ROSS, Dorothy M.
Saturday, January 07, 2006
"Passing on peacefully, with the loving support and permission of her husband Alan, Dorothy M. Ross left this life on Tuesday, January 3, 2006. The loving, caring devotion that was the hallmark of Dorothy and Alan's sixty-two year marriage resounds in their children, Sherry Buie of Sault Ste Marie, Ontario and Hugo Ross of St Albert, Alberta and their respective families. Dorothy willingly set aside a teaching career to anchor Alan through over twenty-two years of RCAF postings from Ontario, to Nova Scotia, to Alberta and back to Ontario. Then, after almost twenty years in Regina, where Dorothy resumed her career as a teacher, Dorothy and Alan settled in her dream home and garden in Victoria. Tulips, geraniums and gladiolas were the pride of Dorothy's gardening interests. The family warmly thanks the Reverend John Macquarrie and Mrs. Norah Fisher, Parish Nurse, for their continuing and loving support. A Celebration of Dorothy's life will be held at St Peter's Lakehill Anglican Church, 3939 St Peter's Road, Victoria, on Monday, January 9, 2006, at 2:00 p.m."
