passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 30, 2008 at the Sault Area Hospital - Plummer Site in her 86th year. Beloved wife of the late Guerino Coccimiglio. Devoted mother of the late Geniale (Maria) and John (Brunella) Coccimiglio. Loved grandmother of Rick (Lisa), Gino (Cindy), Ortenzia Melissa and Jamie John Coccimiglio. Special great grandmother to Maria and Ada Coccimiglio. Cherished sister of the late Giovanni ( late Erminia) Guzzo, late Cecilia (late Pietro) Perri, late Pierina (late Vittorio) Pucci, Ida (late Giuseppe) Bruno, late Antonio (Fiorina) Guzzo and Ermerinda (late Antonio) Russo. Ortenzia is survived by her many nieces and nephews. Family and friends may call at the Northwood Funeral Home (942 Great Northern Road 945-7758) on Friday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral Mass on Saturday, August 2, 2008 at St. Gerard Majella Church at 10:00 a.m. with Reverend Hamish Currie officiating. Peacefully, surrounded by his family, at the Sault Area Hospital- Plummer Site on Saturday, July 26, 2008 at the age of 81 years. Precious husband and best friend of Angela. Loving father of Mary Louise (Jerry), Joseph (Michelle), Michael (Lynda), Mark (Debbie), Stephen and Gregory (Katrina). Cherished Papa of Marnie, Amanda, Jessica, Lauren, Nicolas and Talia. Dear brother of Emma Carricato (late Louie) and the late Linda Spina (late Eugene). Dear son-in-law of Agatha Caruso (late Mike). Dear brother-in-law of Angelo Caruso (Debbie). Special uncle to Michael and Matthew Caruso. Orlando will be fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews. Orlando Sicoly was born in Cosenza, Italy in 1927 and immigrated to Sault Ste. Marie in 1936. After graduating from North Bay Teacher's College in 1949 he began teaching at Fenwick Public School in Goulais Bay. He was the first male teacher to be hired by the Sault Ste. Marie District Roman Catholic Separate School Board where he taught at St. Mary's School. He was later appointed as Principal of St. Pius X Catholic School in 1959 followed by principalships at Corpus Christi, St. Mark and St. Theresa Catholic Schools where he retired in 1987. He served as President of the Principals' Association in Sault Ste. Marie for a number of years, as well as, numerous committees for the Sault Ste. Marie District Roman Catholic Separate School Board. As a member of the teachers' negotiating team, he was instrumental in establishing benefits and higher salaries for teachers. He served on the Provincial Executive for Ontario Catholic Teachers' Association and on several committees that assisted in bringing about progressive legislation for teachers in Ontario. Orlando also served as trustee for two terms for the Sault Ste. Marie District Roman Catholic Separate School Board where he served on many committees such as 'Focus on Faith.' A man of many talents, Orlando was an accomplished guitar player and served for over thirty years as President of the American Federation of Musicians Local 276. A man of deep faith, Orlando first served as conductor of St. Veronica's Church Choir. A devoted parishioner of St. Gregory's Catholic Church, he retired as Choir Master of St. Gregory's where he served for over thirty years. A devoted husband, father and educator, Orlando was a role model both to his children and his students. He was a man of principle and fiercely loyal to his convictions. Orlando was a charismatic man who truly inspired all those who knew him.

constant happiness and prosperity.
May the frightened cease to be afraid,
and those bound be free.
May the weak find power,
and may their hearts join in friendship. Friends are invited to join in the Funeral Mass at St. Gregory's Catholic Church on Thursday, July 31st, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Hamish Currie officiating.
