Louis Garneau
Mr. Louis Garneau, age 66, of 164 Easson Street, Stratford passed away peacefully at the Stratford General Hospital on Friday, October 13, 2000. He was born in Windsor, son of the late Joseph Garneau and the former Alpheda Marquis. He had been employed at Allied Signal retiring in 1993. He was a member of St. Joseph s Roman Catholic Church, Stratford and Knights of Columbus Kilroy Council #1431. He had been a cub leader in Stratford for many years, enjoyed his summer home in Kincardine and he dearly loved his grandchildren. He is the beloved husband of the former Marjorie Walsh whom he married October 7, 1961. Loving father of Annette Garneau of Stratford and Michele and husband Joseph Craddock of Waterloo. Dear grandfather of Michael, Laura and Matthew. Brother of Germaine Goudreau, Cecile Courtney, Rita and Ed Lacourciere, Helen and Vince Broderick, Anna and Jules Baetens, Joe Garneau, Monique and Charles Forbis, Theresa Pare, Angie Sedge, Emilie Groover, Ernest and Rose Garneau, Madeline and Bob Labbe. Son-in-law of Patrick and Myrtle Walsh, R.R. 5 Stratford. Brother-in-law of Joan and Paul Sheppard, Tom and Sandy, Martin Walsh and Chris, Irene and Barry Lydon, Michael and Francine Walsh, Cathy and Greg Valcke. Also survived by many nieces and nephews and their families. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by two sisters Marguerite and Gertrude Garneau and brothers-in-law Stan Bechard, Clarence Sedge, Vince Pare and Leonard Goudreau. Friends and relatives may call at the W.G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron St., Stratford on Monday, October 16, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph s Roman Catholic Church on Tuesday at 11 a.m. Rev. Fr. Richard Tremblay will be celebrant. Interment will follow in Avondale cemetery. Peacefully at Memorial Hospital, St. Marys on Friday, January 5, 2001 Penny Kramer (nee Dingwall) of St. Marys in her 48th year. Beloved wife of Dick Kramer of St. Marys. Loving mother of Judy Phillips and husband Cory of Lakeside and Joanne Kramer and loving friend Jeff Rolston of St. Marys. Dearly loved daughter of Ann May Dingwall of Lakeside and the late John (Jack) Dingwall (1998). Also survived by two brothers Dale Dingwall and his wife Heather of Colburg and Don Dingwall and his wife Charlotte of Lakeside. Sadly missed by four nieces Andrea, Erin, Gemma, Chardon and sisters-in-law Janet Wall, Betty Jamieson both of London and Ria Gowan of Kirkton and brother-in-law Hank Kramer of London. Predeceased by brother Bill Dingwall (1995). Marjorie (nee Dunnell) Brown-Maxwell
Marj moved on to heaven on April 14, 2001, after celebrating her 90th birthday with her family by her side. Former wife of George Maxwell and predeceased by her first loving husband Warren King Brown (1955). Predeceased by parents John and Minnie Dunnell. Beloved and dear mother of Randle Warren Brown and wife Barbara of Toronto, Ryan Milton Brown and wife Dianne of Brockville. Cherished grandmother to Matthew Warren Brown, Adam Arthur Brown and Jane Marella Dianne Brown. Dear sister to Milt Dunnell of Toronto and predeceased by brother Goldie (Goldwyn). Marj will be sadly missed by nephews Milton Dunnell of Toronto and Mike Dunnell and dear wife Gail of Windsor and their children Catherine, Patricia and Michael. Special friend to Marlene, Rosary, Marilyn, Sterling, Cathy, Shane, Cole and Brett. During her lifetime Marj was a reporter with The Beacon Herald for 10 years, a medical secretary for Dr. George Bernstein for 15 years, and up until her mid-eighties a volunteer with the Canadian Red Cross for 15 years. Friends will be received in the chapel at the Morris Sutton Funeral Home, 68 Giles Boulevard East, Windsor, Ontario, on Tuesday, April 17, 2001 from 10:00 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Cremation to follow. David Edward Ryan
Passed peacefully away at the Stratford General Hospital on June 9th, 2001 in his 57th year after a long courageous three year battle with cancer. Leaving with loving cherished memories his wife and best friend Margaret (nee Speirs). His son John and wife Catherine; grandchildren Megan, Jeffery, Tyler and Ryan, all of Brampton. Sisters MaryLou Stinson and husband David, Joan Cobb and husband Robert; Aunts Eileen Foley and Marie Lacey and husband George; nine nieces and nephews and their families, all of St. John s Newfoundland who dearly loved their Uncle Dave, and a large circle of other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Cyril K. and Josephine Ryan (nee Tobin), his beloved grandmother Lydia Ryan and Aunt Loretta McNiven. He had been employed at St. Clare s Hospital in St. John s for a number of years before coming to Stratford where he worked with the Stratford and Area Association For Community Living for twelve years. Eric John Schmidt
passed away suddenly on Sunday, February 10, 2002 at St. Mary s Hospital, Kitchener, Eric Schmidt of New Hamburg and formerly of RR 2 Gadshill. He was born 82 years ago in North Easthope Township, a son of the late John and Mary Jane (Wilhelm) Schmidt. Eric was a member of Zion United Church, New Hamburg and a life member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #532 New Hamburg where he had been past president and member of both the sports and poppy committee. He had served in the Canadian Army during Second World War and was a member of the Restless Seniors, New Hamburg and enjoyed playing cards and darts. Beloved husband of the former Catherine Emma (Cass) Nahrgang whom he married October 11, 1941. Loving father of Jean and her husband Jack Davidson of Goderich, Shirley at home and Sharon and her husband tom Clements of New Hamburg. Lovingly remembered by seven grandchildren Jim and Dianne Davidson, Jane and Jeff Jack, Terry and Shelley Schmidt, Tammy and Kim Beauchamp, Dale and Chris Clements, Joan Clements and Shane Adair and Debbie Clements and Gord Booker and eight great-grandchildren.
