passed away peacefully at the Plummer Memorial Hospital on Monday, September 1, 2008 at the age of 74 years. Loving husband of Barbara (Newton) and cherished father of Dede. Dear brother of Flo Viita (late Henry) of Sault Ste. Marie, Gill Robertson (Ted) of Hull, Quebec, Theresa Maloney (late Bernard), Louise Alexander of Sudbury and Wilfred (Kay) of Peterborough. Predeceased by his sister Eleonore (Faye) and his brothers Rene (late Bernice), Guy (Gwen), Vincent and Gerry (Miriam). Brother-in-law of Fred Newton of New Hampshire, Sue Rice (Larry) and Dorothy Dansdill (Phil) of Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. Lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Thank you to the girls on the Fourth Floor for the compassion and care given to Cap. Cap was employed by Algoma Steel Corporation until he retired to follow his dream of having his own golf course - Superior View Golf Course. Cap was also a long-time member and past president of the Sault Golf Club. A service for the family will be held on Thursday September 4, 2008 at 11:30 a.m. with Reverend Munroe Scott officiating. Friends may call at the Northwood Funeral Home (942 Great Northern Road 945-7758) on Thursday, September 4, 2008 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Memorial donations made to the Sault Area Hospital would be appreciated by the family.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother and grandmother. Jeanette passed with grace and dignity on Monday, September 1, 2008. Beloved wife of 52 years to Bill. Loving and caring mother of Brenda McPhee (Andy), Peggy Hannah (Joey) and John Halcrow (Wendy). Greatly loved grandmother of Lee Tisdall-McPhee (Cindy), Tiana Alton (Shawn), Ben Halcrow (Jessica), Nicholas Hannah and Ashley Hannah. Devoted great-grandmother of Mackenzie Alton, Olivia Alton and Aisha Tisdall-McPhee. Special gram to Kyrsten Halcrow and Haley Palmer. Cherished sister to Clayton MacDonald (Betty), Ellis McDonald (Marjorie), Jim McDonald (Pat) and Mac MacDonald (Jenny). Sister in law of Myrna Booth (late Reg), Don Halcrow (Melba), Norma Humphries (Con), Leona Evoy (Ben), Jerry Halcrow (Winona) and Janet MacDonald. Lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Jeanette was welcomed home to eternal rest by her parents Dan and Lillian MacDonald, her 3 infant children and her infant grandson Andrew. Jeanette was a life member of the Bar River U.C.W. and the Women’s Institute and will be sadly missed by her Bar River Friends and Neighbours. Friends may call at the Arthur Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Thursday, September 4, 2008 from 2 – 4 p.m. and from 6 – 9 p.m. Funeral service in the chapel on Friday, September 5, 2008 at 11 a.m. Rev. Rolly MacLean officiating. Interment Maple Leaf Cemetery. Memorial contributions to the Bar River United Church or the Canadian Cancer Society.

Loving father of Ramona McKie (Pete), Michael Harris, John Harris and Steven Harris and dear friend of Jeanne Smith (Willie). Dear son of the late William Calvin Harris and Mae Harris (Eager Boyer). Special grandfather to Craig McKie, Thomas McKie, Ryan Harris, David Harris and Kyrsten Harris. Godfather to Randall Bouchard. Dear brother of Shirley Trudeau (Jack), Patricia Bouchard (Eaucher), Valerie Duguay (Victor), John Boyer (Suzanne), Rosemary Boyer and the late Loretta Rivet. Dear brother in law of Annette Landriault (Lawrence). Long time friend of Ed Sloan (Hilde) and Jack Whalen (Mary). Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Resting at the Beggs Funeral Home Thessalon where friends may call on Tuesday September 2, 2008 from 7 to 9pm. Funeral service in the chapel on Wednesday Setpember 3 at 1:30pm. Sister of Fern Dupey (Beverley) of Texas, Joyce Dupey of Escanaba, Michigan, June Walker (Elmer) of Mount Pleasant, Michigan, Wallace Juneau (late Mary) of Yakima, Washington, Earl Juneau (Joyce) of Powers, Michigan, Jean Ann Arend (Al) of Chicago and the late Clinton Juneau (late Lavona). Dear friend of Alice and John Caul. Donna will be fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews. Friends are invited to celebrate Donna's life at a Memorial Service at Holy Trinity Anglican Church on Friday, September 5, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Stephen Blackmore officiating. Much loved father of Karen Wellwood (John), Heather Whyte (Paul Vesala), Mae Bishop (Michael), Anne D'Agostini (Vince) and John Whyte (Christine). Cherished Papa of Patricia (Sky), Eddie (Pamela), Christopher, Brittany, Autumn (David), Adam (Rosalind), Jake, Matt, Tommy and Emily. Special Great Papa of Tyr, Rebecca, Rachel, Alexander and Alec. Loving brother of Willie Whyte, George Whyte, Sheila McKay, Merle McGlade, the late Jim Whyte and the late May Whyte all of Scotland. Alexander will be sadly missed by his family in Canada and Scotland. A private family service will be held.
