Mrs. Janey Spiteri Pacheco
July 26, 2007

It is with great sadness that the family of Janey Ann Josephine Spiteri Pacheco announces her passing in her 38th year on July 26, 2007. Loving and devoted mother of three beautiful children, Anthony, Nicole and Victoria. Her children were her life and will be her lasting legacy. Cherished daughter of Mario and Lilian Spiteri. Adored sister of Carmen (David) and Joe (Tina). Loving aunt of Matthew, Olivia and Claire. Janey was a beautiful woman inside and out. Her engaging personality lit up every room she entered. With her beautiful blue eyes, easy smile and quick wit, she was a friend to all. Even in her last days, we were treated to her sense of humour and her strong personality. We would also like to thank the dedicated circle of friends who visited Janey regularly in the final months of her life. Your friendship meant so much to Janey. Thanks also to the staff of the Palliative Care Unit at St. Michael’s hospital. We will never forget the exceptional care provided to her.

Friends and family will be received at the LYNETT FUNERAL HOME (416- 767-1176), located at 3299 Dundas St. West (one block east of Runnymede). Visitation will be held Saturday 7-9 p.m. and Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A funeral mass will be held in her honour at St. Paul the Apostle Church, 3224 Dundas Street West, on Monday at 9:15 a.m. Interment to follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Pacheco Children Trust Fund. A trust fund has been set up at TD Canada Trust for the children. Contributions may be made at any branch. Account # 506-6300931.

Edgar J. Emond
January 13, 1929 - August 5, 2007

EMOND, Edgar J., 78 years, passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side. Beloved husband of Rose (nee Lemire) for the past 43 years. Cherished son of the late Agnes & Louis Emond. Dear brother of Rose Russell and predeceased by baby sister Mary - Margaret and Joe Emond. Family and friends will be received on Tuesday from 2-5 & 7-9 p.m. Parish prayers 7:30 p.m. at the Janisse Bros-Marcotte Funeral Home 1139 Ouellette Avenue. Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday August 8, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. Fr. Vince Gleeson celebrant. Interment St. Alphonsus Cemetery. A tree will be planted in memory of Edgar Emond in the Janisse Bros-Marcotte Heritage Forest. A dedication service will be held September 30, 2007. All are welcome.

Mr. Pieter Passchier
February 6, 1929 - August 3, 2007

It is with sadness that we announce the death of our husband, father, and Opa. Loving husband of Fay for 53 years. Dear father and Opa of Marianne and Jim Hannah; Jennifer and Stephanie (fiancée Raymond), Ditte and Frank VanAken; Maria and Michael (Monique), David and Elaine Passchier; Amber and Erica and predeceased by little Pieter Jerome. Pieter was retired from Stelco - 20 inch Mill. The family will receive friends at the DODSWORTH & BROWN Funeral Home ANCASTER CHAPEL 378 Wilson St. E. Wednesday, August 8 from 7-9 p.m. and from Westdale Reformed Church 201 Paradise Rd. N., Hamilton from 1-2 p.m. on Thursday, August 9 with the Funeral Service to follow at 2 p.m. Interment White Chapel Memorial Gardens. If desired, donations may be made to Henderson Hospital A3 – Patient Equipment Fund.

Mr. Walter Bruce Wilson
February 25, 1952 - August 4, 2007

Walter Bruce a resident of Chatham passed away at his residence, while surrounded by his family Saturday August 4, 2007 in his 55th year. Son of the late Walter and Eleanor Wilson. Beloved husband of Dena. Father of Melinda Eldridge and husband Jeff, Patricia Den Boer and husband Sean, Bonnie Wilson and Andrew Amaral, Nathan Wilson, Gillian and Roland Boswell, Alisha and Kim Edwards. Grandfather of Avery, Mackenzie, Sydney, Zachary, Cody, Kaleb, Emma and Shiloh. Also survived by brother Allan of Sudbury, sister Maureen Wilson and husband Dave of Thunder Bay, brother in law John Wilson and wife Karen, sister in law Jean and husband Mat Frisina, sister in law Mary Lapiere and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by son Matthew, sister Ann, brother Eric and father and mother in law Matthew and Rena Wilson. The family will receive visitors Wednesday, August 8, 2007 from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. at the Bowman Funeral Home, 4 Victoria Ave. (519-352-2390). A funeral service, with 1 hour visitation before service, will be held Thursday, August 9, 2007 at 2:30 p.m from Evangel Community Church (76 Sandys St). Memorial contributions may be directed to the Evangel Mission.

