Suddenly and peacefully surrounded by his family at the Sault Area Hospital, General Site on Friday, September 28, 2007 in his 80th year. Loving husband and best friend of Olive for 56 years. Devoted caring father of Robert (Carole), Marilyn Irwin-McLean, Brian (Carole), David (Linda) and predeceased by his son Thomas John (late Joanne) and his grandson, Derek. Very special, plain “ole” grandpa of Josiah (Bobbi-Jo), Eric, Elizabeth, Evan, Brianna, Rylee, Andre, Brent, Holly, Tommy, Jeff (Amy) and Tyler. Brother of the late Roy (late Ruth) and the late Harvey. Brother-in-law of Pat Nelson (Frank), Joan Nelson (Redverse), John Wilson (late Mary), Roy Wilson (late Anne) and Richard Wilson. Sadly missed by Sherry Wilson and Bill McLean. Special uncle of many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Arthur Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Wednesday, October 3, 2007 from 11 AM until time of memorial service in the chapel at 1 PM. Rev. Bruce McLeish officiating. Interment Greenwood Cemetery. Reception at 27 Field Square at 3 PM. Memorial contributions to the SAH Trust Fund, Group Health Centre Trust Fund or A.R.C.H. would be appreciated by the family.

passed away suddenly at his home in Wawa, ON at the age of 83 years on Thursday, September 20th, 2007. Cherished uncle of Sylvia Scott (Roy). A very special friend of Angeline, the late Armand Desbiens and Shannon Desbiens-Alton. He will be sadly missed by many friends in Wawa, Chapleau and Missanabie, where he lived for MANY years. Friends called at the Gilmartin Funeral Home, Wawa, ON on Wednesday, September 26th, 2007 officated by Rev. Bonnie Rayner. Interment at Slumberland Cemetary, Missanabie, ON in Spring 2008.

Beloved mother, of Don, John (Sinikka), Bonnie Hargreaves (Ken), Gerry (Debbie), and Janice Hewer (Mike). Dorothy will be sorely miss by 12 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren and her special niece Donna Kaye Thibeault (Roger). We regret to announce the sudden but peaceful passing of Elda at the Sault Area Hospital on Thursday, September 27, 2007 at the age of 84. Daughter of the late Pasquale and Vittoria Stanghetta. Former wife of the late Victor Pianosi. Beloved sister of Mel Stanghetta (Sue) and the late Adal Signoretti (Tilio), Olga Paris (Dan) of Flint, Michigan, Hugo (Sparky) Stanghetta, Naldo Stanghetti, Remo Stanghetta (Edith) and Mike Stanghetta (Marie). Sister-in-law of Freda Stanghetti and Rena Stanghetta. Much loved aunt of 25 nieces and nephews who cherished her charisma, her love of life and ability to listen and be part of all their lives. Loving great aunt and great, great aunt to many nieces and nephews. Elda spent part of her life in Sudbury, Ontario and Flint, Michigan. She returned to Sault Ste. Marie where she enjoyed the special companionship of her brother Mel, his wife, Sue and her nephew, David Stanghetta. Elda loved playing cards, conversation, politics, travelling, reading and any discussion that required an opinion or comment. Elda embraced her religion and prayed for her relatives and her friends that God would guide and direct them in a positive way. In keeping with Elda’s wishes, there will be no visitation. Funeral mass will be celebrated at Precious Blood Cathedral on Monday, October 1, 2007 at 1 pm. Monsignor Bernard Burns officiating. Interment in Oaklawn Cemetery, Pickford, Michigan. For those who wish, memorial contributions to the New Sault Area Hospital Foundation or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.

Mother of Graham (Dace) of Invermere, BC, Andrew of Ottawa and Wesley of Thunder Bay. Daughter of Morley and Edythe Moore. Daughter-in-law of Edith Tabaczuk (late Alex). Sister of Ted Moore (Sylvie), Stephan Moore (late Darlene), Ken Moore and Morley Moore. Sister-in-law of Alex Tabaczuk and Linda Nelson (Colin). Friends may call at the Arthur Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Monday, October 1, 2007 from 6 – 9 pm. Funeral service to be held in the chapel on Tuesday, October 2, 2007 at 11 am. passed away at Algoma Manor, Thessalon on Wednesday September 12, 2007. Murray Cliffe in his 89th year, beloved husband of the late Dorothy. Loving father of Terrence ( Janet ) of Sault Ste. Marie. Proud grandfather of Lucas of Sault Ste. Marie and Andrew ( Jennifer ) of Wawa. Survived by his sister Dorothy Reid ( late Nelson ) and predeceased by brother Cedric ( late Jean ) and sister Marie ( late Thomas ). Extended family Dennis and Linda Devoe and family. Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters-in-law. A special thank you to his niece Marlene Bailey who helped us on many occasions to care for her uncle Murray. The family would also like to thank their family and friends for all the love, support and prayers shown to them during Murray’s decline. Our deepest appreciation for the excellent care and compassion that Murray received from his caregivers in the Men’s Special Care Unit of Algoma Manor. A memorial service will be held at The Kingdom Hall, 742 Third Line East, Sault Ste. Marie on Sunday September 16, 2007 at 7pm, with his grandson Lucas officiating. Arrangements entrusted to Beggs Funeral Home, Thessalon.

Arnold will be remembered by sisters-in-law Dorothy and Lucille and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his brothers and sisters Rose Nadeau (George), Leonard (Marie), Aurize Lachance (John), Leona Bowser (Earl), Raymond and Herbie. Brother of the late Gabriel (Beverly), Mary Devoe (late Bud), Tony (Colleen), Jenny LaPlaunt (Jerry) and the late Joey (Joanne). Brother-in-law of the late Andrea Penno (Roy), Roberta Alexander (Bob), Marlene Prokopchuck (Nick), Janice Strom (Tom) and Sheila Marshall (late Duncan). He will be sadly missed by his good friends Jack and Peggy and all of his friends at Borden Lake. Pat will also be missed by his babies JoJoe and Nitro. Family and friends may call at the Northwood Funeral Home (942 Great Northern Road 945-7758) on Friday evening from 6:00 to 9:00 pm. Funeral and committal service in the Chapel on Saturday, September 15, 2007 at 1:00 pm with Reverend Krizystof Niewinski officiating.
