CLARKE, Percy (Larry)
passed away suddenly on July 20, 2007 surrounded by his family. He will be missed by his wife Joan and by his children Kenneth, Donna, Stephen, Gregory and Nicole. He was a wonderful grandfather and great-grandfather. Percy will also be missed by his sister Grace and by his extended family in Newfoundland. Visitation will take place on Tuesday, July 24, 2007 at 2pm until time of the service at 3:30pm in the funeral home chapel of the Washington & Johnston Funeral Home 717 Queen St. E. (at Broadview). Mr. John Joseph "Jack" Evans
September 8, 1927 - August 4, 2007
On Saturday, August 4, 2007 in his 80th year, Jack was called to his eternal reward after a life of joy and happiness. John "Joseph "Jack" Evans was born in Seaforth, Ontario to William John Evans and Mary (Ryan) Evans; a brother to Mary (2001) and Margaret. Huron County born and bred and determined to spend his life there, Jack nwas rock solid in his commitments - his nickname- "Honest John". No gray areas in his life - one wife, one family, one house, and one passions - sports. An avid and respected team player in football, baseball and hockey. An accomplished golfer, a long time junior B hockey coach in the Detroit Red Wings organization dating from 1957 and a ten year coach with his beloved Canada Company softball team. As a NHL scout with with the Buffalo Sabres, Detroit Red Wings and St. Louis blues along with a year in the Hockey Canada Junior Program. Jack criss-crossed North America many times and made several trips to Europe and Russia. Over the thirty year spa of that career, his professional life was spent in his favourite recreational pursuit, watching hockey games many thousands of them. Before making a draft pick, the last question at the St. Louis Blues table at the annual Junior Draft was "What does Jack think?" Jack's response "Well boys, in my opinion...." Jack's life was devoted to and shared with his loving family, wife Rosemarie, daughters Mary Jo and Jenny (husband Darren De Jean) who rejoiced in his life and now mourn his passing. friends will be received at McCallum & pala Funeral Home, Goderich on Monday August 6, 2007 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. Parish prayers will be held at the Funeral Home on Monday evening at 8:30 PM. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church, Goderich on Tuesday August 7, 2007 at 11 AM. As an expression of sympathy donations may be made to the A.M. & G. H. Foundation CT Scanner.

McBAIN, Barbara Joan passed away in her sleep in the early hours of Sunday, August 12, 2007 at Scarborough Grace Hospital. She leaves her husband Robert Gordon McBain, sons Reid, Grant, daughters-in-law Sheri and Jill, and much loved grandchildren Max, Hayley, Charlotte and Katrina. Friends will be received at the HIGHLAND FUNERAL HOME, 3280 Sheppard Avenue East (west of Warden, ) on Thursday, August 16, 2007 from 10 a.m. until time of memorial service beginning at 12 noon at the funeral home. LODGE, William - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of William Lodge, on Sunday, August 12, 2007, at the age of 61.
Left to cherish his memory is his life companion, Margaret Hills, loving son, Sean Lodge (Patty) and extended family, John (Linda), Janice (Lloyd), Ursula, and James. William was born in Dublin, Ireland to mother Ilene (deceased) and John Lodge (deceased) and his new bride of 33 years, Maureen. He also leaves behind 2 grandchildren and brother John (Marilena), sister Ann (Geoff) of England, and many cousins, nieces and nephews in England and Ireland.
William will also be missed by his extended families, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
A celebration of William's life will be held Thursday and Friday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the L.G. WALLACE FUNERAL HOME, 151 Ottawa Street North .
A Funeral Service will be held at the Holy Family Catholic Church on Saturday, August 18 at 10:00 a.m., 1393 Cannon St. East, Hamilton. Cremation to follow.

HALASZ, Paul passed away peacefully and surrounded by his family at Cummer Lodge on Saturday, August 11th, 2007. Predeceased by his first wife Gabi. Beloved husband of Eva. Stepfather of John Biro (Sharon). Grandfather of Elliot (Dina) and Laurie Biro. A Celebration of Paul's Life will be held on Sunday, August 19th, 2007 at 11 a.m. at Highland Funeral Home (3280 Sheppard Avenue East). Cheyne, Caroline Ann (nee) McDonald passed away peacefully surrounded by family on August 14, 2007 in her 104th year. Beloved wife of the Late Andrew P. Cheyne (Jones). Loved and loving mother of George and June Cheyne of Bright, Ontario, Anita and Eric Mountjoy of Montreal, Caroline and Graham Brown of Etobicoke, Lynda and James King fo Lake Eugenia. Survived by 14 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Visitation will take place on Wednesday August 15, 2007 from 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 PM at the Scott Funeral Home Brampton Chapel, 289 Main St. N, Brampton. A celebration of Life will take place on Thursday August 16, 2007 at 11 AM at the Grace United Church 156 Main St. Brampton. Interment to follow at the Brampton Cemetery. Linda Marie Stropkovics (nee Colautti) 54 years, passed away peacefully, on August 15, 2007. Wife of Daniel. Loving mother of Dana Lynn Jomea and husband Mohamad, of AL. Dear daughter of John and Jeanne Colautti (nee Tutton). Dear daughter-in-law of Mary and the late James Stropkovics. Dear sister to Anita Colautti; Michael and Sharon; and Jeanne Elliot. Dear aunt to many nieces and nephews. Dear sister-in-law to Blanche Stropkovics (the late James); Alan and Sharon; Doug; Bruce and Linda. Linda loved her family and her gardens and will truly be missed by all. Visiting Friday, from 2-5 and 7-9 at The Marcotte Funeral Home and Chapel, 12105 Tecumseh Road, Tecumseh. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, Aug. 17, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Cremation and Entombment at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
