Mr. Joachim "Joss" Thomas Walsh
January 7, 1931 - October 13, 2007

On Saturday, October 2007 at home, with his family by his side, Joss closed his eyes here on earth and opened them in the arms of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Beloved husband of Eileen for 51 years. Loving father of David (Marion), Jacqueline Mintz (Blair), Caroline Gianias (Gus) and Vicki Worth (Bobby). Proud Ganga of Rory, Joshua, Ryan, Natalie, Bailey, Sarah, Daniel, Sydney and Mackenzie. Joss will be sadly missed by his brother Noel (Carmel) and niece Janette, his sister Betty, sister-in-law Marie Nolan (Christy) and nephew Alan. Friends will be received at the Taylor Funeral Home, 524 Davis Dr., Newmarket, from 10 - 11 am on Friday, October 19, 2007. A celebration of Joss' life will follow in the chapel at 11 am. For those who wish, donations to the Kidney Foundation would be appreciated.

Peacefully at home on Tuesday October 16, 2007 in his 92nd year. Gord West, loving husband of the late Norma MacPhee. Beloved son of the late George West and Mary MacDonald. Beloved father of Ronald (Lil) and the late Mary, Robert (and the late Donna), Dorothy (and the late Denis) Ardagh and Peggy (the late Robert) Brown. Beloved grandfather of Tammy, Ronald, Joanne, Wendy, Shelley, Chris, Greg, and Jennifer, Norma-Jean and Ann-Marie. Great-grandfather of Sydney, Danielle, Pypher, Aidan, Rowan, Jacob, Sydney, Michael, Denis, Benjamin, Luke, Madeline and Olivia. Brother of the late Eva, Frances, William and Donald. The family will receive friends at the McEACHNIE FUNERAL HOME, 28 Old Kingston Road, Pickering Village (Ajax) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Friday. The Funeral Mass will be held at St. Bernadette’s (21 Bayly St. E., Ajax) on Saturday, October 20, 2007 at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.

Weston Richard STEVENS

passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by the love of his family at home on October 15, 2007 at the age of 82. RCAF Pilot in WW2 and loyal employee of Uniroyal (Montreal) for 43 years. Survived by his loving wife and best friend of 57 years, Marjorie (Lowings). Proud father of Cameron (Virginia), Allan and Eric (Nander). Adoring grandfather of Timothy and Emily. Also survived by his brother Trevor (Barbara), his sister Jean (Reg) and his sister-in-law Marilyn Pitre. Fondly remembered by nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the McEACHNIE FUNERAL HOME, 28 Old Kingston Road, Pickering Village (Ajax) from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Wednesday. Funeral Service will take place on Thursday October 18, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Durham Regional Cancer Centre would be appreciated.

Sharon (nee Baker) BARNARD,

passed away suddenly at Royal Victoria Hospital on October 14, 2007. Beloved wife of the late Bill Barnard. Predeceased by her parents John and Rhoda, and brother Fred. Loving sister of Marie and Debbie. Loving and cherished aunt of Charlene (Shawn), Michelle, Meghan, Billy, Nicholas, and Andrew, and great-aunt of Shawna, Alyssia, Crystal, Christopher, Blake, and Cain. She will be sadly missed by her many friends and extended family. The family will receive friends at the McEACHNIE FUNERAL HOME, 28 Old Kingston Road, Pickering Village (Ajax) for a memorial service on Saturday, November 3, 2007 at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with visitation one hour prior. Interment of cremated remains to follow at Erskine Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Peterborough Special Olympics would be appreciated by the family.

Peacefully at Faith Manor, Brampton on Wednesday, October 17, 2007 in her 89th year. Predeceased by her husband Gordon (1989), brothers Harold and George, and sister Isabel. She will be remembered by sister Catherine, brother Don, and many nieces and nephews. At Marie's request, cremation has taken place and there will be no funeral service. passed away peacefully at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Wednesday, October 17, 2007 in her 87th year. Loving wife of Lionel. Mother of Lorraine, Lionel, Sandra, Marilyn, David and Gary. Proud and beloved grandmother of many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She will be lovingly remembered by her brothers Hazen, Ken and Doug. Pre-deceased by her brothers Walter, Ronnie, Bobby, sister Dorothy and parents Gladys and Frank Damon. She will be greatly missed by many family members and friends. The family will receive friends at the McEACHNIE FUNERAL HOME, 28 Old Kingston Road, Pickering Village (Ajax) from 2-4 and 7-9 pm on Friday. Funeral service in the Chapel on Saturday, October 20, 2007 at 1 pm. Interment - Duffin Meadows Cemetery. Should family or friends so desire, donations to the Heart and Stroke Society or the Kidney Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
