Peacefully at the Tendercare Nursing Home on Thursday, February 8, 2007 at the age of 73. Beloved husband of Sylvia for over 40 years. Father of Dawn Frier (Bill) and Chris (Angele). Proud Grandpa of Rilley Matheson, Alysha Casola and Kiiana Casola. Dear brother of John (Cecile), Boofy (Norma), Albert (Marlene), Margaret Killoran (Andy Benson), Robert (Silvana) and the late Jim (Marie). Fred will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Arthur Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Sunday, February 11, 2007 from 6-9 pm. Funeral service in the chapel on Monday, February 12, 2007 at 11 am. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Memorial contributions to the Ontario Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated. passed away peacefully Wednesday, February 7, 2007 at the age of 61. Beloved husband of the late Shirley Smith of Sault Ste. Marie. Paul will be remembered and sorely missed by his children Paul Smith (Sherry), Lorraine Ben (Robert) and Martin Smith (Brandee). Proud grandfather of Briar Smith, McKenna Smith and Nicolas Ben. He leaves behind many siblings in Canada, Ireland, England and Australia. He has a special place in his heart for his sister in law Sylvia Nesbitt and brother-in-law Liam Nesbitt and his brother-in-law David Sandlin (Joni and Jake). He was also a beloved uncle to many nieces and nephews. Born in Belfast, Northern Ireland, Paul met his wife Shirley Sandlin, whom he married in 1965 and together they started their family. In the face of tremendous social unrest and adversity, they moved their young family to Alabama in 1972 and ultimately settled in Sault Ste. Marie surrounded by their friends and family. Paul was a devoted and loved brother, husband, father and friend to many in the community. His sense of humour, generosity and kind spirit will be forever missed. An intimate gathering of family and close friends will be held at the Arthur Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Monday, February 12, 2007 from 11 am until time of funeral service in the chapel at 1 pm. Monsignor Victor Amadio officiating. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Donations to the New SAH Fund are greatly appreciated.

At Sault Area Hospital (Plummer) on Friday February 2, 2007. Geraldine Burns, beloved wife of the late Robert (Bert) Burns and loving mother of Janice Burk (Gerry) and Bob Burns (Emma Jean). Grandmother of Chris and Kim Burk and Rachel and Bryan Burns. Sister of the late Alice Kent, late Marie Morgan, late Dorothy Hrynuik (Mitch) and the late William Hammond (Pat). Sister-in-law to Jim Burns (Amelia), Al Burns, George Burns (late Delores) and Rae Burns (Sharon). Family and friends are invited to attend a funeral mass at St. Gerard Majella Church, Pentagon Blvd., on Monday February 5, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. George Lapierre C.S.B. officiating. The family will receive friends at a reception in the Parish Hall immediately following the service. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. The Burns family would like to express their gratitude to Sister Margaret Dodge and Dr. Sharon Buehner for their kind support during Geraldine's illness. Dear brother of Joyce McMillan (late Duncan) of Sault Ste. Marie, Larry Dupuis of Ottawa, Richard Dupuis (Gale) of Boca Raton, Florida and Robert Dupuis of Ottawa. Uncle of Rick (Susan), Chris (Anita) and Greg McMillan (Christina). Cherished father of Sarah. Devoted son of Charlie and Lynne Flood and son-in-law to Chuck and Donna Febbraro. Predeceased by grandparents Clark and Marion Flood and Bill and Goldie Minion. Special grandson to Ernie and Judy Febbraro, Meryle and the late Richard Houle and loving great-grandson to Nana Rosa. Dear brother to Glenn (Kristen) and Mark. Esteemed brother-in-law to Anna Febbraro. Playful uncle to Connor, Alexander, Asia and Allie. Colin will be sadly missed by his uncles, Gerald, the late Harry (June), Lawrence (Helen) and his aunt Ruth Grexton (Ken), the late Diane Paige (late Bill), Dean Minion (Brenda), Janet Baraluk (Bill) and Joyce Nanni (Ray). Colin will be fondly remembered by many cousins, friends and co-workers. Proud and loving grandfather of Clarke, Cailin and Rosemary LaPrairie, Brooke and Marc Suurna, Kaitlin and Devan Turner, Gabrielle, Etienne and Hanna Bonneville, Jake, Olivia and Isabella Gaudet. Fondly remembered by his sisters and many nieces and nephews. Dear brother of Connie, Gary (Deena), late Otto and the late Melvin. Son-in-law of Mildred Morbin. Bruce will be sadly missed by his many close friends.
