MORRELL, Harry Edgar

August 24, 1909 - May 30, 2004. In loving memory of Harry Morrell, a resident of Elliot Lake for the past 2 years, and formerly Bayside Apartments, Gore Bay, died at the St. Joseph's Hospital, Elliot Lake on Sunday May 30, 2004 at the age of 94 years. He was born in Gordon Township son of the late Ammonde and Ellen (Neely) Morrell. Harry had worked at the Sault Star for 18 years, farmed, worked in the mines in Sudbury and drove bus and the mail run to Little Current and Meldrum Bay for 11 years. Harry was predeceased by his wife Hazel in 1987. Surviving are daughter Elaine (husband Jack) of Toronto and daughter-in-law Jean of Sudbury. Predeceased by son Iliff. Proud grandfahter of Lara, Diane and Clifford, and great grandson Ben. Dear brother of Roy Morrell (May) of Elliot Lake and brother-in-law of Jean Morrell of Gore Bay. Predeceased by sisters Winnie Campbell and Ella Harper and brothers Burley and Leonard Morrell. Friends may call at the Culgin Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 2, 2004 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. The funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. with Mr. Carson Wallace officiating. Interment in Gordon Cemetery. If so desired, donations may be made to the charity of your choice.

Gary is survived by sons Michael and Daniel; mother, Irene Chapman (late Paul, late Harry); brothers Peter (Patricia) and Bob; sisters Betty, Rena (late Bill), Audrey and Shirley (Bob). Predeceased by brothers Ron, Leo and Butch and sister Rita (late Alvin). A private family service will be held.

BELKOSKY, William James

June 20, 1953 – May 27, 2004. It is with deep sadness that the family announces the passing of William James Belkosky at the Sault Area Hospital on Thursday, May 27, 2004. Beloved son of the late Peter and Laura Belkosky, dear brother of Charles Belkosky (Delores), Edward Belkosky (Madeleine), Lorne Belkosky (Edna), Russell Belkosky (Nancy) and Mary Spooner (Rheal) all of Sault Ste. Marie and Gordon Belkosky (Karen) of Leduc, Alberta. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Special friend to Simo, Veronica and Simo Jr. Lukkarila. In keeping with Willy’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral. Cremation to follow.

At Algoma Manor on Monday, May 31, 2004. Mary Fahrer, widow of Reginald Joseph (deceased in 1979). Mother of Katherine (Kay) Falls (Lorne), Bud Fahrer (late Sophia), Judy Jones (George), Susan Ramsay (James) and the late Janet Fahrer (Cameron Guyatt) (late Bill Smithers). Grandmother to Kathy (Ken) Gullen, Michael Falls, William Smithers, Junior (Holly), Robert Smithers (Nadine), Duane (Donna) Fahrer, Terry (Gene) Nicholson, Darin (April) Fahrer, Tom Fahrer, Lyle (Tanja) Fahrer, Rick (Terri) Jones, Kari (David) Hernden, Marcie Jones, Tammy (Charles) Grawbarger, and 22 great grandchildren. Mary was born October 10, 1910 on Cockburn Island and was raised there. She and Reg lived there after they married and eventually moved to Thessalon where they stayed. Mary was predeceased by her parents William and Catherine Jones and all her siblings except Betty Kline (Elgin Robinson). Her sisters were Linda Richards (late Dan), Annie Goodmurphy (late Harry) and her brothers were Bill Jones (late Ina), Jack Jones (late Irene), Roy Jones, Harry Jones (late Blanche), Ivan Jones (late Irene), Les Jones (late Mamie). Mary will be missed by many nieces and nephews, friends and neighbours. No visitation. A public funeral service will be held at the Thessalon Bible Chapel on Wednesday, June 2, 2004 at 7:00 p.m. Donations to the Algoma Manor Relocation Fund or charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.

