Mr. Joachim "Joss" Thomas Walsh

On Saturday, October 2007 at home, with his family by his side, Joss closed his eyes here on earth and opened them in the arms of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Beloved husband of Eileen for 51 years. Loving father of David (Marion), Jacqueline Mintz (Blair), Caroline Gianias (Gus) and Vicki Worth (Bobby). Proud Ganga of Rory, Joshua, Ryan, Natalie, Bailey, Sarah, Daniel, Sydney and Mackenzie. Joss will be sadly missed by his brother Noel (Carmel) and niece Janette, his sister Betty, sister-in-law Marie Nolan (Christy) and nephew Alan. Friends will be received at the Taylor Funeral Home, 524 Davis Dr., Newmarket, from 10 - 11 am on Friday, October 19, 2007. A celebration of Joss' life will follow in the chapel at 11 am. Beloved father of Ronald (Lil) and the late Mary, Robert (and the late Donna), Dorothy (and the late Denis) Ardagh and Peggy (the late Robert) Brown. Beloved grandfather of Tammy, Ronald, Joanne, Wendy, Shelley, Chris, Greg, and Jennifer, Norma-Jean and Ann-Marie. Great-grandfather of Sydney, Danielle, Pypher, Aidan, Rowan, Jacob, Sydney, Michael, Denis, Benjamin, Luke, Madeline and Olivia. Brother of the late Eva, Frances, William and Donald. passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by the love of his family at home on October 15, 2007 at the age of 82. RCAF Pilot in WW2 and loyal employee of Uniroyal (Montreal) for 43 years. Survived by his loving wife and best friend of 57 years, Marjorie (Lowings). Proud father of Cameron (Virginia), Allan and Eric (Nander). Adoring grandfather of Timothy and Emily. Also survived by his brother Trevor (Barbara), his sister Jean (Reg) and his sister-in-law Marilyn Pitre. Fondly remembered by nieces and nephews.
