After a courageous battle with cancer, Angelo passed away at St. Peter’s Hospital. Predeceased by his parents Carlo and Olga (nee Pieroni) and baby sister Rosalba (1929-30). Deeply missed and survived by brother Franco and sister in law Tina. Sister Alba and Brother in law Otto Tolsma. Angelo will be sadly missed by nieces and nephews in Canada; cousins in both Canada and Italy; and many friends in Canada, Italy, England, Ireland and the U.S.A. Angelo served as an usher at All Souls Roman Catholic Church for 50 years and was an employee of National Steel Car and retired from Anderson Water Systems Limited after 39 years. After a brief but valiant fight without complaint and like the true lady she was Marie (age 63) lost her battle to cancer. Predeceased by her husband of 41 years, Cliff (2000). Devoted and dearly loved mother and mother-inlaw of Lorna, Clifford Jr. and Lisa. Cherished nana of Matthew and Danielle McGrath, and Kyle (Sunshine) and Victoria (Peanut) Proulx. Daughter of Winnifred (deceased) and Albert Hennen. Sister to Ed, Marilyn, Fred, Leslie, Florence, Gloria and Barbara and their spouses, and aunt to many nieces and nephews. Will be greatly missed by special friends Betty and Al and Eleanor, Marie will be missed by her co-workers at Sears (Centre) where she was employed for over 31 years.
Marie touched many people in special ways throughout her life. She was a friend in every sense of the word and will be missed by so many. The world has lost a shining star but our mom left a piece of her brightness in all who knew her. Special thanks to the CCAC (Martin) and VON nurses Nuala, Sue, Debbie for all their help in making our mother comfortable in her last days. It is with deep sadness and much love that we announce the passing of our beloved father, Mario, the morning of September 8, 2003 at Henderson Hospital. Born March 26, 1920 in Fonteno, Italy. He will be remembered always by his loving family, daughters Livy and Glory, sons-in-law Rico Della Luna and Ross Wigle, and grandsons Paul and John Della Luna. Predeceased by his wife Natalina (1999) and son Frank (1962). Will be sadly missed by family in Italy. Mario was dearly loved and respected by his family and friends who valued his genuineness and unique view of life. He cherished the outdoors, nature, art and the intellect; as well, he was someone who loved to work with his hands and build and repair. Peacefully at St. Elizabeth Villa in Hamilton on September 4, 2003, in her 93rd year. Her family will miss her, but they have many great memories because she was a wonderful mother, grand- mother and great-grandmother. She was always loving, gentle, kind and generous to everyone, especially her family and extended family. The grandchildren often talk about the great times and meals, especially desserts they had at Hamilton Nanny's and Grampy's. She will finally be with her husband George who died in 1987 and who she missed very much. Survived by children Margaret, George (Rosemarie), grandchildren Debbie (Tom), Shelley (Chris), Kelly (Mark), Mark (Lori), Michael (Tara), Michelle (Pete), great-grandchildren Alexander, Brayden, Noah, Matthew, Charlotte, Madison, Hayley and Owen.
