst, N.S.) Step-father to Ashley and Melissa Bouwhuls (Hamilton, Ont). Dear brother of Mike and Michelle Richard (Kitchener, Ont.) and Troy Richard (Hamilton, Ont.). In-laws Michael and Angela Francella (Hamilton, Ont.). Also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends. Ron was an avid sports enthusiast and was an employee of Braemar Building Systems.
Visitation at the FRISCOLANTI FUNERAL CHAPEL, 43 Barton Street East (near James) on Monday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, July 6, 2004 at the Friscolanti Funeral Chapel at 11 a.m. Cremation to follow. March 02, 1927 - July 19, 2004

Surrounded his family at St. Joseph's Hospital on Monday, July 19, 2004 at the age of 77. Beloved husband of Angela (nee Merulla) for 51 years. Dearest father and father-in-law of Clara and Nick Ouzas, Louise, Margherita and Olivio Vallorani. Loving Nonno of Natalie, James, David and Alexandra. Dear brother and brother-in-law of the late Salvatore and Giuseppina Bartolotta, Calogero and Rosa Bartolotta, the late Maria and Antonio Guastella, Salvatrice and the late Alfonso Puzzo, Carmelo and the late Rosa Bartolotta, Antonietta and the late Giuseppe Bartolotta, Angelo and Giuseppina Bartolotta, Calogero and Muriel Merulla, Giuseppina and the late Luigi Rizzo, Concetta Merulla, Giuseppe and Rosalia Merulla, Salvatrice and Filippo Licata. Luigi will be fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews and was a long time member of the Fratellanza Racalmutese Club. The family would welcome a message of condolence at friscolanti.com. July 16, 1913 - July 22, 2004

Peacefully, after a lengthy illness, at St. Joseph's Hospital on Thursday, July 22, 2004, at the age of 91. Beloved husband of Preziosa for 68 years. Dear father and father-in-law of Giuseppina and Nunzio Leone, and Francesco and Maria Amatangelo. Loving grandfather of Edmondo and Sandra Leone, Anna and Brian Boyle, Pat and Anna Amatangelo, and Priscilla and Dino Farruggia. Dearly loved great-grandfather of Athena, Eddie Jr., Serena, Madison, Francesco and Gianluca. Dear brother and brother-in-law of the late Nunzio and Giuseppina Amatangelo, the late Caravita and Michele DeSantis, Maria and Ippolito Leone, and Domenic and Maria Amatangelo. Also survived by his nieces and nephews, Fiorina and Ascenzo Ricciotti, Jerry and Sue Amatangelo, and Frank and Janine Amatangelo. Also survived by many nieces and nephews in Italy. Carmine was a member of the Associazione Nazionale Combattenti E Reduci Sezione di Hamilton. Special thank you to the staff at St. Joseph's Hospital, 4th Floor Geriatrics, and especially Dr. Higgins. Antonio DiPelino
July 23, 1925 - July 26, 2004

Born in Pratola Peligna, AQ, Italy on July 23, 1925. Peacefully, passed away surrounded by his family at St. Peter’s Hospital on July 26, 2004 in his 79th year. Beloved husband of Francesca of 55 years. Loving and devoted father and father-in-law of Enrico and Maura, Frank and Lucy Angelini, Angela DeMerchant and Tony Jr. Cherished grandfather of Rico, Marco, Domenico, Rob, Chad and Dana. Predeceased by his brothers, Domenico, Eduardo and Giovanni. Survived by his sisters Assunta and Anna. Antonio will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews and by all of his wide circle of family and friends. He was a long time employee of Ennis Paikin Steel, Allen’s Candy and retired from Barton Metalworks. Also a member of the Pratola Club for over 40 years.

January 16, 1948 - July 28, 2004

We are heartbroken to announce that Antonio left this world peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family, at the age of 56. Loving husband and best friend of Marfina for 27 years. Devoted and cherished father of Consiglia (Lia), Luciana and Anthony. Beloved son of Consiglia and Amedeo of Italy, and son-in-law of Giuseppe and Luisa Candelori. Adoring brother and brother-in-law of Pasqualina and Giovanni Cipriani. Matteo, Gregorio, Rosa and Corradino Ferrara, Michele and Silvana, Domenico and Mirella, Nemerina and Gaetano Amici, Dora and Ilario Pacinelli, Dario, Dino and Chantale Candelori, Victor and Anna Candelori, and Tony and Brenda-Lee Candelori. Survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins in Canada and Italy, who loved him dearly. Tony will be missed by many good friends and neighbours whom he loved spending time with. He was well respected by many people in the construction and haulage business. Special thank you to the doctors and nurses at the Hamilton Cancer Centre. Donations to the Hamilton Regional Cancer Centre would be appreciated by the family. Alfonso Bruno

Peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, at St. Peter's Hospital on Friday, July 16, 2004, in his 75th year. Dearly loved husband of 50 years to Calogera Bruno (nee Gentile). Beloved father of Antoinette and her husband Garry Daley. Cherished nonno of Cassandra and Amanda. Dear son of the late Calogero and the late Antonina Bruno. Son-in-law of Carmela Gentile (nee Capostagno) and the late Salvatore Gentile. Dear brother of Antonino Bruno and his wife Michelina Bruno of Hamilton, and brother of the late Salvatore Bruno and his wife, the late Calogera Bruno, of Montaperto, Sicily. Dear brother-in-law of Salvatore Gentile and his wife Maria Gentile of Hamilton, and of Maria Gentile and the late Giuseppe Gentile of Germany. He was loved and cherished by all his nieces and nephews, Charlie and Enza Bruno, Michelle and Kyle, Sam and Grace Bruno, Anthony, Alexander and Samantha; Alfonso and Heather Bruno, Anthony and Zachary; the late Calogero Bruno and his wife Giuseppina Bruno of Montaperto, Sicily, Antonella and Salvatore, and Salvatrice Cucchiara (nee Bruno) and her husband Calogero Cucchiara, Sonia and Giuseppe of Sicily, Sam and Josie Gentile, Sam and Laura, Carmela and Philippe Faure; Salvatore and Anna Gentile of Germany, and Antonino and Vincenza Gentile, Michelle and Laura of Germany. He was also loved by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
The family extends its gratitude to all involved in his care while at St. Joseph's Healthcare and to the nurses and Dr. Mantel of St. Peter’s Hospital, who allowed Alfonso to live his last days with dignity.
Alfonso was a retired Stelco employee. Alfonso was a gentle, kind, patient and generous man. He lived his last days with much courage and gave strength to his family. He loved life and dedicated his whole life to family, each day expressing the importance of love for each other. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
