John SHAW - It is with great sadness the Shaw family announces the passing of John Shaw on Monday, September 24, 2007 at the age of 75. Much loved husband of Jean. Loving father of Cathy Smithwick, Jon, Colleen (Holger Oberlander) and Chris (Pam). Proud Papa to Katlin, Tyler, Krista, Siobhan and Jessica. Dear brother to Angela Bratton, Isobel McCibben and Robert. Will be missed by his extended family and all who knew him .The family will receive friends at the McEACHNIE FUNERAL HOME, 28 Old Kingston Road, Pickering Village (Ajax) from 12 noon on Sunday followed by service in the chapel at 1:00 p.m. Cremation. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Parkinson foundation would be appreciated by the family.

Loving mother of Frank Nardilli, Ross Nardilli and his wife Mary, Beth Porter and her husband Kirk . Dear grandmother of Kelsey and Keldon Porter, Michael and Stephanie Nardilli. Mr. Charles Newhouse
March 6, 1923 - September 24, 2007

NEWHOUSE, CHARLES HENRY passed away suddenly at the NHS - General Site on Monday, September 24, 2007 in his 85th year. Beloved husband of Nancy for 58 years. Loving dad of Lee Anne Losier and her husband Conrad. "Gig" will be greatly missed by his granddaughter Kerri and her partner Steven. He is survived by his brother Frank (Pat).
Charlie was a volunteer firefighter in Port Dalhousie, a 50 year member of Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #350, and a retired employee of the City of St. Catharines.
Cremation has taken place, a Service of Remembrance will be held at the NIAGARA ST. CHAPEL of BUTLER FUNERAL HOME, 424 Niagara St., (south of Scott) on Thursday, September 27, 2007 at 10:30 a.m. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the charity of one's choice would be appreciated by the family.

March 2, 1936 - September 23, 2007

Went to be with her Lord on September 23, 2007 at the age of 71. Beloved wife of Derek and loving mother of Judy and Peter and very special Nanny to her grand-daughter Priya. Given to hospitality, she will be fondly remembered by her extended family. Friends and family are invited to the SCOTT FUNERAL HOME "Brampton Chapel, " 289 Main St. N., Brampton on Tuesday, September 25th from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the Chapel on Wednesday, September 26th at 1 p.m. Interment Brampton Memorial Gardens.

LAJOIE, Irene "Meme" Beneteau - It is with sadness but understanding that Wilfred (Marg Lemon), Margaret (Andre Campeau), Lawrence (Nancy Drake). Gerald and Robert (Dawna Brusseau) announce the passing of their mother on September 24th. She was born February 20th 1913. her husband Rene died in 1997. She was predeceased by her parents Remi and Jeanne Beneteau (Pare); two sisters Sylvia (King) and Yvonne (Trevisol); three brothers Lucien, Charles and Raoul and one very special grandson Nicholas (1997). She is also survived by seven granddaughters (Kathy, Lize, Geni, Danielle, Stephanie, Laura and Chantelle) and eleven great grandchildren. She also leaves behind a dear cousin and friend, Lucie Janisse. Many nieces and nephews also will miss her deeply, especially Paulette Dantzer. Mom kept very busy in her senior years as a volunteer for the WINDSOR PUBLIC SCHOOL BOARD at Parkview, Forest Glade and John Campbell. She encouraged children to read and to listen to stories. She bribed many a student and staff with her cookies. Her baking also brought pleasure to NORTHSHORE COMMUNITY LIVING and other local charities. Her continued interest and participation in her grandsons memory Christmas Drive TREATS and TREASURES for Nick was also a passion.Special thanks to Teresa Garcia and the CCAC staff for their excellent attention to her health. For Riverside Place and 4th floor west Metropolitan Hospital thank you for the respect and dignity with which you treated Mom during her very short stay in your care.Visitation will be Wednesday, September 26th from 2-5 and 7-9 at Janisse Bros Marcotte Funeral Home, 1139 Ouellette Ave. Parish prayers Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. Family and friends are requested to meet for further visitation from 9 a.m. Thursday at Blessed Sacrament Church until mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Father Joe Langlois officiating. Interment Heavenly Rest CemeteryIn lieu of flowers Mom has requested the donation of NEW children's books to A BOOK OF MY OWN. New books can be brought to the funeral home or the church. Financial donations to this charity are also appropriate.

October 12, 1943 - September 23, 2007

SMALL, Lloyd James passed away suddenly September 23, 2007 as a result of a truck accident at the age of 63. Beloved husband of Elaine. Dear father of Tammy Small and Rosaire, Nicole Pinsonneault and Mike and Breanne Papineau and Steve. Special Grandpa to David and Christopher and Mackenize and Karissa. Special friend to Linda Small. Dear brother of Helen McGee and the late Frank, David Small, Mabel Ouellette and the late Tom, Linda Thomas and Hank, and Wayne Small. Predeceased by brothers William and Jerry. Lloyd was a special uncle to many nieces and nephews. Lloyd was a long time truck driver for a number of trucking firms in the Windsor area. Visitation will be held from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday and 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the Janisse Bros-Marcotte Funeral Home 1139 Ouellette Ave. The funeral service will be held Friday, September 28, 2007 at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
Memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice.

KOTSOPOULOS, Petrena (Pat) passed away after a long illness on September 24, 2007 in her 62nd year. Pat Kotsopoulos loving husband of Danny. Dear mother of Steve and his wife Mary, Dave and his wife Franca and Donny. Loving Baba of Michael, Kyrsten, Alexia and Evan. Will also be missed by her loving sisters.
