CHISHOLM, Walter Joseph Sr. 'The Iron Man'

(1920-2008) - Quietly on Sunday afternoon June 22, 2008 Walter went to meet his beloved wife Marie. Dear father of Roxanne Reid (Scott), Michael, Sandie Predinchuck (Steve), Valerie Christenson (Allan), Michelle Young (Michael), Guy (Oris), Cathy Bonenfant (Terry) and late Walter Jr. (Carolyn). Grandfather of 17 and great grandfather of 16. Brother of Harry Chisholm, Kathleen Melady (Ferg), Lillian Rooney (late Lawrence), Maxine Herchert (late Ed), Madeline Kovacs and Katherine Engel (Jack). Walter will be fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews. He was a member of City Council for 38 years, 4th Degree Knights of Columbus and a Naval Veteran. Walter lived a full life to the end. Friends may call at the Northwood Funeral Home (942 Great Northern Road 945-7758) on Wednesday evening from 6:30 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral and committal service in the Chapel on Thursday, June 26, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. Memorial donations made to the Van Daele Residents' Council would be apprecaited by the family. A special thank you to Darryl, Marcie and Lorena - for Dad you were always there and to the rest of the staff at Van Daele for all their care and compassion.

At Sault Area Hospital (Plummer) on Sunday June 22, 2008 John (Jack) Donovan in his 89 th year. Beloved husband of Ausma Donovan and dear stepfather of Andris (Kimberlee) and Ivars (Jennifer) Krumins. Grand father to Danielle, Samantha, Melissa, Karli, Kieran and Kaija. John is survived by his brother, James Donovan(Kay) and his sister, Molly Wright (John). He was predeceased by his brothers Timothy (late Lilly), Patrick (late Dorothy) and Michael Donovan and his sisters Bridie Chambers and Peggy Griffin (late Dave). Also survived by many nephews and nieces. John was a trustee on the Sault Ste Marie and District Roman Catholic Separate School Board for many years. John loved golf and up until his illness made it impossible, he played as often as he could. Friends may call at O’Sullivan Donnelly Funeral Home and Cremation Center, corner of Cathcart and St. James Sts. Thursday June 26 th from 6 to 9 p.m. Funeral Mass Friday June 27th at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, MacDonald Ave., at 9.30 a.m. with Father Michael Williams officiating. Cremation at Greenwood Crematorium. Donations to the Community Cancer Clinic would be appreciated.

Much loved uncle of Abbie (Sherri), David, Matthew, Aaron, Chelsea, Britney and Carter. He will be missed by his aunts, uncles and cousins. Fred will also be missed by his constant companion Thunder. (October 22, 1925) Surrounded by her loved ones on Monday, June 9, 2008. Beloved wife of the late Gordon Churchill (1989). Precious mom to David Churchill, Donna Barbet (late Jim), Kathy Churchill-Forrest (David) and Susan Bisson (Jake). Loving Nana to Ted Barbet (Jessica), Cara Barbet (Mike), Brittany and Max Churchill, Jade and David Forrest. Special friend to Victoria Ozol Churchill, Rod Duhaime and Marie Houle. This remarkable woman, who's strength, determination and passion was the longest surviving renal patient at the Plummer Renal Clinic (7˝ years). Dorothy remained independent until she decided her final journey. May this courageous woman give hope and inspiration to new and present renal patients everywhere. We the family give our respect and gratitude to the Renal Clinic for their compassion, friendship and professional ability which was above and beyond the call of duty. Never have we witnessed such beautiful souls giving of themselves - Dr. Beck, Dr. Connolly, Dr. Shawn Armstrong, Dr. Berry, Social Worker and dear friend Shirley at the Renal Clinic. To every nurse who touched our mother's life. You walked with Mom and at times carried her. A task difficult at times. To Sue and Carolyn at the 3rd floor of the General Hospital who helped us in mom's journey, thank you. Your gentle touch and love was amazing. To the Palliative Care Nurses at the Plummer who let us give Mom all our love and the dignity she deserved, thank you. Without hesitation, the family request that in lieu of flowers a donation be made to the SAH Renal Dialysis Care Fund. Friends may call at the Northwood Funeral Home (942 Great Northern Road 945-7758) for visitation on Wednesday, June 11, 2008 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. At Mom's request, she will be cremated and reunited with Dad. A private memorial for the family to follow.

Great-grandfather of Kianah, Tysei, Kaden and Kyla.
