It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Anna Woitas on October, 7, 2008 at the F.J. Davey Home with family by her side at the age of 84. Beloved wife of the late Petras Petkevicius and the late Walter Woitas. Much loved mother of Peter Petkevicius, Jeanine Aleksander (Kris), Wanda Thibodeau (Donald), Mary Burton and Susan Bauer (George). Cherished Babcia of Rick Petkevicius, Dan Petkevicius (Starr), Marc Aleksander (Michelle), Teresa Petkevicius (Laurie), Candice Burton, Jason Burton (Kristen), Chenelle Thibodeau (Joshua), Camille Thibodeau, Jakob Bauer and Jessica Bauer. Special great Babcia of Taylor and Julian. Daughter of the late Kasimir and Prakseda Topolski. Dear sister of Stenia Lubas (Chester), late Eugenusz Topolski (Irena) and the late Barbara Wielkopolan. She leaves behind many nieces, nephews and cousins in Poland and Canada. It is with joy that our mother is now at peace in the loving arms of our Lord. Peacefully at the General Hospital with her family by her side on Monday, October 6, 2008 in her 85th year. Beloved wife of the late Oscar Vandette. Loving mother of Jeanette Heino (Charlie McAlpine), Art (Karen), Peter (Liz), Jackie Gardner (Sterling), Maurice (Lana Giovanatti), Diana Vandette and the late Jean Vandette. Proud grandmother of Danny, Kim, Greg, Jeff, Michelle, Laura, James, Scott, Nicholas and Joshua. Great grandmother of six and great great grandmother of two. Virginia is predeceased by her brothers Paul, Jerry, Johnny, Art and Walter and by her sisters Donelda and Rose. With sorrow we announce the passing of David F. Wright at the Algoma Residential Community Hospice on Sunday October 5, 2008 He will forever be loved by his daughter Elizabeth McLelan (Gary) and his grandchildren Anna, Tim and Fraser. Beloved son of the late Hugh and Harriet Wright and dear brother of Margaret Peterson (Al), Jack Wright and the late Grace Wright. David will be remembered as a teacher and Principal for the Algoma District School Board and particularly for establishing the William Wright Memorial Pet Cemetery on St. Joseph Island. A Memorial Service will be held at St. Peters Anglican Church, Douglas St., Friday October 10 th at 2p.m. with Rev. John Swain officiating. Cremation has taken place and interment in the family plot at Greenwood Cemetery will take place at a later date. In memoriam donations to the Canadian Down Syndrome Society or ARCH would be appreciated. The Wright family would particularly like to express their gratitude to Margaret Peterson, Kim Bowerman, Beth Grimard, the staff at ARCH and Rev. Bill Stadnyk for the care, compassion and support shown to them and to David during his long illness.

Born November 29, 1919 in Brighton, Ontario. Peacefully at the Sault Area Hospital on Monday October 6, 2008 in his 89th year. Predeceased by his parents John Bidwell Morgan and Frances (nee Way) and stepmother Nora (nee Richards ). Also predeceased by his wives Loreen (nee Dixon) and Margaret (nee Keasley). Father of the late Douglas (Connie) and friend Janice and Bruce (Linda) of Thessalon. Grandfather of Jamie (Star), Heather (Cory), Mike (Paula) and Eric (Heidi). Great grandfather to Tiffany, Brett, MacKenzie, Jacob and Maxwell. Predeceased by his brother Clayton and sister Eleanor. Survived by his sister Ruth Dutton. Following the death of his father John B. Morgan, Hubert was President and CEO of Midway Lumber Mills and Birchland Veneer for many years, before his sons and grandsons assumed the positions. According to Hubert's wishes cremation has taken place. A private service will be held at the Beggs Funeral Home, Thessalon. Interment in Pine Grove Cemetery. Donations to the New Sault Area Hospital, The Algoma Manor Redevelopment Fund or the charity of your choice gratefully accepted. The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the Nursing Staff of the 3rd floor "Y Wing" of the General Hospital and Dr David Poitevin for the excellent care that Hubert received. Suddenly, on Friday October 3, 2008, at Sault Area Hospital ( General), John M. Murphy passed away with his family by his side. “Big John” will be sadly missed by his wife of 58 years, Gladys (nee Corbier) Murphy, his daughters; Dawn Cloutier (Paul Fish), Ellen Manton (Keith), Ann Murphy, Kelly Trainor (Jim) and the late Gail Krajewski (late Vic). Proud grandfather of Andrea and Christopher (Sophie) Cloutier, Elizabeth Slute (Robert), Victoria Hogenkamp (John), John Manton (Brooke) and Tracy Manton, Thomas and Kathryn Trainor. Great grandfather of Kelsey Rodgers and Angela Manton, Dear brother of Em Harrington (Roy), Wilma Deschamp (late Clarence and late Wallace Murphy). John was brother in law to Mary and Floyd Jenkins, David and Ann Corbier, the late Diane and Willard Contois, late Allen (Joan), late Daniel, late Garnet, late Fred (Fay) and the late Donald(Anne) Corbier. He will be missed by his Godson, Les Contois. John leaves behind many nieces and nephews, all of whom he loved in his own special way. Funeral Services took place Sunday October 6th at O’Sullivan Donnelly Chapel with Rev. Eric Pannike officiating. Cremation will be followed by interment in his home town of Midland Ontario at a later date. Grandpa you will be sadly missed. You were the most generous and loving person. After a long courageous battle with cancer, we regret to announce the passing of our dear mother Deanne Tos (nee DesChene, Manzutti). Special companion and wife to Stanley Tos. Deanne was married to her first husband the late Jack Manzutti for many years. Cherished mother to Faith Dunlop, Renold Manzutti (Gail), Terry Manzutti (late Cheryl), Jaqueline Manzutti, Angela Nowak, Linda Lidstone (Russell), Amanda Manzutti-Belanger (Michael), Trevor Tos (Noreen). Special grandmother to Todd Manzutti and loving grandmother to 17 wonderful grandchildren and to 15 great-grandchildren. Daughter of Althea DesChene and the late Lawrence DesChene. Sister to Larry (Donna), Ned (Barbara), Sharon (Wilbert), Brenda (Ray), Bernard, Randy (Beverly). Predeceased by her sister Marsha. Deanne will be missed by many brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws, nieces and nephews.
