Peter James Bell, (WW II Veteran, 14th Army S.E. Asia Command)
Peter passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 23, 2007 surrounded by his loving wife and best friend for 59 years, Josephine, his children Steve and his wife Nora, Jim and Jan, He will be sadly missed by his grandchildren Warren, Alysha, Jamie, Mike and Sarah, his great grandchildren Jaiden and Kaiya and his favourite four legged friend Molson Crichton. Peter was a wonderful warm loving man with a strong sense of family of whom he was extremely proud. He made everyone he knew feel special in their own unique way often using his wonderful sense of humour. His never ending passion for music crossed all genre which he shared not only with family and friends but with his teenage Grandchildren and their friends just as he had done with his own children.
Special thanks to Dr. Gerry Laudanski, Dr. Sandy MacDonald, Dr. Doug Anstgarden and the absolutely amazing Critical Care Team at Royal Victoria Hospital, Barrie, Ontario for their warmth, care, dedication and compassion….You made everything so much better!!!! A Memorial Service will take place at St. Dunstan of Canterbury Anglican Church, 56 Lawson Road, West Hill at 12:30 p.m. Friday, October 26th with interment at Pine Hills Cemetery. In lieu of flowers Peter requested donations to be made to either the J. David and Jan Crichton Caregivers Fund at Princess Margaret Hospital, the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Royal Victoria Hospital, Barrie, Ontario.

Loving father of Kerry (Debbie) Eagen, Sheila (Jim) Pyne, Kathleen Eagen, Kelly (Jake) de Jong, Michael (Barb) Eagen of London, Sharon (Rick) Parent, Shawn (Shelley) Eagen of Michigan, and Shannon (Sean) Gallaway of Toronto. Cherished grandfather of Brendan Eagen, Morgan Eagen, Jesse Pyne, Jake Pyne, Jay-Michael Pyne, Sadie Pyne, Rosalind Pyne, Kaitlind de Jong, J. Nicholaas de Jong, Lauren Eagen, Joshua Eagen, Carly Parent, Dane Parent, Matthew Eagen, Eagen Gallaway, Conor Gallaway and predeceased by Riley Eagen (1982). Mr. Eagen was retired President of Green Giant of Canada, a member of the International Order of the Alhambra Guzera Caravan #72, Riverside Knights of Columbus Council 4924 third degree and also was involved with the fundraising committee of Assumption Church. Visiting will be at the Janisse Bros.-Marcotte Funeral Home, 1139 Ouellette Avenue , on Sunday from 2-5 & 7-9 p.m. with prayers at 7:30 p.m. Note: Family and friends are requested to meet at Assumption Church, 350 Huron Church Road, on Monday, October 29, 2007, for further visitation from 12:00 p.m. until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 1:00 p.m. Fr. Paul Walsh celebrant. Interment Heavenly Rest Cemetery. A tree will be planted in memory of Winston Eagen in the Janisse Marcotte Heritage Forest.
