Deborah Cartmill passed away at the Plummer Memorial Hospital on Thursday, December 13, 2001. Beloved wife of Ray Cartmill. Dear mother of Colin, Graeme and Ian. Daughter of Kathleen and the late Leonard Mergaret. Dear sister of Philip Mergaert (Lena) of Sault Ste. Marie, Glen Mergaert (Debbie) of Calgary, Wendy Mergaert of Seattle, Ann Mergaert of Calgary and Becky Mergaert of Sault Ste. Marie. Daughter-in-law of Irene and the late Raymond Cartmill, sister-in-law of Dave Cartmill (Anna) all of Sault Ste. Marie. Niece of Pauline Charlebois of Sault Ste. Marie. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Family and close friends are invited to attend the funeral service in the chapel at Northwood Funeral Home (942 Great Northern Road 945-7758) on Monday, Dec. 17 at 6:00 p.m. with Pastor Joe Reese officiating. Visitation will then follow from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Cremation to follow. Memorial donations to the Sault Area Hospitals (Cancer Clinic) would be appreciated by the family. Thank you to the friends and co-workers who shared the last hours of Debbie's Journey. She has given us a great gift of joy and compassion that our souls can carry to a higher level. "Blessed are the pure at heart, for they shall see God."

William John Clark passed away peacefully at the Plummer Memorial Hospital on Wednesday, December 12, 2001 at the age of 83 years. Husband of the late Arlie. Loving father of Billy (Debbie), Karen Brown (Bill), Weldon (Penny), Donald and the late Kathy Clark. Cherished grandfather of Barry Clark, Marsha Brisson (Joseph), Marilyn and Calvin Doherty, B.J. Brown, Corina and Charlene Clark. Great grandfather of Mikie and A.J. Brisson. Dear brother of Weldon Clark, Wilma Temlik (Doug) and May Shepherd (Tom). Friends may call at the Arthur Funeral Home on Sunday, Dec 16 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. At the request of the family there will be no funeral service. Cremation. Memorial contributions to Sault Area Hospitals Cancer Clinic or Oncology Unit would be appreciated by the family.

Ralph Joseph John (J.J.) Sikes-Schell passed away peacefully at his residence with his family at his side after a courageous battle with cancer on December 5, 2001 at the age of 23 years. Beloved son and best friend of Kathleen and her husband, Jim Kavanaugh, Steve Schell and his wife, Heidi. Dear brother of Earl (Wil) and Elizabeth Schell. Stepbrother of Jaclyn Kavanaugh, Christina, Christian, and Melissa Charles. Beloved grandson of the late Robert (Bob) Sikes, Margaret Wilson (Trevor), Wilbert and Gearleain Schell and Jean Gibson. Loving nephew of Christina Morrison (Tony), Ralph and Brian Sykes, Judy Porter (Errett), Darla Malkki (Joe) and Linda Wierzbicki (Dave). Ralph will be fondly remembered for his strong courage and determination by his little cousin and best buddy, Robbie Sykes and many other cousins, family and friends. Visitation will be held at the Seventh Day Adventist Church, 120 Cunnigham Street, Sault Ste. Marie on Saturday, Dec 15 from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. Funeral service to be held at the Seventh day Adventist Church on Sunday, Dec. 16 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Ralph Sykes Memorial Trust Fund, c/o Orillia Collegiate Fund would be appreciated by the family.

Loving mother of Donna Kozak (Tom), Denise Engelage (John), Darlene McMillan, Danielle Bartlett (Reg), Donald (Michelle), Dina Seabrook (Paul), Danny (Doreen), Derinda Lannigan (Tom), Derek (Joanne) and the late Diana Jamieson (Allan). Proud Gramma of 23 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Dear sister of William, Alfred, Theresa, Pat and Darlene. Joyce will be sadly missed by her many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Arthur Funeral Home and Cremation Centre on Wednesday, August 7 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held in the chapel on Thursday, August 8, at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Dear sister of Verena Newman (Dave), Oscar Nelson (Marilyn), Bernhard Nelson (late Bernice) and Albert Nelson (Jenny). Irene was predeceased by Rudolph, Arthur, George Nelson (Murdine) and Ruth Zaffini (Edward). Mrs. Hietala is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
