Elizabeth Schultz (nee Nafziger)
Elizabeth Schultz passed away on Monday, February 10, 2003 at Knollcrest Lodge, Milverton. Elizabeth resided in Milverton and was formerly of RR 1 Milverton. She was born 79 years ago in Mornington Township and was the daughter of the late Moses and Ella (Schwartzentruber) Nafziger. Elizabeth was a member of Poole Mennonite Church, where she was an active member of the Sewing Circle and also where she and Wilfrid were on the visitation committee for many years. She enjoyed quilting and gardening. Beloved wife of Wilfrid Schultz whom she married October 1, 1947. Dear mother of Ron and his wife Marilyn of Milverton. Sadly missed by her grandsons Jeff and his friend Becky Jones, Tim and his friend Kelly Gracey. Also remembered by her sisters and brother Freida Wagler of Baden, Vera and her husband Mahlon Zehr of Milverton, Allan and his wife Esther Nafziger of Brunner, Ellen and her husband Irvin Jantzi of Wellesley and brother-in-law Elroy Schultz of Milverton and sister-in-law Erma and her husband John Spenler of Brunner. Elizabeth was predeceased by her sisters Clara and her husband Val Gerber, Amanda and her husband Norman Erb, sisters-in-law Emma and her husband John Poole, Emma Schultz, brothers- in-law John Nafziger, Clayton Wagler, Gordon and his wife Clara Schultz, Clayton and his wife Erma Schultz. Family and friends may call at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 7 Spencer Street, Milverton today from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will take place on Wednesday, February 12, 2003 at 2 p.m. at Poole Mennonite Church. Pastor Paul Dyck to officiate. Interment in Poole Mennonite Church cemetery. At the Lambton Hospitals Group Norman Street Site, Sarnia, on Sunday, December 7, 2003. Andy Innes, 70 years, of Wyoming. Beloved husband of Barb (nee Bent). Dear father of Terry and Becky Innes of Corunna, Doug and Cathy Innes of Memphis, Tennessee and Nancy and Ted McLean of Mississauga. Dear grandfather of Megan and Cory Innes and Michael and Sean McLean. Dear brother of John and Vida Mae Innes and Allan and Carol Innes, all of Embro, Marg and Bill McLeod of Kintore, Joyce and Lyle Smith of Stratford and Mary and Jim McArthur of Strathmore, Alberta. Dear brother-in-law of Joe and Ellen Wallace of Thamesford and Don and Lois Bent of Sault Ste. Marie. Andy was a member and past- president of both the Wyoming Lions Club and the Western Ontario Steam Threshers Association and a retiree of Dome Petroleum. Visitation will be received on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Wyoming Chapel, Broadway Street, Wyoming, where the funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 10, 2003 at 11 a.m. Interment in North Embro cemetery at 2:30 p.m., Wednesday. Eldon Henry Doerr
Mr. Eldon Henry Doerr, age 71, passed away suddenly at his home in Orillia on Thursday, December 20, 2001. He was born in Ellice Township, son of the late William Doerr and the former Caroline Regele. Dear brother of Walter and wife Venephe of London, Emmanual and his wife Bernice of Cambridge, sisters Anna Alles of Tavistock and Loretta Yundt of Stratford. Also remembered by sistersin-law Winifred Doerr and Jean Doerr as well as nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brothers Edward, Aaron and sister Margaret Beatty and brothers-in-law Russell Beatty, William Alles and Earl Yundt. Arrangements have been made by the Mundell Funeral Home, Orillia. There will be no funeral home visitation. Cremation has taken place. Spring interment in Rostock cemetery. Ray Thornton
passed away suddenly on February 9, 2002 in his 63rd year. He was born on August 9, 1939 in Stratford. Ray is the beloved husband of Shirley, Cambridge, father to Melodyann and husband Colin of Cambridge, Julie and husband John of Cambridge, Shawn and girlfriend Sinead of Toronto, stepfather to Susan and Marc of Chicago, Amy and boyfriend Todd of Cambridge, Jenna and Brad of Cambridge. Grandpa of Adam, Ashley, Jazlyn and Luc. Predeceased by his parents James and Kathleen Thornton of Stratford. Ray was a wonderful motivator and teacher to his family, supportive and guiding in all his children s endeavors. With big hands and the largest of hearts, he never missed an opportunity to lend them both to his friends and strangers alike. The true soul mate and most caring husband. His presence and spirit will remain forever with every life he touched. He is dearly loved and will be sadly missed. Ronald Wettlaufer
