Mr. John Ross Campbell
November 9, 1956 - October 26, 2007
Campbell, John Ross peacefully passed away on Friday, October 26, 2007 at the William Osler Health Center in Brampton. Beloved son of Betty and the Late Bob Campbell. Lovingly remembered by his sister Jane and her spouse John Brillinger of Woodbridge and his brother Jim Campbell and his wife Angela of Georgetown. Sadly missed by his extended cottage family on Canal Lake. John's vast hockey experiences touched many lives from his playing days with the North York Rangers, Kitchener Rangers, Waterloo Warriors, SVB Bayreuth Germany, Friday Night Spitfires, Sunday Morning Pickup...."With Victories too numerous to mention" Family and friends will be received at the Scott Funeral Home Brampton Chapel 289 Main St. N. on Monday from 7 - 9 p.m. Funeral ceremonies will be hild at the the chapel on Tuesday, October 30, 2007 at 1:30 pm. Cremation to follow. The family wish to express sincere appreciation to the caregivers of 4E respirology department at the William Osler Health Center. If so desired Memorial contributions to the Brampton Minor Hockey Association would be greatly appreciated by the family.

Murdock, Stanley - With tremendous sorrow and sadness, the family announces his passing at Peel Memorial Hospital in Brampton after a courageous battle with cancer beloved husband of Nadia Murdock. Loving father of Brian, Alan, Gordon, Robert, Tanya, Verena and Jacquie. Fondly remembered by his 19 Grandchildren and 4 Great Grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Stan was predeceas3ed by his mother Jean and brothers Jimmy, Kenny and Gordon.
The Family will receive friends at the Scott Funeral Home 289 Main St. N. Brampton on Wednesday, October 31, 2007 from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Funeral ceremonies will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the palliative care unit at Brampton Civic Hospital.

Audrey Joan Cook passed away peacefully, following a brief illness at Scarborough Centenary Hospital on Saturday, October 20, 2007 in her 75th year. Beloved wife of James. Much loved mother to Norma (David Pleasance), and Jill (Hans Mueller). Proud grandmother to Emily, Hans Christopher, Amy and Karl. Sister in-law to Elsie Bailey. She will be sadly missed by friends, family and all who knew her. The family will receive friends at the McEACHNIE FUNERAL HOME, 28 Old Kingston Road, Pickering Village (Ajax) from 7-9 p.m. on Tuesday, October 23rd, 2007. The Funeral Service will follow in the chapel on Wednesday, October 24th at 1:00 p.m. Cremation. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Arthritis Society of Canada would be greatly appreciated.

Violet (Vi) Muriel CUSHNIE - It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we said goodbye to Vi (nee Bilokreli) on Friday, October 26, 2007 after a brief struggle.
Vi was born in Theodore, Saskatchewan and spent her early years on the family farm before moving to Yorkton with her parents. While working in Winnipeg, she met George and they moved to Saskatoon and eventually, to the Toronto area.
She will be lovingly remembered by George, her husband of 52 years; her son Jim Cushnie (Joan and grandchildren Leigh, Drew and Amber); her daughter Sandra Bowser (Doug and grandchildren Kally, Julie, Tessa and Josee); her daughter Heather Mayhew (Michael and grandchildren Carly and Patrick).
Vi will be sorely missed by her extended family and friends both out west and in Ontario. The friendships that she and George formed through memberships at Avonlea Curling Club and Scarboro Golf and Country Club have been strong and long-lasting.
Our family extends our gratitude to the 2 West ICU staff of Ajax-Pickering Hospital. Their kindness, comfort and caring support helped us all through this difficult time.
Respecting Vi’s wishes, the family will receive friends and family at a gathering to celebrate her life on Saturday, November 3, 2007 from 10a.m. to 1p.m. at McEACHNIE FUNERAL HOME, 28 Old Kingston Rd, Pickering Village, Ajax.

Bruce died at age 46, surrounded by family after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Beloved husband and best friend of Anne (nee McLean) and proud father of Kyra and Grace. Loving son of Marion and the late Gilbert Meredith, Moncton, NB. Dear brother of Mary (Gary Worth), Burnaby, BC and Gilbert (Judy), Riverview, NB. Son-in-law of Joyce McLean and brother-in-law of Donald McLean (Michelle), Courtice, ON and Tammy Mason (Darren), Whitby, ON. Dear uncle to Joanne, Benjamin, Susan, Peter, Kathryn, Melanie, Kirstyn, Hilary, Kurtis and Lauren. Special cousin of John and Jim Kilpatrick, Pickering Village, ON. Bruce and Anne married after graduating from Mount Allison University in Sackville, NB. They recently celebrated their 23rd wedding anniversary. Bruce was a speech language pathologist working at the Rotary Children’s place in Sarnia, ON and more recently at Grandview Children’s Centre in Oshawa, ON. Bruce’s passions were music, Scrabble, table hockey, family and friends. He will be fondly remembered for those things as well as for his gracious, giving personality and his positive attitude toward every aspect of his life. A tribute of music and song will be held on Sunday, November 4, 2007 at 6:30 p.m. at Faith United Church, Courtice ON, with a reception to follow for time of fellowship and refreshments. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to an Education Fund for his daughters. Maureen DIPEDE - Surrounded by her children, Maureen passed away on October 27 after a valiant and courageous battle with cancer. Her kindness, devotion to her family and her caring spirit will live in the hearts of all who knew her. Beloved wife and partner of John DiPede. Proud and devoted mother of son Sean and wife Lisa Edward, daughter Andrea and husband Larry Daw, son Paul and wife Meredith Barrameda and son Daniel. Loving grandmother of her 3 precious granddaughters; Kara, Lauren and Norah. Sadly missed by her sister Margaret DiPede and late husband Vince, sister Genevieve Hanson and husband Tom, brother Bill Ryan and wife Susan, and their families. VANHOOSER, EMERY (Dupont Retiree) passed away peacefully, at the St. Mary's of the Lake Hospital, with his family by his side, on Saturday, October 27, 2007 Mr. Emery Franklin Vanhooser. Beloved husband for 30 years and best friend of Jane. Loving father of Lori (Dan) DaCosta. Proud grandfather to be. Dear brother of Aleta (Fred) Paquin and Joan (Keith) Grills. Sadly missed by his parents-in-law Gordon and Brenda McCune and sisters-in-law Catherine (Walter) Klein and Colleen (Jack) Hunt. Fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews, relatives and friends and Baxter the dog.
Friends will be received at the Township Chapel of Gordon F. Tompkins, 435 Davis Drive (Taylor Kidd Blvd at Centennial Drive) on Thursday, November 1st, 2007 from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. prior to the memorial service in the chapel at 11 a.m. Interment Glenhaven Memorial Gardens.
