passed away peacefully at the F. J. Davey Home on Thursday, October 25, 2007 at the age of 84. Beloved wife of the late Thomas. Much loved mother of Tom (Paula) (late Deidre), John (Elizabeth) and Margaret. Cherished Grandma of Jamie, Stephanie, Sandra, Christine, and Laura. Special “G.G” of five. Predeceased by two brothers and two sisters. Friends may call at the Arthur Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Monday, October 29, 2007 from 9 a.m. until the time of service in the chapel at 11 a.m. Rev. Munroe Scott officiating. Loved mother of Marjorie Monette (George) of Gordon Lake, Ontario and Dorothy Ambeault of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. Cherished grandmother of Joe, Michelle and Sarah Monette and Derek Frech. Great grandmother of 7. Daughter of the late Fred and Maria Olar. Dear sister of the late Bill Olar, late John Olar (Dorothy) of BC, Dorothy Burke (Albert), Paul Olar (Pat), Pauline Pallot (late Lawrence), Charles Olar (late Leona) all of Goulais River, Ontario, Alex Olar (Dorothy), George Olar (Ruth), Dan Olar (late Gertrude), late Walter Olar (Isobel), Anne Derkach (Ed), late Marion Olar, Carolyne Strong (late Walter) all of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Eli Olar (Fay), Nick Olar (Janice) all of Searchmont, Ontario, Nellie Loney (Stan) of Bancroft, Ontario and Harry Olar of Mississauga, Ontario. Predeceased by brothers-in-law Bill (late Agnes), Wib (late Dorothy), Earl (late Doreen) and Russel (Evelyn) Ambeault and sisters-in-law Gladys Premo (late George), Violet Jackson (late Ken), Ethel Walton (late Tom), Joyce Thompson (Les), Jeanette Dechaine (late Tom) and survived by brother-in-law Percy Ambeault (late Alta). Helen will be fondly remembered by her many, many nieces and nephews. It is with deepest sorrow that we announce the death of Michael Wilfred Punch of Toronto in his 54th year. He was a long time resident of Sault Ste. Marie. Michael died suddenly at St. Michael's Neuro Trauma Intensive Care Unit, Toronto on the morning of Wednesday, October 24, 2007. He is survived by his wife Donna (nee Sunstrum) and his children Kyle (Lauren Frost) and Rachel (Bryan Halford). Dear son of Katherine and the late Wilfred. Brother of Mary Jane Yorke (John), Suzanne Olsen (late Joel) of Sault Ste. Marie and James (Susan) of Elliot Lake. He will be remembered as son-in-law of Donald and Vange Sunstrum of Espanola. Brother-in-law of Eric Sunstrum (Cynthia) of Ottawa, Sheila Miron (Paul) of Orangeville and Jane Hale (Brad) of Espanola. Uncle Michael's presence and humour will be deeply missed by his many nieces, nephews and other family members. Friends may call at the Northwood Funeral Home (942 Great Northern Road 945-7758) on Friday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral and committal service will be held in the Chapel on Saturday, October 27, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. Cremation to follow. Fortier cure des paroisses Ste-Marie du-Sault et Immaculate Heart of Mary a Garden River, maman laisse dans le deuil neuf autres enfants: Gaetan (Ann), Cecile Quesnell (Jed), Lillian Luzzi (Jerry), Marilyn Nanne (Gerry), Jacqueline Heil (Ed), Jerry (Dale), Pauline Tuckett (Ric), Marcel (Camille), Maryann Kendrick (Ritchie). With broken hearts we announce the death of our remarkable and courageous Mother and Memere,Valeda Fortier (Roy) on October 19, 2007.
