Peacefully, surrounded by the love, strength and support of his family at the General Hospital on Wednesday, August 13, 2008. Beloved husband and best friend of Ernestina for 47 years. Dear father of Adele Tosello (Dennis), Silvana Turpin (Robert) and Polly Garson (Glenn). Cherished and adored Nonno of Lucas and Erin Turpin, Kayleen Tosello, Gavin and Kenzie Garson. Son of the late Paulina and Salvatore Scornaienchi. Brother of Maria Presta (late Tony), late Vince Scornaienchi (Gina), Alfredo Scornaienchi (Adelina), Alfonso Scornaienchi (Lena), Franco Scornaienchi (Cenzina), Angelina Viapiano (Franco) and Lidia Rocca Nova (late Franco). Brother-in-law of Immaculata and Orlando Tridico. Joe will be fondly remembered by his sisters and brothers-in-law, loving nieces, nephews and friends. Joe will be remembered for his love of gardening, nature, strength, determination and above all, his dedication and love of family. A private family visitation will be held at the Northwood Funeral Home (942 Great Northern Road 945-7758). Friends and family are invited to attend a Funeral Mass on Saturday, August 16, 2008 at St. Veronica's Church at 1:00 p.m. with Reverend Ron Ambeault officiating. Entombment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery Mausoleum. Memorial donations made to the Sault Area Hospital Cardiac Care Fund would be appreciated by the family. Special thank you to Dr. Hackett and nurses Sue of I.C.U., Jan, Sherry and Kelly of 200A and Home Care Nurse Kathy Palombi for their compassion and care.

A private funeral service was held at O’Sullivan Donnelly Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 13, 2008. Interment in Maple Leaf Cemetery. Donation to A.R.C.H. would be appreciated.

Beloved son of the late Frank and Maria Fioramanti and dear brother of Carmel Sorochinsky (late George), Sue McComb (late Bill), Dora Proulx (late Jerry), Joyce Torgerson (Leo), Tony (Pat) and the late Joseph (late Delores), late Sam Fioramanti (Alba), late Rose Desbiens (late Adelard), late Eddie Kerr (late Andy), and the late Rita Yarduk (late John). John is also survived by many nieces and nephews. At a time chosen by God and Mary, in her 78th year, Mary passed away in Guelph, Ontario. She joins her loved husband, Patrick (1994) and beloved son Brian (1990) in Eternity. Missed dearly by her daughter Suzanne (Brian) and son Craig. Fondly remembered by Elizabeth (Ken) MacDonald. Loving grandmother of Brent (Shelly), Paul (Erica), Brendan, Elysia (Mark), Bryce, Kyle, Kevin, and Marissa. Great-grandmother of Madison, Jacob, Landon, Nicole and Emma. Cherished sister of Helena. Predeceased by her father Albert, her mother Catherine and siblings Nelson, Marie and John. She will be missed by Patrick’s family, many nieces, nephews and cousins. Remembered by friends, neighbours and her family at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church. Mary was born on May 22, 1931 in Massey, Ontario. After marrying August 6, 1952, she and Patrick settled in Sault Ste. Marie where they raised their three children. Mary will always be remembered for her devotion to her family and kindness shown to others through her thoughtful gestures like a freshly baked pie or a warm and comforting meal prepared at any time of the day or night. Her kindness extended to animals as well, with many, including cats Longfellow and Oliver, finding a comfortable bed and a bite of food. Friends will be received Thursday, August 14, 2008 from 6-9 p.m. at the Arthur Funeral Home. Funeral mass will be held on Friday August 15, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church. Father Michael Williams officiating. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada or the Sault Ste. Marie Humane Society would be appreciated.
