Allan "Al" Everette LOOMER
June 22, 1945 - September 27, 2007

Allan Everette “Al” Loomer, age 62, of Curry’s Corner, Windsor, passed away Thursday, September 27th, 2007, at Hants Community Hospital, Windsor, after fighting cancer for three years. His wife and family were at his side.
Born on June 22nd, 1945, in Berwick, Kings County, Nova Scotia, he was the son of Olive (Arnold) Ogilvie of Burlington, Kings County and the late Howard C. Loomer.
His education started in a one room school in Victoria Harbour, Kings County and after graduation from West Kings District High School, Auburn, he was employed with the Royal Bank for 37 years. He became a “Fellow of the Institute of the Canadian Bankers” and held several management positions, as well as serving in Atlantic Province Headquarters. He retired as manager at the Windsor Branch, in 2001.
Throughout his business career and after, Al was always involved in the communities in which he lived, by way of service clubs and other organizations. Those included membership and offices in Lions, Rotary, Red Cross, Chamber of Commerce and Gyro Club. He was an outdoor enthusiast and enjoyed his wood lot, gardening, fishing, golfing, curling and snowmobiling. Being a member of the clubs associated with these activities in Windsor.
Besides his mother, Olive (Arnold) Ogilvie; he is survived by his loving wife, Margaret (Nauss) Loomer, Curry’s Corner; son, Jeffrey Loomer, Dartmouth; daughter, Angela (Donald) Alexander, Quispamsis, New Brunswick; grandsons, Howard K. Loomer and Mitchell Alexander; brother, Phillip Loomer (Sandra Heft), Waverley; nephew, Damon Loomer (Neavis) and their 3 sons, Waverley.
Visitation will be 2–4 p.m. Sunday, September 30th, 2007, in Lindsay’s Windsor Funeral Home, 194 King Street, Windsor.
Memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, October 1st, 2007, in Lindsay’s Windsor Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. James Haughn officiating. Burial will take place at a later date.
Donations in memory of Al, may be made to: The Canadian Cancer Society or The Heart & Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.

Mr. Anthony "Tony" Matte
May 24, 1944 - October 2, 2007

MATTE, Anthony (Tony) passed away suddenly October 2, 2007 at the age of 63. Beloved husband of Sheila (nee Curtis) for 41 years. Loving dad of Tammy Cadarette (Rod Caron) and Mike Matte (Shannon Gibbons). Devoted grandpa to Scott and Adam Cadarette, Matthew Hamilton and Logan Matte. Dear son-in-law of Nina Curtis and the late Vern and brother-in-law to Bart Curtis and wife Donna. Son of the late Pete and Leah Matte. Brother of Andrew Matte and wife Vera and Agnes Farmer. Predeceased by sister Annette Rogers and brothers Alvin and Alpha Matte. Tony retired from BASF after years of dedication. Visiting at the JAMES H. SUTTON FUNERAL HOME, 401 Sandwich St. S., Amherstburg on Wednesday from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Thursday, October 4, 2007 at the Funeral Home at 11:30 a.m. Rev. Bill Strang officiating. Interment Rose Hill Cemetery. As your expression of sympathy donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of Tony in the Sutton Heritage Forest. A dedication service will be held September 2008. All are welcome.

Mr. F.J. Peter Story
April 22, 1938 - October 2, 2007
(Long-time, devoted Parts Manager of Colony Ford, Brampton)

After a lengthy illness, passed away peacefully at home, on October 2, 2007 at the age of 69. Beloved husband of Betty for 43 years. Loving father of Diane and her husband Keith O'Brien. Papa of Joshua. Brother of Jessie and her husband Bill Love (Ottawa), and Agnes and her husband Glenn Holway (Huntsville). Dear brother-in-law of Ralph and his wife Patsy Burton, and David and his wife Bev Burton, all of Nova Scotia. He will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by all who knew him. At Peter's request, a private family service will be held. Interment Brampton Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.

