It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Emma Godin at Tendercare Nursing Home, on Thursday, October 19, 2006. At the tender age of 94. Beloved wife for 57 years of the late Ralph Godin (pre-deceased in 1994), cherished mother of Carol Grandbois (Gerry) of Moncton N.B., Suzanne Chiasson (David), Bob, Gary (North Bay) and Denis Godin and the late Claudette Particelli (Henry). Dear Grandmother of David Particelli (Lisa) or Moonstone, ON, Lisa Particelli of Toronto, Henry Particelli Jr (Laurie) of Nashville, Tenn., Renee Grandbois White (Colin), Jason Grandbois (Sonia) of Halifax, Peter Godin of Thunder Bay, Colin Godin of South Korea and Dan Chiasson. Great Grandmother of Max and Sebastian, Liam and Emma White and Jonah Grandbois. Dear sister of Florette Hawken (Timmins), Paquerette Desgagne (Dubreuilville) and Helene Blais (Sudbury), Augustin Dubreuil (Solange) of Montreal and Marcel Dubreuil (Yolande) of Sault Ste. Marie and the late Nap and Joachim Dubreuil and the late Theresa Roy. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at O’Sullivan Donnelly Funeral Home Monday, Oct. 23, from 6 to 9 p.m. Funeral mass Tuesday, Oct. 24, at Eglise Ste. Marie du Sault at 11 a.m. with Rev. Norman Fortier officiating, interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Donations to Sault Area Hospital or Tendercare Residents Council would be appreciated. The family wishes to thank the wonderful staff of Tendercare Nursing Home for their T.L.C. and kindness. Emma loved you all and felt loved and cherished in return. We would also like to thank the Doctors and nursing staff in the emergency dept. and 200Y at SAH for their care during mom’s numerous hospital stays since 1999. We will never forget her wonderful smile and generous spirit. She was a gentle caring soul loved by everyone and will be in our hearts forever. We will always miss you mom. Vous allez nous manquer enormement, chere petite maman.

A loving uncle and great uncle to several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brothers Ralph, Bernard, Gerald, Morley and sisters Dorothy, Dolphey, Beulah, Ruby and Gertrude. Friends may call at he BEGGS FUNERAL HOME, Thessalon on Sunday evening October 29, 2006 from 7-9 pm. Funeral service at Little Rapids United Church on Monday October 30 at 11 o'clock. Interment in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Collver Road, Little Rapids Ontario. Donations to the Lighthaven Christian Home or the charity of your choice gratefully accepted.

Special brother of Vappu, Raimo and Seppo all of Finland. Predeceased by his parents, Vaino & Hilja and his brothers Mauri, Pauli and Esko. Brother-in-law of Esko Maakumpu of Sault Ste. Marie and Anja Leivo of Finland. Dear uncle of many nieces and nephews. A private memorial service was held at the Arthur Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Sunday, October 29, 2006 at 7pm. Rev. Jouko Jyrkama officiated. Memorial donations to the SAH Cancer Care Fund or the Ontario Finnish Resthome Foundation.

Cherished Baba of Nancy Best (Dave), Steve Jalak (Bonnie), Wendy Treibmann (Jody), Heather Marandola (Michael), Melissa Maenpaa, Marti Masaro (Derek), Steve Maenpaa (Beth), Mark Semeniuk(Rhonda), Carly Semeniuk and Alex Semeniuk Jr. Great Baba of 10. Dear sister of Florence Pyykonen (late Toivo). Predeceased by brothers Joe, Leo (late Dolly), Jerry (late Helen). Predeceased by her brothers and sisters-in-law Mike Semeniuk, Steve Semeniuk (late Nora), Lena Slobodecki (late Tony), Helen Poluck (late Joe), Olga Kotic (late Bill) and Amelia Verdecchia (late Melio). Survived by Jennie Slobodecki (late Stan) and Mary Harmon (late Harold). Survived by many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Arthur Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Wednesday, November 1, 2006 from 7-9 pm. Funeral Service to be held in the chapel on Thursday, November 2, 2006 at 1pm. Peacefully at the Van Daele Manor on Friday, October 27, 2006 in his 86th year. Beloved husband of Rita (nee Gallo) for 53 years. Loving father of Terry Harpe (Michael). Predeceased by his parents Karel and Anna and brother Karel. Dear brother of Mary. Brother-in-law of Gloria Mandrish (Robert), the late Albin Gallo (Vivian) and the late Rhoda Farentino (late Anthony). Uncle of many nieces and nephews. At Laddie’s request there will be no visitation and funeral. Laddie will always be remembered for his love of the outdoors. Some of his happiest times were spent fishing or simply walking for hours with his camera taking beautiful photographs of the Algoma area. He had a deep fondness for animals and loved his many pets. He will also be greatly missed by Missy Too. Misty (his cat at Van Daele) and his grand dog Indy. Memorial contributions to the SSM Humane Society or to the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family. Laddie’s family would like to thank the staff at Van Daele Manor for the wonderful care that they provided. We will never forget your kindness and support.

Special Pa to Jessica and Quinn Lapish. Son of the late Mae (Houle) and Clifford Mills. Brother of the late infant Wayne and the late Sandra Pigeon (Bob). Son-in-law of Ida and the late Lawrence Mavretic. Brother-in-law of Tony Mavretic (Jan), Lorraine Service (Bob) and Larry Mavretic (Bonnie). Special uncle to Todd Service (Kris) and Laurie DiFilippo (Kip). Fondly remembered by many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Carl will especially be missed by his Golf Buddies, his Casino chum and sister-in-law Lorraine and skiing just won't be the same for his good buddy Shel. Cherished father of Mario (Rosaria), Maria, and Robert (Lorena) Bressan. Precious Nonno to Isaiah Luigi, Stephanie Carmela, Sarah Lorenzina, Liliana, Adriana, Tiana, and Lorenzo Luigi Bressan. Son of the late Attilio and Teresa Bressan. Eldest of ten. Brother of the late Gina (Giovanni) Nardo, Maria (late Rudolpho) Marson, Tarcisio (Natalina) Bressan, Giannina (Giancinto) Mozzon, Iole (late Ettore) Piazza, Luciano (Natalina) Bressan, Giuseppe (Virginia) Bressan, Lucia (Ugo) Santin, and the late Santina Bressan. Special cousin to Rina (late Giovanni) Celant. Son-in-law of the late Lorenzo and Santa Borean. Brother-in-law of Teresina (late Elio) Cesco, Cesira (Umberto) Molinari, the late Lorenzina (late Maggiorino) Trevisan, and Maria (Dino) Santin all of Italy. Loving Zio to many nieces and nephews in Chions, Italy. Luigi was a strong devoted hard working family man. Luigi will be missed by many dear relatives, friends, and neighbours. Luigi was a long time parishioner of the St. Gregory's Parish. Friends may call at the Northwood Funeral Home (942 Great Northern Road 945-7758) on Monday evening from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Funeral Mass at St. Gregory's Church on Tuesday, March 22, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. with Monsignor Victor Amadio officiating. Dear sister of Margaret Rollin (Wilfred), Jean Galipeau (late Gerry), Annette Mireault (late John), Artemise Peterson (Bob) and Edward Camirand (Francine). Precious grandma of Rachel, Michael, Danielle, Cassandra, Adam, Jesse, Krista, Ben, Jordan, Matthew and Troy.
