MEEKS, Mr. Charles Roy

It is with great sorrow that the family announces the death of Charles Meeks of Iron Bridge in his 88th year. The family does rejoice in the knowledge that Charles has been reunited with his wife of 63 years Nina (Bilton) who predeceased him in 2000. Loving and respected father of Chuck Jr. (Shirley), Norma Lutes (Edward) and Alice Marshall (late Grant). Grandfather of 10, great grandfather of 9 and great great grandfather of 1. He was the son of the late Mickey and Paul David. Fondly remembered by the May and Bilton families. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Charles was a World War 2 veteran and life member of The Royal Canadian Legion, and the Iron Bridge Lions Club. Resting at the Beggs Funeral Home, Thessalon where friends may call on Sunday, January 30, 2005 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. Funeral service in the chapel on Monday, January 31 at 11:00 o'clock. Spring interment in Bellingham Cemetery. Donations to the Blind River District Health Centre or the Sault Area Hospitals Renal Dialysis Unit gratefully accepted.

Loving Mother of Catherine Roney (Peter Lewis) of Victoria, British Columbia, Ken Roney (Joan) of Sault Ste. Marie, Susan Bellefleur (Dean) of Sweden and Tina Bizley (Robert) of Indianapolis, Indiana. Special Nanny to Greg, Mike and Katie, Lori (Jay), Maija (Mika) and Rob, Erik and Natalie, Thomas, and Matthew. Great Grandmother to Bryce and Rachel. Daughter of the late Bernard and Catherine Cushley. Mary is survived by her sisters Greta Nivins and Cathy Baber (Earl). Friends may call at the Arthur Funeral Home and Cremation Centre on Wednesday February 23, 2005 from 11 am until the time of the service in the chapel at 1 pm. Mrs. Joy McPhee officiating. in lieu of flowers a memorial contribution made to the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family. Born in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, England and recently of Sault Ste. Marie, died peacefully in London, Ontario on February 13, 2005 in his 91st year. "Tom" was husband to Mary for nearly 53 years. He was father to David, his wife Emily (Fata) and was grandfather to Sarah and Amanda Batey. "Tom" constructed many homes in the "Soo", a lasting tribute to his craftsmanship and pride as a builder. He was also very happy to "come out of retirement" and assist the Sault Ste. Marie Board of Education in the Construction Technology program at two high schools, times he truly enjoyed, both with students and faculty alike. Peacefully, with family by his side at the Plummer Memorial Hospital on Thursday, February 17, 2005 at the age of 62. Loving husband and soul-mate of wife Gloria for 40 years. Cherished father and best friend of Marc, Dawn and the late Michael Jr. Beloved son of Edith Chaimbrone and the late Angelo Chaimbrone. Big brother to Elaine McKay (David), Randy Chaimbrone (Patti) and Angela Leslie (Dan). Brother-in-law of Jim Mitchell (Eileen), Shirley Fecteau (Claude), Margaret MacMillan (Gordie), Mary Mitchell, Leila Koskenoja (Harry), Terry Mitchell (Donna) and the late Bobby Mitchell (Pat). Michael will always be remembered by his Godson and fishing partner Brad Luzzi (Paula). He will be sadly missed by all his nieces and nephews and fondly remembered by his many friends, neighbours and fishing buddies. 4 June 1924 – 16 February 2005. On Wednesday, February 16, 2005 this wonderful man quietly slipped away. Bill is survived by Jo (Josephine) his loving wife and best friend of 57 years and two cherished children Terry (Lesley) of Windsor and Donna Sanderson (Tim). Proud Papa of Andrea Brown (Michael), Meghan and Craig Sanderson. They are his pride and joy. Survived by his brother John (Norma) of Wichita, Kansas. Predeceased by his brother George (Anne). Son of the late Annie and Harry. Lovingly remembered by his many brothers and sisters in law. Special uncle to many nieces and nephews. He has taught us to live well, love lots and laugh often. We welcome you to join with us as we honour and celebrate this special man at the Arthur Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Monday, February 21, 2005. 1918- 2005 - Jack, born in Scotland (Low Lands) 1918, residing in Aylmer, Québec, died peacefully at his home surrounded by family members. Jack (known as Pappy) will be forever loved and missed. Jack is survived by his wife of 47 years, Madeleine, their children: Peter, Betty-Ann (Mike), Susan Blanchard (Grant), James (Dawn), Dan Mahon; grandchildren: Brandon, Kristen (Scotty), Sarah, Meaghan, Joshua and great grandchild Makyla. John is also survived by sons Gerry (Reggie), John and daughter Gail (Larry). Predeceased by granddaughter Sara. At his request there will be no service.
