Peacefully and surrounded by her family and friends after a courageous battle at the Sault Area Hospital on Wednesday, November 5, 2008 at the age of 51 years. Dear daughter of Ivie Gavin and the late Alan Ivan (Pete) Gavin. Dear sister of Jeffery Gavin (Teresa), Dawn Valiquette, Peter Gavin (Miriam) and the late Robert (Alan Jr.) Gavin. She will be fondly remembered by her nieces and nephews: Nicole David (Zach), Nathan and Jaimee Valiquette, Tyler (Melanie) and Bryce Gavin, Lauren, Lance and Amanda Gavin. Beverly will be sadly missed by her best friend Sue. Friends are invited to visit at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses (742 Third Line East) on Saturday, November 8, 2008 from 6:00 p.m. until time of memorial service at 7:00 p.m. with Mr. William Clarke officiating. Memorial donations made to the Watch Tower World Wide Work, SAH Palliative Care or Cancer Care Fund would be appreciated by the family. Special thanks to the nurses in the Oncology and Palliative Care Units, Dr. S. Spadafora, Dr. S. Febbraro, Dr. D. Walde and Dr. D. Norris, Rita Mannarino and co-workers at Life Lab. Beloved father of Corey (Shirley) and Juanita (Marcel) MacGuigan. Grandfather of Scott and Catherine. Son of the late William and Joyce MacGuigan and dear brother of Carol Barban (Alfred), Mary Brazeau (Marcel) and the late William MacGuigan. Private funeral services took place followed by cremation and interment in the family plot at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Loving father of John (Mary), Brian (Cheryl), Versa Wilson (Dave) and Glen (Jody). Special Dad to Rick, Connie, Darlene and Marc. Loving Grandpa of Mike (Mirella) and Michelle (Scott). He will be remembered always as Papa to Adrienne, Holly, Nathan, Alyssa, Joshua, Jonathon, Rachelle, Jeff, Kevin, Joseph, Jeff, Beth and Lindsey. Great-grandpa of Kyle, Lauren, Colin, Aiden and Riley. Son of the late Ray and Daisy Rowat. Dear brother of Marie Nokes (Jim) and Neil (Edna). Predeceased by his sisters Betty Stone, Minerva Rains and Edith Rowat and brothers Percy and Bob. Brother-in-law of Bessie McEdwards, Patricia Trumble and Jim Thomson (Patricia). Predeceased by Linda Evans, Alice Stanton, Rose McFarlane, Grace Carey, Betty Emery, Florence Burge and Harvey Thomson. Gordon will be lovingly remembered by his many nieces, nephews and the countless friends who were like family.
