TAYLOR, Margaret (Lennie)
Friday, October 10, 2008
Unexpectedly, in the early hours of Friday October 10, 2008, our beautiful straight-talking feisty mother and grandmother left this world. She left us on her terms and with no need for final goodbyes. Predeceased by her husband Steve (1995). True friend and mother of Susan of London, Ontario and Sharon of Sault Ste. Marie. Very proud grandmother of Kyle of London, Ontario, Seamus of Inssbruck, Austria and Graeme of Calgary who remained very close to her in spite of the miles. Sister of the late David Lennie, the late Lis Mackinnon, the late Peter Lennie, Jessie McGilvary, the late Andrew Lennie, John Lennie, Nan Duval and Gladys and Jack Campbell all of Sudbury. Perhaps it was being the youngest of 9 children that gave Marg her strong spirit and willingness to speak out. She will be remembered by many nieces and nephews including Jim and Janice Giles of Sudbury. Loyal and loving friend to many, including the four-legged variety who met her on walks in Bellevue Park. She spoke her truth and lived her life with compassion. Marg wanted no funeral service, so we are planning a party to celebrate the life of the women who touched us all. Details will follow. If you wish, a memorial donation may be made to the Salvation Army or the Soup Kitchen (two organizations that Marg admired for the fine work they do) in her memory. Or, just for today, honour your own voice, speak your truth, lend a hand to make a quiet difference. She would love that. (Arrangements entrusted to the Northwood Funeral Home 942 Great Northern Road 945-7758).
