We regret to announce Paul's sudden passing on Sunday, August 31st, 2008 at his home. Predeceased by his parents Paul Louis and Antoinette Blatter and his brother Emmanuel. Survived by four brothers and one sister; Robert (Ann Brandow), Suzanne Blatter (Mike Jackson), Pete (Carrie), Raymond (Nancie) and Carmen (Carmen Charsley). Paul is also survived by his nieces and nephews; Raymond, Elizabeth, Andre, Serge, Chantal, Christophe, Gabriel, Michelle, Renee, Denis, Monique and Curtis. In keeping with Paul's wishes a private family funeral service was held at the Northwood Funeral Home (942 Great Northern Road 945-7758) with Monsignor Bernard Burns officiating. Memorial donations made to the New Sault Area Hospital Building Fund would be appreciated by the family.

The family announces with deep sadness the passing of their dear mother and grandmother on Thursday, August 28th, 2008 at the Algonquin Nursing Home in Mattawa in her 92nd year. She was the loving wife of the late Alfred Bell (1978). She is survived by her sons and daughters: Marlyn (late Hector) Blanchard of Hamilton, Joseph (Kathy) Bell of Eganville, Rhéal (Julie) of Plainville CT, Rose (Rade) Tomic of Edmonton, Therese (Paul) Swant of Sudbury, Harvey (Mary) Bell of Lethbridge, Rita (John) Comeau of Ottawa, Eddy (Sharon) Bell of Sarasota FL, Leo (Lianne) Bell of Pembroke and Kevin (Mary Lou) of Albion PA. Dear daughter of the late George and Mathilda Leclaire. Will be sadly missed by her sisters: Rose and Marie-Louise both of Mattawa and by her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren and also by many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Bell is predeceased by her son Andrew (1999) and her daughter Doreen (2005) and by many brothers and sisters. Family and friends may call at the at the Martyn & Sloan "Mattawa Chapel" on Tuesday, September 2nd, 2008 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A cremation will be held at the Forest Lawn Crematorium. A graveside service and interment of ashes will be held on Wednesday, September 3rd, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at the Ste Anne's Cemetery in Mattawa. Rev. Tim Moyle officiating.
