Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Clare served as Union President of the Tube Mill in the 1960’s and was a member of the founding Boards of ASCU Community Credit Union and The Group Health Centre. Daughter of the late Domenic and Giuseppina Pavoni. Sister of the late Mary Deluco, and Andrew (Andy) Pavoni. Survived by her grandchildren Gratia Giovanatti – Toscano (Paolo), Irma Jr. Direnzo (Paolo) and David Giovanatti, and by her great grandchildren Maximiliano and Chiara and many nieces and nephews. Special friend of Stephanie and Victor Batenchuk and Rose Pascuzzi. Carmela was known for her indomitable spirit and extraordinary generosity. She was a devout Christian with a child like faith in Jesus. She was a life time member of the Catholic Women’s League. During her declining years she raised the bar on models of patience, optimism and courage. She will be sadly missed.
