ALVIN FITZROY CHIN - It is with profound sadness that the family announces the passing of Alvin Fitzroy Chin on Sunday, July 29, 2007 in the comfort of his home, surrounded by his beloved family. Predeceased by his first wife Lee Yuk Ying. He will be greatly missed by Paulina, his loving wife of 47 years and his children: Sue Lee and husband Vernon, Elena and husband Luc, Andrew and wife Marie, predeceased by daughter Marcia and son Alvin Jr.; grandchildren: Andrea and husband Winston, Francis and wife Mari, James and wife Lisa, Rachelle, Naomi, Brandon, Dillon, great-grandchildren: Alex, Cary, Kurtis, Kristina, Megan, Tori, Jonathan. He will be remembered by his brothers Ivan and wife Lily, Ken and wife Nuke, Tenny and companion Petal, and sisters Vie, Veroy and husband Bob, Lily and husband Collin, Marie and husband Percival and his many nieces and nephews. Special thanks to Remy, Jamie, Margaret, Sharon and Eddie, Betty and Brian, Kevin and Bev, Dane and Pat, and to everyone for their love and generous support. Family and friends will be received on Friday, August 3 from 5-8:30 p.m. at Highland Funeral Home, 3280 Sheppard Ave. E. (just west of Warden), 416-773-0933. Beloved wife of Victor Warren for over 63 years. Dear mother of Jim of Peterborough, Anne of Ajax and Kathleen (Lloyd Clive) of Lily Lake Rd. Loving grandmother of April, Lance, Robert and Meredith and great grandmother to Garrett, Logan, Tristan and Madison. Will be sadly missed by his children Gina, David and John and their families. Predeceased by his son Ted. Also dearly missed by Pearl Cooper and her family. Survived by his brothers Demetri and Savvas and sisters Daphne and Maria and their families. HACHEY, HELEN (HAMMOND nee BROWN) - Helen was called by her Saviour Jesus Christ ,surrounded by the love of her family, on Sunday, July 29, 2007 at the Kingston General Hospital. Cherished mother of Julie (Tom) Rose and David (Junko) Hammond. Dearly missed Granny /Neenee of Sydney, Mackenzie and Kassidy Rose, Aya Lily Hammond. Loved sister of Kenneth Brown, Valerie Burgess, Sheila Pennell and loved sister in law of Donna Brown, Jack Burgess and Doug Pennell. Survived by Jim Hachey. Predeceased by her first husband John Hammond (1994), her parents Orpha and William Brown and sister Elaine Brown. Lovingly remembered by her many nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Helen's Life will be held at St. John's Anglican Church, 41 Church Street (Portsmouth) with a gathering period on Monday, August 6 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. The Service of Remembrance will be held in the Church, Tuesday, August 7, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. A private family interment service will follow.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the UHKF Southeastern Ontario Cancer Centre in memory of Helen.

TOTH, Erszebet "IBI" Our beautiful heart Anyu passed away suddenly August 1, 2007. Predeceased by her husband Bela (April 16, 1982). Dearest mother of Agi Ross and husband Richard, William and wife Cheryl, Elizabeth Hulse and husband Colin and Robert and wife Joanne. Dear Nagymama of Summer and Kathleen Ross, Justin and Michael Toth and Hanna Toth. Dear sister to Manci Suveg of Budapest. Predeceased by her brother Lajos (1986). Dear friend of John Lugosi. Elizabeth was very active in the Hungarian Community and was the past president of Mindszenty Hall. Bela and Ibi courageously brought our family to Canada to provide us with a wonderful life. Anyu, we are grateful for the legacy you gave us. Visitation will be held at Janisse Bros-Marcotte Funeral Home, 1139 Ouellette (519-253-5225) from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Monday, August 6th with Parish Prayers at 4 p.m. Family and friends are requested to meet for further visitation at Corpus Christi Church from 10 a.m. Tuesday, August 7th until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Interment Heavenly Rest Cemetery. After a 7 year battle with cancer, fought with dignity and grace, Sylvia, surrounded by her family and friends, passed away at Lakeridge Health - Oshawa.
Sylvia was the beloved wife of Brian and devoted mother of Gregory and Jessica. She will be missed by her parents, Elisabeth and Karl Burkhardt and her older brother Tom (Mag). Daughter-in-law of Nancy Tyce and the late Dennis, sister-in-law of Anjie MacKay, Alan (Laura), Peter (Teri), Laurie Beaton (Michael), Sandy Jang, Neil (Heather) and Denise Cashley (Bruce). She will be missed by many nieces and nephews and her many special friends including Rhonda and "Edna" Deb.
The family would like to recognize the wonderful care and support given to Sylvia and her family during this difficult time.
We are grateful to doctors Devost and Wilke and Sylvia's co-workers at Lakeridge Health - Oshawa.
Sylvia was a wonderful wife, mother, sister and friend. Her dedication to her chosen profession of nursing helped many people over the years. Sylvia's sunny personality and amazing spirit has sustained us over the years, she will be missed by all.
Family and friends will be received at the Mount Lawn Reception Center 21 Garrard Rd. Whitby (just north of Hwy 2) from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. with a Funeral mass to follow at Holy Cross Roman Catholic Church (373 Simcoe St. S. just south of Olive Ave. Oshawa) at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday August 2, 2007. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.

Beloved husband for 57 years of Evelyn Barrett (nee Cronkright) Loving father of Barbara Truaisch (Michael) of Bloomfield, Joanne Dafoe (Rod) of Corbyville and Angela Barrett (Kerry Scott) of Belleville. Dear brother of Catherine Clouthier (Art), Pat Barrett and predeceased by Dick, Bud and Don. Dear Poppie of Jennifer, Matthew, Natalie and John Paul Truaisch and Terra and Brandon Dafoe.