Mrs. Laura Ann London
October 4, 1976 - August 2, 2007

It is with great sadness the family of Laura London announces her passing on August 2, 2007, at the age of 30 years.

Beloved wife of Michael.

Loving mother of MacKenzie and Joshua.

Loving daughter of Eric and the late Wanda.

Daughter-in-law to David and Linda.

Dear sister of Eileen and special aunt to Chantal. Sister-in-law and dear friend to Lisa.

The family will receive friends at the L.G. Wallace Funeral Home, 151 Ottawa St. N., Hamilton, ON (905)544-1147 on Sunday, August 5 from 2-4 p.m. and Monday, August 6 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.

Funeral service to take place in the Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, August 7 at 1:00 p.m.

Interment to follow at White Chapel Memorial Gardens.

If so desired expressions of sympathy may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.

The family would like to send their sincere thanks to the Juravinski Cancer Centre, St. Peter's Hospital, and close friends and relatives for all of their compassion towards Laura during this difficult time.

Mrs. Rita Mary Bishop
May 29, 1923 - August 2, 2007

Peacefully with her family by her side on August 2nd, 2007 at the Credit Valley Hospital. Pre-deceased by her husband Eric Douglas Bishop. Devoted mother to Doreen and her husband Norley, Patricia and her husband Gino and James and his wife Joanne, Loving Nanny to Azure, Michael, Lia, Megan, Joshua and Kala. Rita will be missed by all those she touched. The Family will receive friends at the Scott Funeral Home 289 Main St. N. Brampton on Monday August 6, 2007 from 6-9 p.m. and Tuesday August 7, 2007 from 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 p.m. a Funeral Ceremony will be held on Wednesday August 8th, 2007 at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial at the Meadowvale Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to the Credit Valley Hospital would be appreciated.

Mrs. Isabella McAvoy
September 9, 1924 - August 2, 2007

Peacefully at the Kingston General Hospital, on Thursday, August 2, 2007. Beloved wife of the late Lawrence McAvoy. Loving mother of Catherine Earley, Fergus McAvoy and Ann Black. Dearly remembered by her many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Friends will be received at the Township Chapel of the Gordon F. Tompkins Funeral Homes, 435 Davis Drive (Centennial Dr and Taylor Kidd Blvd) on Monday, August 6 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 1111 Taylor Kidd Blvd on Tuesday, August 7 at 11 a.m. Rite of Committal with prayers in the Veteran's Plot at Cataraqui Cemetery.

Dorothy May, long time resident of Chatham passed away at the CKHA Public General Campus on Thursday, August 2, 2007. Daughter of the late John G and Jenny Mc Cart. Wife of the late Russell Myers (1971). Mother of the late Larry Myers (2007) and Ruth Ann Oxley and her husband Keith. Grandmother of Crystal Oxley of Toronto, the late Patrick Oxley (2002), Kevin and Candice Myers of Australia, Sandi and Dave Tunks, Kelli Myers and Dave, Paula Myers and John of Chatham, Sid and Ashleigh Myers of St. Catherine's. Great grandmother of Jessica Oxley, Alicia, Jason, Tanesha Tunks and Erica Myers. Sister of John McCart of Newbury. Dorothy will be remembered by many loving nephews and nieces. Also remembered by daughter in law Vivienne Myers and grand daughter in law Michelle Oxley. Predeceased by brothers Albert, Clarence, James and Edward McCart. The family will receive guests Monday, August 6, 2007 from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm at the Bowman Funeral Home, 4 Victoria Ave., (519-352-2390), followed immediately by a funeral service. Interment to follow at Maple Leaf Cemetery.