Loving father of Irene Bernard, Carolyn Crowder (Everett), Paul Koivisto (Brenda). Grandfather of Chris Crowder (Lee-Ann), Lisa Grasley (Dan), Jim Koivisto (Shawna) and Lee Koivisto (Erin). Great grampa to Kaitlyn and Emily Grasley, Paige and Karsyn Koivisto and Matti Onni Koivisto. Brother of Helen Tessier (Clyde), late Lempi Leppanen (late Eric), late Leo Koivisto (Betty). Brother-in-law of the late Clayton McMullin (Josie), Enid McMullin, Joy Bye (Joe), Miriam Pinder (late Bob), Ruth McGruer (Tom), Robert McMullin (late Wilma), Alan McMullin (Annis), Nora Kowalyk (Dave), Rosemary Pinnell (Wayne) and the late Carol McMullin. Uncle to many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Arthur Funeral Home and Cremation Centre on Thursday, June 3, 2004 from 7-9 pm. Born November 8, 1928, died May 28, 2004, formerly of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. passed away peacefully with his beloved wife Bernadette of 52 years by his side. Loving father of Bill (Roxanne), Angela (Dave), Patrick (Sandy), Isabel Irvine (late David), Thomas (late Elaine), Maureen (Dave), Gerard (Kathy Jo), Bernadette (Pat), Kieran, Brian (Ruth) and David (Patti). Much loved grandpa of 18 grandchildren. Loving brother of Marie (Joe), Paul (Shirley) of the Sault. William also has many brothers and sisters in Belfast, Northern Ireland, and will be missed by many nieces and nephews. He was a business agent for the local Painter’s Union, in the early 80’s and was a kind-hearted loving man with a great sense of humour. Loved dearly by all who met him. Service for William will take place in Brampton, Ontario at St. Andrew’s Funeral Home on Dixie Road on Tuesday June 1st, 2004 at 10:00 a.m.

Born in Alberton, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Annie (nee Dunn) Profit. Dear mother of Joan Wells of Smithers, B.C., Beverley Bertolo (Bruce Irving) of Alberton, Daine (Tom) Jordan of Allendale III, U.S.A., Alan Wells of Dartmouth, N.S., Valerie Wells of Nine Mile Creek, Charles Wells of Victoria, B.C., Deborah (Ron) Rouleau of Sault Ste. Marie, ON, Elizabeth Krum (Jimmy Perry) of St. Louis, P.E.I., Heather Wells (Alan Arsenault) of Ft. MacMurray. She is also survived by a brother James Profit of Alberton as well as 15 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. She is also survived by a brother-in-law Keith Wells and by a sister-in-law Doris Profit of Charlottetown. She was predeceased by brothers and sisters Ralph, Kenneth, John, Heath, Charles, William, Robert, Molly, Norma and Clare. Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home, Alberton, P.E.I. Visiting hours Tuesday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral on Wednesday morning from St. Peters Anglican Church, Alberton with funeral service at 10:30 a.m. Rev. Simon Davies officiating. Interment in St. Peters Anglican Church Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy memorials to the Western Hospital or to the Maplewood Manor Equipment Fund would be gratefully appreciated.

Devoted mother of Larry (Dianne) and John (Cathy). Cherished nanny of Tanya, Rachelle, Nicholas (Laura) and Joseph. Sister of the late Elizabeth Cristello (late John) and Edo Reale. Sister-in-law of Ida Kraft (Emerson), Rocky Cristello (Betty), Doreen Ochoski (late Stan), late Mary St. Denis and the late Rose Fera (late Jim). At Josephine’s request there will be no service. Special and loving sister of; Anthony Liut (Gloria) of Tecumseh, Ontario, Angelo Liut (Dorothy), Adelchi Liut (friend Pat)(late Lita), Evia Desaulnier (Emile), Olimpia "Lee" Jarret (Lorne) and the late Ines Zorzi (late Ferti). Sister-in-law of; the late Nicholas (Vicki), late Marino (late Jean) and the late Albert (Gloria). Sue will be remembered by many nieces and nephews and friends Debbie Budge and Dianne and Rusty Bushen.
