Cherished mother of Christine Triplett (late Robert), Elsie Childs (late Robert), late Roy (Shirley), Dave (Irene), Leslie (Pat) and the late Gary. Grandmother of 16, 2 predeceased. Many great and great great grandchildren. Sister of Gladys Horner (late Bill) and predeceased by Frank, Cliff, Earl, Lorne, Don, Robert, Florence and Norma. Survived by many nieces and nephews. She will be met in heaven by her best friend the late Dorothy Sherman. God Our Heavenly Father called another angel home. She joins her beloved husband Carmen (1998) on their 66th Wedding Anniversary. Cherished mother of Carl wife Peggy, Vincent wife Dora, Francis (Frank) wife Lynda, Richard wife Gloria, Carmen Jr. wife Amber, Jean Ann Rudak husband John and the late John (1950). Much loved grandmother of Lorena, Richard Jr., Susan, Anne, Christina, Brian, Casey, Rob, Pamela, Michael, Alexandra and Zachary. Great grandmother of 13. Dear daughter of the late Dominic and Rose Friyia. She leaves behind friend and sister Theresa Bugyra. Predeceased by brothers James, Joe, Anthony, Vincent and Salvador and sisters Isabel and Blanche. A great help to the Knights of Columbus Volunteering at St. Vincent De Paul Soup Kitchen. She was also a member of St. Joseph the Worker Parish for 44 years. "Minto" died at the General Hospital on Friday, June 27th after suffering a stroke Sunday night. Survived by his older brother, "Duke" Purvitis. Minto was a well known artist, known for his "Minto" wildlife prints done in ink points and meticulous portraits done in coloured pencils. He was born in Latvia lived in Kaslo, B.C. and Sault Ste.
