Peacefully at the Sault Area Hospital Palliative Care Unit on Wednesday, August 23, 2006 in his 82nd year after a lengthy illness. Much loved husband and soul mate of Fay. Father of Margaret (Al), Jane (John), Joanne (Mario), David (Joan), Doreen, Joyce (Dean). Greatly missed by his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Loved brother of Audrey (John) and Martin (Pat). Remembered by his sister-in-law Anne and his brother-in-law Graham. John will be missed by his many close friends and extended family. At John’s request there will be no visitation. A private family service will be held with cremation to follow. As expressions of sympathy, memorial contributions may be made to the Lung Association. Arrangements entrusted to the Arthur Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 759-2522.

It is with profound sadness that Ruth's family announces the passing of this very special lady on August 10, 2006. Beloved wife of the late Douglas Taylor. Devoted and loving mother of Louise Hertzog (Jim), Nancy, Rosann Frech (Tom), Ken (Gloria) and Donna Dunleavy (Tom). Cherished grandmother of Dwayne (Trudy), Krista (Roy), Tracy (Peter), Melissa (Mac), Andy (Jackie), Eric (Rachel), Nicolas, Klarisse, Ryan, Emily and Jared. Dear great grandmother of Andrew, Michael, Alexx, Amanda, Brittney, Candace and Ashley. Sister of the late Fred Gibson and the late Gerald Gibson (Jackie). A private family service was held at St. Luke's Cathedral with The Very Reverend Garry Dobinson officiating. Memorial donations made to the Canadian Cystic Fibrosis Foundation or Autism Society of Canada would be greatly appreciated by the family. Thanks to Dr. Bignell and the nurses at the General Hospital I.C.U. for their kindness and patience. A special thanks to Dr. E. Massicotte of Toronto Western Hospital and Dr. L. O'Brien of the Sault. Our mom's caring, kindness, humour and insurmountable love and affection for her family will live in our hearts forever. We will always feel blessed. Beloved mother of Karen Darlow (Michael) of Goulais River and Anita Findlay (Stephen) of Toronto. Dear grandmother of Ryan, Jasmine, Maverick and Xander. Also survived by sister-in-law Mary Denning and family of Sault Ste. Marie. Will be sadly missed by many family members and special friends John and Rachelle Ricard of Elliot Lake. At the age of 84 passed away on Friday, August 18, 2006, at the Don and Marilyn Anderson HospiceCare Center in Fitchburg, Wisconsin. Eva was born on April 1, 1922, in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada, to parents Amadeo and Teresa (Siasi) Simonini. She grew up in Sault Ste. Marie and came to the United States as a warbride after marrying Carlo Lucchesi on September 11, 1948. After 34 years of marriage, she was preceded in death by her husband in 1982. She lived in Rhode Island, Wisconsin and Arizona throughout her life. While a hard worker both in and out of her home, she always embraced life and enjoyed laughter. She loved to embroider and travel, enjoyed playing cards and bingo and was a great cook. She is survived by her three daughters: Sandra (John) Englesby of Madison, Beverly (Robert) King of Glendale, AZ, and Janice Lucchesi of Madison; grandchildren: Carrie (Michael) Hanson, Lee (special friend Natalie Phillips) Eslyn, Brian (Carrie) King, and Ashlee (fiancé Gary Kisicki) King; and great grandchildren, Maxwell and Ethan Hanson. She is further survived by her loving brother, Reno (Helen) Simonini of Madison; sister, Rena Stanghetta of Sault Ste. Marie; her “adopted family“ of the Petits: Linda, Dave, Phil Jeannae (G.J.), and Paul; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, and her siblings: Lino, Nora Tombari, Lori, Elva Zuccato, and Aldo. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 26, 2006, at ST. MARIA GORETTI CATHOLIC CHURCH, 5313 Flad Ave, Madison, with a visitation one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Oakwood Village, 6201 Mineral Point Road, Madison, WI 53705, or HospiceCare, Inc., 5395 East Cheryl Parkway, Madison, WI 53711. The family wishes to thank the staff of Hebron Oaks at Oakwood Village for their many years of loving care and the staff of the HospiceCare Inc. for their special care.

Dear brother of Fred Romain of Welland, John Romain (Lena) of Timmins, Marylen St- Aubin (late Bob) of South Porcupine, Theresa Gubb of Cochrane, Kathleen Kloehn (Mike) of North Bay, Geraldine Puska of Kapuskasing, Connie Romain of South Porcupine and Elaine Romain. Predeceased by his brother Murray Romain (late Kay). Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, Terri- Lynn and Randy Romain and Breann Edmond.
