June 4, 1943 - August 8, 2007

Visitation Information: Saturday, August 11th from 5-9 p.m. & Sunday, August 12th from 4-9 p.m. at the Highland Funeral Home and Cremation Centre "Scarborough Chapel"
Funeral Service: Monday, August 13th at 10 a.m. at the Epiphany of Our Lord Roman Catholic Church
Interment: Pine Hills Cemetery.

Mr. Giuseppe Finelli
March 7, 1940 - August 7, 2007

Finelli, Giuseppe passed away peacefully on August 7, 2007 at Barrie, Ontario at the age of 67. Giuseppe will be dearly missed by his beloved wife Maria. Loving father of Leonardo, Maria, Jose and Laura. Proud Nonno of ten grandchildren and one great grandchild. Dearest brother of Filippo and Constanza. Mr. Finelli is resting at Scott Funeral Home, Mississauga Chapel, 420 Dundas Street East (one block west of Cawthra Road) for visitation on Thursday from 5-9 p.m. and Friday from 5-9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday morning August 11, 2007 in St. Patrick's Church (921 Flagship Drive, Mississauga) at 10 o'clock. Entombment Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Woodbridge, Ontario.

Chester "Ches" Leander UPSHAW
May 12, 1916 - August 8, 2007

Chester “Ches” Leander Upshaw, age 91, of Panuke Road, Three Mile Plains, Hants County. It is with heavy hearts that we his family announce the passing of Ches Upshaw, on Wednesday, August 8th, 2007, in the Hants Community Hospital, Windsor, surrounded by his children.
Born on May 12th, 1916, in Windsor, Hants County, Nova Scotia, he was a son of the late Robert and Lena (Hartley) Upshaw.
Ches retired from J. W. Lindsay Construction and in his working years, was formerly employed at Fundy Gypsum Company, Hants County Exhibition, in the woods and at the sawmill. God gave Ches a strong work ethic and spirit. He was a family man who would help out his neighbours and fellow community members. Ches was a hobby farmer, who enjoyed gardening, taking care of his livestock and could always be found working around his barn and pastures.
He will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his common law wife of 41 years, Priscilla "Bea" Irene Sampson; his children, Raymond (Ida) Upshaw Sr., Three Mile Plains; Margaret "Peggy" Karamitsos, Kentville; Irvin (Linda) Upshaw Sr., Montreal, Quebec; Verna Sampson (Danny Bechard), Coldbrook; step-children, Annette (Ernie) Johnson, Brampton, Ontario; Lesa Sampson, Windsor; Cassandra Sampson, Three Mile Plains; grandchildren, Deanna (Gary) Simmonds; Rayvonne (Steven) Carrington; Maria (Mike) Moody; Danielle (Richard) Simmons; Irvin Upshaw Jr.; Raymond Upshaw Jr.; Thane Upshaw; Tristan Sampson; Cherrelle Sampson; Andrew Upshaw; Shawndel Sampson; Marissa Wilson; and Dylan Johnson; 17 great grandchildren and 1 great great-granddaughter; brothers, Levi Upshaw, Three Mile Plains; and Gilbert Upshaw, Three Mile Plains; several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a grandson, Catlin Upshaw; brothers, Clinton Upshaw, Robert Upshaw, Vincent Upshaw, Walter Upshaw and a brother, Andrew in infancy.
Special “Thank you” to the Palliative Care nurses, who cared for our dad during his brief stay at Hants Community Hospital.
Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. Thursday, August 9th; and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday, August 10th, in Lindsay's Windsor Funeral Home, 194 King Street, Windsor.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, August 11th, 2007, in Lindsay’s Windsor Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Jennifer Riley officiating.
Interment will be held at: 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 14th, 2007, at Maplewood Cemetery, Windsor.
Family flowers only, donations may be made to: Heart & Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia, Windsor Plains Baptist Church or a charity of one’s choice.

Mr. Brad Broderick
June 23, 1963 - August 4, 2007

BRODERICK, Brad (Longtime and dedicated employee of Woodbine Racetrack) passed way suddenly at his home on Saturday, August 4, 2007. Brad, beloved son of Ted and the late Linda Broderick. Loved brother of Brenda Leask, Jason Broderick, and Kim and husband Steven Kostecky. Brad will be sadly missed by his many friends at Woodbine and Fort Erie Racetracks.
Friends will be received at the LYNETT FUNERAL HOME, 3299 Dundas St. West (one block east of Runnymede) Tuesday 6-9 pm. Funeral service in the chapel Wednesday, August 15, at 12 noon. Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations to the World Wild Life Fund would be appreciated by the family.

Mr. William Edward Hand
August 2, 1944 - July 30, 2007

HAND, William Edward - In his 63rd year after a courageous battle. Dear Son to the late Norman and Rebecca Hand. Beloved father of William Jr., and Rhonda (Chris). Good friend of Joan Davidson. Brother to Margaret (Fred), George (late Marion), Grace (late Dale), Norman (Cindi), Robert (Sue), and the late Albert, Freddy, Alice and Isabel. Proud Grandfather of Mira and Macy. Uncle and Great Uncle to many. William was a dedicated teamster and long time employee of Fastfrate. Special thanks to Wanda and the Palliative Care Unit at Bridgepoint Health.

Mr. Edward Leo Culleton
January 29, 1929 - August 3, 2007

CULLETON, Edward Deo (WWII Vetran) passed away peacefully on August 3, 2007, in his 92nd yeare. Beloved husband of the late Jean Violet Sandy. Loving father to Joan Scott, Marlene Brennan, Charlene Soundy, Charles Salt, Gordon Culleton, Gary Culleton, William Culleton, Bonnie Dack, Patricia Elliott and Holly Culleton. Edward will be sadly missed by his many grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, extended family and many, many friends. Special thanks to the staff at Toronto East General Hospital.
Friends may visit WASHINGTON & JOHNSTON FUNERAL HOME, 717 Queen St. E. Toronto (Just east of broadview) from 2-4 & 7-9 pm on Monday August 6, 2007, with a Mass at St. Joseph's and Our Lady of Good Health, 172 Leslie St. Toronto on Tuesday at 10 am. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association.

February 9, 1941 - August 1, 2007

Visitation took place on Tuesday August 7, 2007 from 5-9 pm with a service in the chapel Wednesday August 8, 2007 at 11am. Interment at Highland Memory Gardens to follow.
