Suzanne Elizabeth McIlroy (nee Kelly)
Suzanne Elizabeth McIlroy, 31, of Port Sydney, Ontario passed away surrounded by loving family and close friends at Mount Sinai Hospital, Toronto on Friday April 20, 2001 after a seven month struggle with leukemia. Suzanne McIlroy, beloved wife of Sean McIlroy; beloved daughter of Grace Kelly of Oakville and Dr. Jim Kelly and wife, Suzanne of Stratford; beloved daughter-in-law of Barb and Pat McIlroy and Donna Campbell of Huntsville; sadly missed by brothers, Baird and Liam Kelly; fondly remembered by grandparents Eric and Betty McMillan of Stratford, many aunts, uncles, cousins and good friends and her and Sean s Wheaton Terriers, Barley and Hops . Born in Stratford, Suzanne attended Bedford Public School. She graduated from Oakville Trafalgar Secondary School and went on to attain her degree, a Bachelor of Commerce from McMaster University. Suzanne started her career with the Hong Kong Bank of Canada and was most recently a successful personal investment manager with ScotiaBank in Muskoka. Suzanne will be resting at the Billingsley Funeral Home, 430 Ravenscliffe Rd., Huntsville where visitation will take place from 7-9 p.m. Monday April 23. Visitation from 11:00 a.m. will be followed with a funeral service at 12:00 noon both taking place at St. Mary s Catholic Church, 12 Centre St., N., Huntsville on Tuesday April 24. On Wednesday April 25, visitors are most welcome at the W.G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron Street, Stratford from 6-9 p.m. A graveside service is planned from 11:00 a.m. Thursday April 26 at the Avondale cemetery , 4 Avondale Avenue, Stratford. Suddenly at Memorial Hospital, St. Marys on Sunday, June 24, 2001, James (Jim) Abraham Moore of St. Marys formerly of RR 3 Granton in his 75th year. Dear brother of Marjorie Bieber of Lucan, Dorothy Bendall of St. Marys, Vera and Trevor Foster of London, Olla and Peter Fiddy of Woodstock, Evelyn and Tom Pye of Drumbo, Gordon and Connie Moore of Stratford, Joyce and Bruce Hutchison of West Lorne and Marion and Ken Chappel of Stratford. Sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews. The Reverend William C. Nolting
Reverend William C. Nolting of Greenwood Court, Stratford passed away peacefully at the Stratford General Hospital on Saturday, December 29, 2001 in his 95th year. He was born in Hamburg, Germany son of the late Carl Nolting and the former Maria Grigutsch and was ordained at Waterloo Lutheran Seminary in 1936. He served the congregations of New Dundee- Mannheim, Gadshill, North Easthope, Wellesley, Williamsburg-Dunbar, Windsor-Paincourt, Ayton, Montreal and Hamilton retiring in 1972. He later was Pastor-Developer in Port Elgin. Rev. Nolting was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Stratford and a member of the Zippy Zioners. He is the beloved husband of the former Helene Elizabeth Youn whom he married March 9, 1932 in Waterloo; the loving father of Joan Nolting, Winnipeg, Kathryn Karr and her husband Clarence, Nanaimo, B.C., David Nolting and his wife Diane, Kingston. Rev. Nolting is also survived by seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Besides his parents he was predeceased by a son William Nolting, a daughter Marjorie Nuhn and two sisters Marie McLellan and Helene Winter. The family will receive friends at the W.G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron Street, Stratford on Wednesday, January 2 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A family service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, January 3 at 1:30 p.m. with interment in Avondale cemetery followed by a public memorial service at Zion Lutheran Church, Stratford at 3 p.m. Bishop Michael Pryse and Reverend Douglas Reble will officiate. Helen M. Rudy
Helen Margaret Rudy passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 13, 2002 at her residence, the Maples Home for Seniors, Tavistock. Helen was born in Tavistock on November 24, 1916, a daughter of the late Josiah Rudy and the former Mary Ann Wilker. Helen will be lovingly remembered by her sisterin-law Doris Rudy of Tavistock. A special aunt to Robert and Joan Rudy of Tavistock, Kathryn Ann and Laurie Meadows of London, John and Sylvia Rudy of Paris. Helen will be sadly missed by her great-nieces and nephews Jarrett, Jensen and Heidi, Carey, Emily, David, Katrina and Alexander. Predeceased by her sister Ethel, brothers David and wife Dorothy and Robert. Helen was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Sebastopol where she was a member of the ELW, a choir member, a Sunday Church School teacher, a Senior Fellowship member, a member of the Tavistock Women s Institute and had been a school teacher in South Easthope Township for over 38 years. Helen was also a key person in organizing projects for Canadian Lutheran World Relief. Mr. Arthur John Smale, 82, of RR 2 Staffa passed away at Seaforth Community Hospital on Sunday, June 9, 2002. Beloved husband of Esther B. (Hocking) Smale.