Ronald Wettlaufer of Tavistock passed away in the People Care Health Care Centre, Tavistock on Saturday, October 26, 2002. He was born at Cassel in East Zorra Township, Oxford County, a son of the late James Wettlaufer and the former Margaret Kaufman. Ronald was a member of Grace United Church in Tavistock. In his younger years he had played hockey for the Cassel Black Shirts and the Tavistock Wa Waxers. He was a carpenter and painter for most of his life. Ronald is survived by his wife, the former Jeanne Elizabeth Lemp whom he married at Tavistock on November 3, 1949; three daughters Susan Shipe and her husband Mark of Hopewell, New Jersey, Debbie-Lu Arnett and her husband Mark of London, Sandra Varey and her husband Dennis of Atwood; six grandchildren Amy and Krista Shipe, Cecilia, Michelle and Colton Arnett and Chris Varey; one brother John Wettlaufer of Paris; three sisters Dorothy Parkinson of Belleville, Mae Yausie and her husband Lorne of Tavistock, Eileen Gillespie of Innerkip and his sister-in-law Mary Lemp of Kitchener. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his brother Donald Wettlaufer; his sister-in- law Marjorie Wettlaufer; his brothers-in-law George Parkinson and Aubrey Gillespie and his nephew Bill Wettlaufer. Relatives and friends will be received in the Francis Funeral Home, 77 Woodstock Street, North, Tavistock on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., where the funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 29, 2002 at 2 p.m. The Rev. Marjorie Lindsay
Mrs. Marjorie Grace Lindsay, age 81, of Spruce Lodge, 639 West Gore Street, Stratford passed away peacefully at the Stratford General Hospital on Saturday, December 14, 2002. Born in Fergus, Ontario, she was the daughter of the late James Carlaw and the former Grace Boulding. She lived in Fergus and Hamilton, coming to Stratford three years ago. She was predeceased by her first husband Robert Shepherd and her second husband Donald Lindsay. She is survived by her son Robert Shepherd and his wife Janet, Stratford; grandchildren Linda Pigeon and her husband Mike, Stratford and Jim Shepherd and his wife Brenda, Kitchener and great-grandchildren Tyler Pigeon and Andrew and David Shepherd. Also survived by a sister Myrtle Bellamy and her husband Walter, Fergus, niece and nephews Shirley Patterson, Jim Bellamy, Don Bellamy and their families. There will be no funeral home visitation. The funeral service will be held at the W.G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron Street, Stratford on Tuesday, December 17, 2002 at 2 p.m. John Patterson, pastoral co ordinator of Greenwood Court will officiate. Mrs. Mildred Christine Hammond, 82, of Mitchell passed away at the Hillside Manor Nursing Home, R.R. 5 Stratford on Monday, November 27, 2000. Beloved wife of Gordon E. Hammond of Mitchell. Dear stepmother of Joan Hammond of Napanee; dear sister of Jean Crossan of London; dear sister-in-law of Mary Diegel of Stratford and Alice Diegel of Mitchell. Also surviving are a number of nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Henry E. and Emma (Eisler) Diegel, brothers Dalton, Wilfred and Henry Diegel and sisters Lillian Josling, Gladys Harris, Della Ahrens, Bertha Elliott and a sister in infancy. Mr. W. John (Jack) Pestell of Monkton passed away peacefully at Stratford General Hospital on Monday June 25, 2001 in his 70th year. Survived by his wife the former Lillian Mae Maddess, his family Garry and wife Colleen of Monkton, Ken and wife Bonnie of Lucan, Bonnie and husband Larry Krieger of Capreol, Lynda and friend Gary Carpenter of Mitchell, Patti and husband Jerry Fuhr of Mitchell, Brian and wife Darlene of Monkton, Doug and wife Paula of Acton, Murray and fiancee Sheri Blake of Monkton, 16 grandchildren, his mother Elizabeth Pestell of Monkton. Sisters Mary Strachan of Listowel, Lorraine and Tom Dewar of Atwood, Delores and Andy Buchanan of RR 4 Listowel, Faye and Paul Welsh of St. Clements. Brothers Ray and Elaine of Bornholm, Larry and Arlene of Goderich and Bob of Monkton. A sister-in-law Pauline Pestell of Orillia Several nieces and nephews.
