Tempeny, David Vincent - After six courageous years, David succumbed to cancer on Tuesday, July 31, 2007, with his beloved wife Marcy at his bedside. he will be sadly missed by sons Michael, Vincent and daughter Melissa. Beloved son of Lilliann and Michael Tempeny (predeceased) . Brother to sisters Kathleen Clarke and Theresa Giovannini and brother Bruce Tempeny. Predeceased by brothers Jack, Frank, Fred, Bill and sister Margaret. He will be sadly missed by all his extended family and friends. passed away peacefully after a brief illness on Monday July 30, 2007 at St. Joseph's Healthcare Centre in her 69th year. Loving wife of Joe for over 40 years. Jerry has sailed on to a higher sea…
He drifted away peacefully on Friday, July 27, 2007 with his family by his side.
Jerry was predeceased by his son Gary and grandson Michael.
He will be lovingly remembered by his beloved wife Julia, son Terry (Diana) of Cockrane, AB, step-sons Len (Simone) of Wpg, Larry (Jackie) of Regina, Lloyd (Donna Sentes) of Thunder Bay, ON, grandsons Paul (Tona) Sentes of Winnipeg, Dean (Iona) Sentes of Calgary, Patrick Sentes of Regina, granddaughters Leila (Alan) Olinger, Kelsey Sentes (John), Tara Sentes (ON), great grandchildren Kristen, Alana, Devin, Matthew, Shane, Eric and Nicholas.
Jerry was born in Fort William, Ontario. He served throughout W.W. II with the Royal Canadian Navy in the North Atlantic Theatre. Following the war service, Jerry attended University of Alberta, graduating with a B.S.C. in Mining Geology. He had a wide experience in exploration and development of Canada’s mineral resources, having carried out programs in all provinces but P.E. I.. Jerry serviced with Saskatchewan Department of Mineral Resources before he joined the Saskatchewan Department of Industry and Commerce as Mineral Consultant, in 1967 he was appointed Deputy Minster. In 1967 he was awarded the Canada Centennial Medal for services to the nation.
Cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jerry’s memory to a charity of one’s choice.

Joan Sarah Jane Jenkins (nee Haydn) passed away peacefully on August 7, 2007 at the age of 87, with her loving family by her side. Late of Windsor and Belle River. Joan was born on August 2, 1920 formaly Wattsville, Gwent, South Wales and immigrated to Canada in 1996. She was an only child to Thomas and Jane Haydn. Predeceased by her husband William Jenkins (1995). She will be sadly missed by her daughter Barbara and husband Alan Sims, three grandchildren Jane Munkacsi and husband Nicholas, Andrew Sims and wife Shelley, and Christopher Sims. Dear great grandmother of Sarah, Wesley, Nicholas, Melissa, Johnathon and Brittany. Visitation on Friday August 10, 2007 from 10 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Service at 11 a.m. at the Marcotte Funeral Home and Chapel, 12105 Tecumseh Road, Tecumseh (519-735-2830). Fr. Daniel Bombardier will be officiating. Cremation to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. Interment will take place in Wales at a later date.
