PODSTAWKA, Beverly

Peacefully at home with her loving family on December 31, 2004. Beloved wife of 53 years to Mike. Predeceased by her parents Joseph and Dora Hagger, her brother Kenneth and sister Diane. Cherished by her children Paul (Helena) of Blind River, Janice Johnson (Richard) of Truro, NS., Susan Hanna (Chad) of Aurora, Nancy Edwards (John) of Whitby, and David (Tiffanie) of Sudbury. Bev had a loving and special relationship with each of her grandchildren: Jeff (Jane), Bill and Matthew Johnson, Craig and Lauren Hanna, Laura and Michael Podstawka, Nicholas and Jack Podstawka and Leah Rose Edwards. Bev will be sadly missed by her nieces and nephews and fondly remembered by her dear friends. Bev was a valued member of her community and will be remembered by her contributions to CWL, Girl Guides of Canada, the Horticultural Society and the Hospital Auxiliary. Active in the CWL for over 25 years, she served in many capacities including a term as President. Her 12 years in Guiding were completed with a term as District commissioner, however her greatest joy came from her involvement with her Brownies. She will be forever missed within the community by the many lives she touched with her unique kindness and caring ways. Visitation at the Menard Funeral Home, Blind River on Sunday, January 2 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Funeral mass at St. James the Greater Parish on Monday, January 3 at 10:00 a.m. As expressions of sympathy, donations to St. James the Greater Parish or the Blind River District Health Centre would be greatly appreciated. -

Brother of Philip, Tommy, Ronnie, Mark, Barbara, Sophie and Meredith. Missed by many aunts, uncles and cousins. Uncle of many. Loved by her 9 great grandchildren. Daughter of the late Eva Turner. Remembered by her many aunts and uncles. A private family service was held. Brother-in-law of; Rosetta Smith (late Bill), Achille Perri (late Nella) and Tony Salamone (Charlotte). Fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews in Sault Ste. Marie and Italy. Bill will be greatly missed by extended family and many friends in Scotland, Canada and the United States. He touched the hearts and minds of many.