Miss Audrey Wilson
March 14, 1914 - October 1, 2007

WILSON, Audrey passed away peacefully on Monday, October 1, 2007 at the age of 93. Beloved daughter of the late Mae and Garnet Wilson. Much loved life long friend to Evelyn Penman (Jim) and Marg Cross. Loved as family by Evelyn's children, Bonnie Chung (Victor), Pat Durante (Murray) and Marg's children; Sari Blaney, Jay, Randy and Kim Cross. Lovingly remembered by her "little ones", now fully grown, Kim Chung-Lavis, Chris Chung and Jeff and Jason Durante. Cousin of Lois Westwood (Dick), Beth Hamilton (Lloyd) and the late Barbara Britton (George). A very special thank you to Tessie and all of the staff at Versa Care Main for their care and compassion over the last 6 years. Sincere thanks to Audrey's many friends, neighbours and caregivers who have been so supportive during her long illness with Alzheimer's. Visitation at SHERRIN FUNERAL HOME, 873 Kingston Road (west of Victoria Park), (416-698-2861) on Saturday, October 6, 2007 from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. Funeral service to follow at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel. Private interment in Brighton, Ontario at a later date. Remembrances of sympathy may be made to the Humane Society or the Alzheimer's Society.

Mrs. Shirley Marie O'Shea
October 13, 1924 - October 2, 2007

O'Shea, Shirley Marie passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 2, 2007 at Post Inn Village, Oakville in her 83rd year. Shirley, beloved wife of Stan for 52 years, dear aunt of Janet McLean of North Bay and cousin of Doreen Merchant of Montreal. She will be fondly remembered by her many friends. Family and friends will be received at the Glen Oaks Memorial Chapel and Reception Centre 3164 Ninth Line, Oakville (Dundas Street at Ninth Line) on Friday, October 5 from 6-8pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, October 6, 2007 at St. Christopher's Roman Catholic Church 1171 Clarkson Road, Mississauga at 10 am. Cremation.

Mr. Kirk S. McNaughton
November 3, 1950 - October 3, 2007

Suddenly on Wednesday, October 3, 2007, Kirk S. McNaughton of Goderich passed away in his 57th year. Beloved husband of Marion (Mitchell). Dear father of John of Kitchener. Son of Jack (Stella) McNaughton and the late Louise McNaughton. Brother of Roxy (Greg) Maize of Auburn, Tim (Lyse) of Waterloo, Bill (Pat) Kitchener and the late Glen. Also survived by mother-in-law Anna Mitchell of Goderich and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the McCallum & Palla Funeral Home, Cambria Rd. at East St. Goderich on Friday 7-9PM. Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home on Saturday at 11:00 AM. Interment Maitland Cemetery. Donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation gratefully acknowledged.

May 14, 1923 - October 3, 2007

Ruth Anna Fairlie (nee Cahill), 84 years, passed away peacefully on October 3, 2007. Late of Windsor. Beloved wife of the late George (1990). Loving mother of Jane and husband Leonard Webber; Patricia and husband Kenneth Tyson; and the late James (1968). Dear grandma to James Vasilyev, of Victoria, BC.; Krista Vasilyev, of London, ON.; Naomi and Christopher White, of Windsor; Michelle Tyson-Burns and Michael Burns, of Qualicum Beach, BC.; Bradley Tyson and Jill Gelinas, of Windsor. Dear great-grandmother to Austyn and Alyssa White; Kayden and Lindsey Burns. Dear sister to Helen Russell (the late William, 2007); Daniel and Barbara Cahill; and the late Margaret Simpson, John Cahill, Frank Cahill, Patricia Allchin, and Joseph Cahill. Ruth will be remembered by many nieces and nephews. Visiting Thursday, from 3:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at The Marcotte Funeral Home and Chapel, 12105 Tecumseh Road, Tecumseh . The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, October 5, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Fr. Thom Blondin officiating. Interment at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. In kindness, a donation to the Windsor Regional Cancer Centre, 2220 Kildare Road, Windsor, N8W 2X3 or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 2109 Ottawa St., Suite 280 Windsor, N8Y 1R8 would be appreciated, A tree will be planted in memory of Ruth in the Marcotte Heritage Forest. A dedication service will be held in the fall of 2008.

Howell, Iris passed away peacefully on October 3, 2007 at Mississauga, Ontario in her 90th year. Iris, beloved wife of the late Lionel. Dearest mother of Linda and her husband Albert. Cherished Nana of Randy and Ian and great-grandmother to Zachary, Gracie, Matthew, Reece and Nicholas. Dear sister of Venita, Eric, Theresa (Tessi) and the late Enid. Mrs. Howell is resting at Scott Funeral Home, Mississauga Chapel, 420 Dundas St. East (one block west of Cawthra Rd.) for visitation on Thursday from 7 - 9pm. and Friday from 9am to the time of service at 10:30am. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday morning, October 5, 2007 in the Funeral Chapel at 10:30am. There will be visitation. Cremation. In lieu of flowers donations to the Canadian Osteoporosis Society or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
