passed away peacefully, at the General Hospital on Saturday June 5, 2004 after a courageous battle with multiple sclerosis; Anna DeSimone at the age of 64 years. Beloved wife of Nello DeSimone. Devoted mother of; RudyAnn Putton (Silvano) and Ted DeSimone (Shannon). Cherished nanna of; Dakoda, Storm, Justice and Sthone. Dear sister of; Lina Berlingieri (Carmen) and Maria Cipparone (Mario). Anna will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Northwood Funeral Home (942 Great Northern Road 945-7758) on Tuesday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Mass at St. Gregory's Church on Wednesday June 9, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Memorial donations made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society would be appreciated by the family. A special thank to the I.C.U. nurses at the General Hospital for their wonderful care. ()

Peacefully, with her family by her side on Monday, June 7, 2004 at the age of 92. Beloved wife of over 52 years to the late Jack Draper. Loving mother of Glenys Lawrence (Dave) and Sally Martinez (Ernie). Grandmother of Sabrina, Liana, Angela, Debbie and Jay. Great grandmother of Alex, Gus, Cody, Nicole, Sarah and Brandon. Anne will be sadly missed by her sister May Fortin (late Bummer) and is predeceased by Ethel Gutcher (late Loyal), Charles (late Saidie), Bob (late Lillian), Earl (late Grace), Harry (late Mable), George (late Donalda), Arthur (late Belle) and Tom (late Lucy). Anne is survived by many nieces and nephews. Wayne is the brother-in-law of Patricia Clarke (Gary), Leona Clark (Ron), Marie Morgan (late Tom), Jerry Pearson (Candice) Danny Pearson (Beverley) and the late Ellen Growden (Jim) and Alex Pearson. Ines is survived by her sister Rosina Marcaccio (late Corrado)of Italy and predeceased by Elda Ferranti (late Erminio), Esterina Amaola (late Fiorello), Mima Ferranti (late Lino), Ada Bella (late Dante), Guiseppe Marzetti (Gurinna) and Achille Marzetti (Silvana). Sister-in-law of Mafalda Pacella (late Bruno)of Italy. Ines will be sadly missed by her nephew Paul Pacella (Millie), and friends Enis Perugini (late Leno), Adele Perugini (John Dudgeon) Luigina Candido (late Delfino) and by many nieces and nephews. Ines was devoted to helping the poor and was a member of Precious Blood Catholic Women’s League and the Legion of Mary. Sadly missed by his wife Carey and Children Derek and Erin and the late infant John Charles Jr. Loving son of Betty and the late Fred. Grandson of Ella Thompson of Thorold. John was a long-time employee of St. Mary’s paper and was well known in the community for his involvement as a hockey coach. Surrounded by love, Florence Belec peacefully passed away on June 12, 2004 at the age of 87. Florence is survived by her daughters Judi (Bob) – Calgary, Barbara (Bill) – Conestoga, Cathie (Kevin) – Kansas; grandchildren Laurie, Lynda, Kim, Rob, Scott, Melora, Raegan, Justin, Katie and Brenna; and great grandchildren Mia and Brenley. She was predeceased by her loving husband Lloyd, cherished daughter Bonnie (Roy) and sister Artimise. Often described as a fashion plate in the Sault area, Flo epitomized style and grace. She delighted in the camp life of chipmunks, loons, playing cards and spending time with loved ones. Gently guiding us with her wisdom, love and humour, Flo will be dearly missed. Special thanks to Dr. Marrack and the staff at Sault Area Hospitals for their compassionate care and attention. Friends and family are invited to a “come and go” celebration of Flo’s life at her home of 455 MacDonald Avenue on Tuesday, June 15 between 2:00 and 4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Sault Ste. Marie Public Library would be appreciated.

Cherished mother of and inspiration to Tom of London and Sarah of Oshawa. Daughter of the late Edward and Margaret Chasty. Daughter-in-law of the late Tom and Margaret McDowell. Dear sister of Laura Chasty and Edward Chasty Jr. (Denise) all of Thunder Bay. Sister-in-law of Irene Millar (Jim) of Scotland. Niece of Elizabeth McDowell. Aunt to Scott, Cheryl and Angela Chasty of Thunder Bay. Prior to her illness, Barbara devoted years of service as a canvasser for the Canadian Cancer Society. A devoted wife and mother, she touched the lives of many with her personality and her warm smile. She will be dearly missed by all.
