After a courageous battle Dolly passed away at the Sault Area Hospitals (Plummer Site) on Sunday, November 5, 2006 at the age of 89 years. Beloved wife of the late Gordon. Loving mother of the late Alvin (Joan) of St. Joseph Island, Harvey (Linda) of Sun City, Arizona, Lois Charron (late Denton) of Morinville, Alberta, Roger (Bev) of Prince George B.C., Nettie Peckford (Gordon) of Gander, Newfoundland, and Connie MacDonald (Don Boomhower) of Grand Prairie, Alberta. Fondly remembered by 15 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and by her pride and joy 2 great great grandchildren. Sister of Millie Johnson (late Angus), predeceased by her brothers Edward, Frank, Gordon (late Grace), Wilson (late Myrtle), Lloyd (late Margie), Kyle (late Bessie) and sisters Viola Peer (late Reg) and Sadie Irwin (late Albert). Sister in law of Jean See (Joe) and predeceased by Christina Anderson (late Norman), , Dora James (late Cecil), late Lockie MacDonald (late Ellen) and the late Donald MacDonald (late Margaret). Also survived by many nieces and nephews. passed away suddenly Friday, November 3, 2006 at the age of 59. Beloved wife of Paul Smith of Sault Ste. Marie. Shirley will be forever remembered by children, Paul Smith (Sherry), Lorraine Ben (Robert) and Martin Smith (Brandee). Proud grandmother of Briar Smith, McKenna Smith and Nicolas Ben. She leaves behind her sister Sylvia Nesbitt (Liam, David and Layne), brother David Sandlin (Joni and Jake) and was a beloved aunt of many nieces and nephews. Born in Cullman, Alabama, to the late Winifred and Isaac Sandlin she moved to Belfast, Ireland at the age of 10 and later met her beloved husband Paul Smith, whom she married in 1965 and together they started their family. In the face of tremendous social unrest and adversity, they moved their young family to Alabama in 1972 and ultimately settled in Sault Ste. Marie surrounded by friends and family. Shirley was a devoted and loving daughter, sister, wife, mother and friend to many in the community. Her generosity, compassion and sincerity will be sorely missed. Died suddenly on Saturday, November 4, 2006 in his 74th year. Beloved husband, partner and best friend of Agnes Syrette for 52 years. Loving father of Robert Jr., Bradley (Debbie), Darlene (Kevin), Donald, Ann Marie, Melinda and the late Douglas. Dad and grandfather to Kevin (Nitanis), Jennifer and Lynn. Grandfather to Laura, Desni, Michael (Tausha), Cheristy (Adam), John, Joseph (Leah) and the late Clayton. Great grandfather and best friend to Dion. Great grandfather of Logan, Brett, Ieesha, Kaesin and Jakobi. Dad and great grandfather to Grace. Predeceased by his parents Alex and Florence Syrette. Brother of Laura Louttit (Bill) and predeceased by Joseph and Lawrence Syrette, Irene Lesage, Edna Perreault, Mable Barry and Eva Day. Son in law of the late Vina and Joseph Boissoneau. Peacefully at the General Hospital with her family by her side on Friday, November 3, 2006 at the age of 100. Beloved wife of the late William Young. Loving mother of Gerald (Mary), Bill, Jack, Gayann Davey (Reginald), Christina Behrens (Alfred “Skip”), Reginald (Marsha), the late Shirley McCrea (Don) and the late Ted (late Sandra). Proud grandmother of 26 grandchildren and many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Predeceased by her sisters Margaret Shields (late Jim), Isabelle Wyatt (late Archie), Gwyneth Warren (late George) and brother Stanley Jenkins (late Ivy). Dorothy will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Dorothy was a life member of the White Shrine, Eastern Star Nokomis Chapter #70 and the Victory Rebekka Lodge. 56 years, of Sudbury, who passed away Saturday evening February 12, 2005 at the SRH Laurentian Site. Was born in Newfoundland and married Curtis Kelly in St. Johns, Nfld. in 1981. Rose passed away suddenly and peacefully in her home, into the loving arms of her Saviour and Lord. Beloved and devoted wife of the late Victor Piraino. Treasured mother of Patricia Vaudry (Peter) and Nick Piraino (Mary). Loving sister of Ernie Oliverio (June). Cherished grandmother of Kevin (Fiona), and Kimberly (Mark Bertolo) and proud great grandmother of Natalie Rose and Jimmy.
